It’s interesting how so many of these “Venezuelans” on the internet with colorful stories of how Brutal™ and Repressive™ socialism is not only speak very colloquial, very American English, but they also know all the right places on the internet for posting their “stories” and e-begging. Interesting.

You have to be fucking kidding me right? Look I’m sorry Americans don’t have the IQ to learn another language, but yeah, many spanish speaking people can also learn English and be better writers at that. What you call “e-begging” is our way to get your socialist apologists’ heads out of your asses so you can see what socialism actually does.

Bitch, socialism isn’t rich people being taken away from their wealth so they can give it to the poor, it’s middle class people like you and me splitting our resources in half, and giving it to people who never worked a single day of their lives just because “they are poorer than you”.

Meanwhile, the rich just get richer and instead of creating jobs so poor people can have an income, they have them by the balls, waiting in long ass queues for 1k of flour and maybe rice, which is not even free. Socialism does not want poor people to be rich because “capitalism is bad”, they want everyone to be poor and dependant on the government.

Look, just because you’re a racist piece of crap who thinks that learning a new language and achieving the goal of sounding like a native is impossible for Venezuelans, doesn’t mean that you’re right.

If you’re so set on your ideology of “Socialism is the perfect system!” to the point where you’re dismissing a huge group of people from a country who is suffering because of said ideology then you really need to re-think your life choices.

You haven’t lived here, you haven’t had a family member die because the medicine they so seriously needed was either extremelly expensive or downright unobtainable. You haven’t gone to sleep while your children are crying because they’re hungry but you have nothing to give them. You haven’t crossed a border only to become a prostitute to have enough money to send your family in order to help them a little. You haven’t lived any of the crap we have gone through here. And yet here you are calling all the Venezuelans who complain about Maduro fake.

If this somehow was a capitalist regime and the people who complained supported a socialist movement you would have been commenting on how smart Venezuelan people are and how good their English is.

Seriously go read actual articles about the situation of Venezuela before you go spewing all this non-sense. Oh but wait, you probably only read articles made by webpages that talk about how  “Socialism is the perfect system!” so you’ll probably never encounter any truths in your life.

Hello followers, I'm sorry that this is completely unrelated to the blog but it's a very serious subject. People on Tumblr are denying what is happening in my country and that is something that, considering the current tense climate here, I cannot allow.

The amount of people that believe that Nicolas Maduro was chosen democratically baffles me. All elections since 2004 have been rigged to keep this government in power. I’ve seen ballot boxes be burned, I’ve seen the government use the identification numbers of dead people to get more votes.

A third of the Venezuelan crowd eats once a day.

Last time I spoke to my grandmother, she told me she hadn’t been able to take a shower in ten days because she didn’t have water.

My father got robbed more times than I can count when we still lived there.

My father, when I was accepted in the most recognised university of Venezuela (UCV — which is HIS university too), told me he didn’t want me to go because he feared for my life.

During my last two years of high school, almost every month someone I knew was either going to a goodbye party or leaving the country themselves. I went to the airport four times the summer I left.

My brother had to drop out of university in the middle of his course because he couldn’t get there due to lack of transportation.

Millions of kids and teenagers have left their school because they can’t afford it. Teenagers around my age (16 at the time) would come up to my dad to ask him for bread.

Children and elders die of malnutrition every day. And if you don’t die of starvation, you die due to sicknesses.

You can’t find basic products, and if you can you can’t afford them. When I went to school at five in the morning, I’d already seen a bunch of people lined up in the supermarkets to see what was arriving. Sometimes they didn’t even know, but they made the line either way.

If you don’t live in the capital, there’s a chance your light gets cut off on the daily for hours.

If you study in the capital, there’s a chance your classes get stopped at least once a month unless you go to a private university.

During the riots of 2017, over a hundred people died in the span of three months. Thousands were injured.

If you ask any Venezuelan, 98% will tell you they’ve lost someone they know to the insecurity of our country.

My aunt had a gun pointed at her for her phone, and she was lucky she made it to walk away from that because the majority wind up dead.

When I went on Instagram an hour ago, I found out people from my home town are being shot IN THEIR OWN HOMES.

You think we chose this?

Think again.

The government of Nicolas Maduro isn’t legitimate. That man has more blood on his hands than any politician I’ve seen on the news. He deserves to go to prison and rot in there to pay for all the deaths and suffering he’s caused.

So when we hear the word “coup”, we think “ FINALLY” because we’ve been fighting for too long. I was born into this dictatorship. It’s the only government I ever knew.

What Venezuelans want is for their votes to matter, for their voices to be heard, for their loved ones to return.

What Venezuelans want is peace.

So give us fucking peace.

Lets also mention all the people who have straight up decided to kill themselves in desperation during the last year.

An example of this was one of my friend's neighbor, who was an old man who had worked his whole life and was now supposed to be enjoying his golden years. But he found himself barely being able to feed himself and his wife. He started feeling sick after a while and decided to go to the doctor, i do not know what he was diagnosed with but it was probably cancer, because he realized that paying for the treatment, heck, just finding the medicines would be impossible for him. So he ended up jumping off a building.

Suicide rates are rising but no one from the government will even acknowledge this. Not even the media will report on it.
