So this is what I’ve been up to! I recently made a silly short film about kid thieves. Watch Here
A girl who loves ice skating is cursed to break the ice she skates on, yet she continues doing what she loves and inspires others to do the same.
My first year film is finally done! This has been a huge learning experience and I can’t wait to make cooler things next year. ✌

Hey! I've been accepted into MICA. What do you think of the animation department? Does it provide you with enough information and resources?
First off, congrats! I went into mica as an animation major but I changed to illustration halfway through because it offered better electives. Mica is kinda special in which you’re allowed to take classes from any major as long as restrictions allow. Some classes only become free for all after a certain time, but by then popular classes from other majors are usually filled up. Currently I have an undeclared concentration in animation and I’ve only taken like, 3 classes related to it (intro 2d, intro 3d, storyboards). You can find the course list here. Its been a pretty good foundation, but the department isn’t as strong compared to its other ones/other schools faculty wise. I do get the impression that its more chill, really depends on how you roll and what kind of atmosphere you like to surround yourself with. Best of luck!
So! This year I decided to take a chance and apply to Calarts character animation and amazingly, I got in!! Spent a lot of time jumping around my dorm room because this was my second application and being rejected the first time around 2 years ago hurt more than I would’ve liked. However, my time at MICA has been extremely valuable to my growth as an artist and prepared me to take on heavy schedules and intense workloads. These are some figure drawings from my calarts portfolio, but if you want to see the rest, hmu! More to come.
