“Why don’t we get some sleep then?” *She nuzzled her again, still cuddling her.*

“Good idea, my love.” *She yawned and drifted to sleep.

*She smiled and kissed her on the forehead before falling asleep herself.*

*In the morning Past woke early and smiled she had a great dream the night before she wanted to do something crazy. Carefully she dangled her legs off the bed slowly sliding her feet to the floor. She used the bed to keep steady as she attempted to stand straight but as soon as she let go she fell to the floor.* “OW! Michelle!”

*She woke up, startled as she tried to help her back onto the bed.* “W-what were you doing?”

*she had a few tears rolling down her face.* “It was just a dream…it is always just a dream…I felt like I was walking again..”

“Well, maybe it won’t be just a dream soon..” *She trailed off as she hugged Past, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek.*

*Past sighed* “I think it’s time to stop hoping…”

“Why’s that? Just because you’re not ready to walk quite yet doesn’t mean we should give up.”

“Because…it hurts too much to keep thinking I will..it’s better to accept I won’t..”

“And what if you get another tingle in your leg today?”

“it means nothing to me..”

“…I still feel like you’ll be able to walk again, so I’ll just hope for you.” *She hugged Past tightly and nuzzled her.*

“Just stop….it’s never going to happen…never…” *She mumbled.* “Get my wheelchair please…I need to use the bathroom.”

“Ok..” *She picked Past up and set her in her wheelchair before pushing her to the bathroom.*

*Past sighed and used the bathroom. Afterwards she sat in silence not even wanting breakfast.*

*She took Past to the living room and sat next to her.* “..Do you need anything?”

“no…not at all…” *Past sat in silence.*

"Ok..." *She silently sat there as well, and tried to comfort Past by putting an arm around her shoulder.*

*She happily nuzzled her back.*
