In French we don’t say “If six saws are sawing six saws, six saws are sawing six saws, isn’t it ?”, we say “Si six scies scient six scies, six scies scient six scies, si ?” and I think it’s awesome because it’s pronounced “Si si si si si si, si si si si si, si ?”.

Disclaimer: French people complain a lot. A lot. Don’t be surprised if 90% of these expressions are complaining.
And finally,
T’es con. No English translation can express the power behind the words “t’es con”. While it may sort of translate to “you’re a c*nt/idiot”, it expresses something much deeper. You really are a god damn fool.

Hey y’all! I’m back with another original post! We’ve already had our first snowfall here at school so I decided it was time to make a post about how I get my dorm ready for the winter.
Now, I’m by no means an expert on this. I was born and raised in Texas but go to school up in Wisconsin. This is only my second winter up here but hopefully, the few tips and tricks that I learned last year can help you! They are just some small things that I found made my dorm feel cozier and warmer. Hope you enjoy!
Decorations! I love Christmas. I’m one of those people. I make gifts for all of my friends and when at home, I have a 6 ft tall tree in my room. However, dorms are smaller and there is nowhere as much space. However, I found a way around it! Most college students will already have some sort of Christmas lights strung around your room, but if you don’t, I highly recommend it. It makes your room just feel cozy and helps rest your eyes from the harsh fluorescent lights dorms tend to have. I also will put up some garland and ornaments in my window, as the photo above shows. It allows me to have my room decorated even though I don’t have room for a tree. Though I am going to try to get a small one in my room this year (lol)
Bedding! Omg, bedding is one of the most important things for me when it comes to winter. First off, the heat in our dorms is too good. It’s an old building, so we can’t control the heat for one and for two, it gets really hot. As a result, a lot of times I end up opening one of my windows, which only makes my room freezing. It’s a bad cycle. But, I found that last year one of my godsends were flannel sheets. I didn’t know they existed until last year but I love them. I just ordered some nice ones from Pottery Barn and I can’t wait. But honestly, spend some money on some good quality flannel sheets, blankets, pillows. Basically, anything that will make your bed perfect for you. A good night’s sleep is important, and you can’t have that if you are freezing the whole night.
Warm Drinks and food! Yes, snowy days and Christmas movies are one of my favorite things to do in the winter. And, just because I’m at school does not mean I won’t continue doing it. I have a hot water kettle in my dorm and have access to a microwave as well. As a result, I always have tons of treats in my dorm during the holiday season. I love hot chocolate, coffee, popcorn, really anything warm. Then I also love things like those candy cane Hershey kisses. But these treats, or whatever you love, helps make your room feel more like home and helps with the cozy factor!
Cozy PJs (and slippers)! This one is going to be short and sweet. There is nothing worse than getting out of bed in the morning or having a blanket fall off you, and immediately freezing. That is why I highly recommend getting a pair of cozy PJs that you absolutely love. Whether they are fuzzy pants, leggings and a sweatshirt, or this cute set by VS, find what works best for you and go with it! Also, if you don’t have them yet, get yourself a nice pair of slippers. You won’t regret it.
A mini humidifier! Okay, so I’m going to be honest. I do not have this in my dorm… yet. But after last year, and after my nose hurting all winter, I’m definitely getting one. If your dorm is like mine, you either can’t control the heat or it dries out your whole room (or both!). A mini humidifier is both needed and convenient. You won’t have to deal with super dry and stuffy air, and you won’t have to sacrifice a lot of space in order to get it. I found this one just through a quick search on Amazon. I highly recommend going through and finding one that will work for you.
Alright! There are five quick tips I have for you for getting your dorm room ready for winter. Obviously, there are plenty of other little tips and tricks people have for making their dorm ready for winter. What are your favorites? Comment on this post or, if you are up to it, make your own post like this. Just remember to give credit and tag it with #bibliostudy so I can find it and like (and maybe repost) it! Anyways, I hope you liked it! Please like, comment, repost, and give a follow! We’d love to have you in our little family with us!
