This story is so gut-wrenching. It breaks my heart. Just when I think Reader is making progress, Dean comes along blowing it all to pieces. Then you have to end it on a note of hope.

“I know what you want, Y/N,” he gives his bottom lip a quick lick before exhaling deeply, ”but I can’t give you what you deserve.”

Look at what I got yesterday...

I so was not expecting this so soon! Ordered Wednesday, got it Saturday! This thing is massive and heavy and so, so worth the price! It came packaged in it’s own box in a larger box and was shrink wrapped (hence the warped look on the back picture). The pages are high quality, there’s a gajillion pictures and it’s really interesting to get a chance to see even familiar episodes through a different lense. If you have the means when they restock, I highly recommend!

FYI: I got the book from Insight Editions. It’s sold out atm but I heard you can sign up to be notified on their website when they do another print run.

Its hard to find words when so much had already been said, but the murder of Sarah Everhard has hit half the population harder than the other. A serving police officer has been arrested for her murder, a person who should have been trusted to keep people safe. "It was only one officer, you can't tar the whole force the say way"

i haven’t seen any posts regarding the outcry that’s happening in the UK right now so: the murder of sarah everard, who went missing in london last week and whose body was found a few days ago and the publication of a survey which found that 97% of women in the UK have experienced sexual harassment has caused public uproar about misogyny and violence against women. sarah, who went missing as she walked home from a friend’s house, did everything women are “supposed to” as she walked home in the dark: wear bright clothing, stick to main roads, walk under bright street lights. the last image of her alive is from CCTV footage taken about 30 mins walking distance from her home, in which she can be seen talking to her boyfriend on the phone. the man who’s been charged with her murder is a cop. and not just any cop, a diplomatic protection officer, which means he’s one of around 5% of cops in the UK that carries a gun, although he was allegedly off duty at the time. we don’t know how sarah was murdered yet, but her body, which was found dumped in woodland miles from her home, took a few days to properly identify for a yet unknown reason. (edit: she was identified by dental records, meaning she was no longer recognisable enough to be identified by a family member) FIVE independent investigations have been opened in connection to the cop’s arrest. the uk gov is going to debate making misogyny a hate crime. violence against women isn’t new, but the level of outrage this time is significant. women have had enough.

Help raise £4000 to help my sister Jo to have her eggs extracted, frozen and stored before this opportunity is taken away from her forever.

my sister was diagnosed with ovarian cancer two weeks ago

and just yesterday, she was stripped of the hope that she would be able to have her eggs extracted and frozen (ahead of her full hysterectomy) so that eventually in the future she could use them to have a baby

i’m not taking any of this news well despite my best abilities to hide it so if i take time in getting back to anyone (whether it be an ask, dm, comment, reblog etc) please don’t take it personally

however, i have set up a justgiving page and am trying to raise money for her to able to have the procedure of preserving her eggs privately which costs upwards of £4k, i know times are tough but anything you can spare would mean the absolute world to me

Stop demonizing wolves.

Like seriously. Wolves we see in movies and media… Not how wolves behave. At all.

1. A lone wolf is cool, strong and, something to strive to be. FALSE.

Lone wolves have either lost, left or been pushed out of a pack. They are likely starving, lonely and/or looking for a new family or mate. Wolves are highly social and need companionship. They don’t want to be alone.

2. An alpha wolf is the biggest, baddest wolf in the pack who fights for their position. FALSE.

There are TWO Alpha wolves in a pack. They are mom and dad, the oldest and usually the smartest cause they have experienced the most. They are usually more timid and less likely to put themselves in danger because they are the only wolves in the pack that breed. If they die, the rest of the family will likely loose their way and eventually break apart.

Biggest wolves are usually the ‘betas’ who are children of the alphas (cause most everyone in the pack are puppies from mom and dad) and are generally more likely to investigate.

3. Wolves are brave and will hunt down intruders to there territory. FALSE.

Wolves are HUGE scaredy cats. They are naturally neophobic after about 6months to a year. Something new and different shows up in there territory, they are likely to avoid or keep their distance. They are NOT going to attack unless food or puppies are involved. They are great at communicating and you will know you need to back off long before you are in danger. This also means that no, that ‘wolf dog’ is not going to be a loyal and protective pet.

4. Wolves adopt. This is true.

Wolves are puppy crazy. Like they love puppies (for the most part) and its very common for packs to adopt puppies into their family. No issues with breeding cause, only mom and dad are allowed to do that. this is a way that puppies breed in captivity have been introduced to the wild, by being left near known nursing females and the pack will often come find them and bring them home. You want to known how much they love puppies? Wolves will give up their own meals to make sure puppies get fed first. Wolves can gorge themselves on up to 20lb of food and have been seen regurgitating for puppies and pregnant mothers.

Please stop demonizing wolves.

Like look at these idiots. I love them so much. Stand up too fast and you scary. That thing that touched the ground, its mine now. They want your shirt and you say no so they growl, tickle their tongue and they are just like WHY!? Trust a growling wolf way more than a dog any day. (All these guys live at a sanctuary for captive born and rescued wolves)

One of the reasons why dogs were so easy to domesticate is because the structure of a wolf pack and the structure of a human family are so similar.

The “alpha wolf” myth is, also, toxic and harmful and used to support nasty stuff in human society.

A wolf pack is a family. It’s mom, dad, the kids who haven’t left home yet and are helping look after the younger kids.

Wild wolves are hard to observe because they hear us before we hear them and tend to slip away. I’ve had the great privilege of seeing a wild wolf precisely once in my life.

Oh, and you cannot mistake a wolf for A. a dog or B. a coyote.

I got to pretty much directly compare wolf and coyote.

In addition to being quite a bit smaller, coyotes tend to bounce and cover ground that way, their action is more elevated. They’re very upright.

Wolves move closer to the ground and tend to glide.

MAYBE you might mistake a stationary coyote for a wolf, but when they move the difference is quite stark.

Huskies look nothing like wolves…

Lots of people are irrationally afraid of wolves like they are afraid of spiders, despite the fact that wolves are probably even more harmless than spiders because they can run away faster

Your POV

For a split second, albeit brief, you were naive enough to believe that Sam was about to confess to killing Amber. His eyes were wide and soft, almost fearful as he sat next to you on the couch and admitted that he had a confession. You were already formulating a plan in your mind. What would be the best way to react, without the fear of angering him or making him think you were about to run and tell the cops? You had to be smart about this, even with the confirmation. It was still going to be your word against his, unless he confessed to them too. You just wished you’d been smart enough to record this on your phone somehow. But what came out of his mouth wasn’t what you were expecting. It was only another lie.
