Hurt the muscle In my arm on Sunday and I've been stubbornly refusing to admit that it hurts as much as it does, because I do not agree that it Should hurt that much.

Just a PSA that this is really stupid bc I've been in pain all day and don't be like me and just take the damn pain killers 😭

in other news, i am now up to btvs's Go Fish and it Might be worth it for Bufy's 'we need to find the rest of the swim team and lock them up before they all get in touch with their inner halibut' line.

That's a lie, but that the english guy from Prison Break is in this ep as one of the assholes on the swim team and that he delivers the odd line in his own accent is hilarious. Like, if he didn't bother at all i'd just assume the student was from England and had moved there or something. However, he just randomly broke accent occasionally instead.

I also want to know what Giles said to the swim team to convince them to allow themselves to be locked up in a cage in the library.

my phone has a thing where it will void the charging point if it detects anything Not the charger in it, in theory to be automatically activated if it detects any liquids in it, which isn't a bad idea in theory but that it randomly (to be fair, it doesn't happen often) decides it's got liquid in it and will not let me charge the damn phone when really, there is no liquid, and it always does it when i have little to no charge and i cannot manually override? I could do without it.

i will, Very begrudgingly, accept Willow as a substitute teacher Only because i imagine trying to hire actual teachers in sunnydale high where the death rate for faculty probably sits somewhere around 70% is not easy. I will grit my teeth and deal with the stupid Willow as the teacher plot.

I will, however, Not accept that the kids in the class aren't in open revolt and laugh at her unfunny jokes. Whoever wrote this never met a teenager.

Common interior design mistakes: having a crummy house. Try having high ceilings with big windows, this will make your space feel airy amd inviting! Lots of extra rooms give you places to store things and reduce clutter in your living space. Consider having a view of the city skyline or perhaps the ocean, this will give your home a peaceful and sophisticated mood. Easy tips that anyone can follow!

Okay writing like this definitely exists but as someone who tried my best to write blog content* for companies that would actually be useful to normal people, here are some actual tips:

Put up a mirror across the room from your bedroom window. Mirrors reflect light and improve the light coverage given by what little your window has to offer. Even a cheap back-of-the-door hanging mirror from Walmart will help.

Additionally, mirrors make a space feel bigger because they reflect the space back on itself and trick your brain into not thinking there's a wall there. The more mirror, the more effective. If you've got free wall space on the front of some sliding closet doors, those are great spots to install frameless mirror.

Paint your room a light color to make the room feel bigger and more open. Dark colors absorb light and make the perimeter of the room feel like a void that's encroaching on your space

Avoid letting furniture cut into your limited floor space as much as possible. If your bedroom is small, put your bed into the corner - don't put the head against the middle of a wall; the secondary aisle space is unnecessary and wastes precious floor space. If you need a surface on both sides of the bed for two people to set drinks and stuff, consider installing a small wall shelf beside the inner half of the bed (somewhere it won't get in the way or get knocked into when sleeping). Also consider putting the far side of the bed against a wall with a window so that the windowsill can be used for setting things.

*this job was hell on earth and I'm never going to be normal again

These are a few staple pieces of advice that I used repeatedly. If anyone is interested in more, normal people interior design and layouting is something I'm really into and I can add more

i do think that xander genuinely did care about Giles in this episode, i disagree that he's Only using what's happened to bolster him hating Angel, and i won't hold him reducing Jenny to the gf because literally everybody does that, but damn he's lucky nobody made comments about this moment when he refuses to try and stop somebody he loves after they've gone evil in a few seasons

joyce saying 'i guess that was the talk' after yelling at buffy for having sex is rlly funny bc girl the talk is supposed to come BEFORE the sex and it's not supposed to just be yelling about her making bad decisions and you're supposed to have gotten to that Before she's been having sex (ideally when she first started showing interest in boys, which she has in front of joyce before so she does know).

I mean, call me wild and all, but if you don't try and have a sex talk with your kid (who is at this point 17) i really don't think yelling at them if you find out they've had sex and how bad of a choice that is is entirely fair.

sure it went wrong, but lol maybe it wouldn't have had you discussed this all with her Before hand (it would have, more than likely, but she'd have had more ground to stand on than she does here + she doesn't know the whole complicated story but literally Just fron Joyce's pov this is... off.)

cordy not getting that vampires can go in cars all they want and demanding that they do the no invitation ritual on her car so angel can't get it and Nobody tells her they don't need and invite, And they actually apparently do the ritual on her car to shut her up and did Nobody see a situation where Angelus went after Cordy and she ran to safety in her car and he kills her bc she thought she was safe there, or????

i know we justifiably rag on about s7 of buffy for hyping up how evil the first was and it being hardly anything but honestly they hyped angelus as awful and the worst thing he does is kill Jenny (which is bad and all) but we hear about that puppy story (i will not elaborate), what he does to Dru, and as the universe goes on we get more stories of his messed up adventures and he really doesn't do anything much more evil than your average vampire of the week.

oh, he makes garland out of willow's pet fish. Which is. Not that evil lbr.
