I love how silly the South Park kids are like one episode they’re like “today we learned that judging people before you get to know them is wrong :))” and the next they’re like “murder is okay!”

syndicated intro.

they took the s1 intro and crammed a bunch of references in it, it’s pretty neat.

mr american sniper over here god damn

THISSSSS

in TFBW he has the scrapped snowman craig be his defensive turret

and all his attacks are ranged in some way (if i remember correctly)

which makes sense cuz i feel like melee/close combat would be too much pressure

while i’m talking about things that don’t matter it also gets on my nervies when people who have Not watched south park go “lmao gay south park fans have clearly never watched the show they think it’s a wholesome yaoi and don’t know that it’s actually offensive” because they assume the show just spouts as many bigotries as they can fit in their air time. brother i hate to say it but there’s a reason this thing has gone on for 26 years and these guys have piles of awards. critically acclaimed musical The Book of Mormon is basically just a live action version of their usual shit now come on now

I'm the same anon from before and after finding out it was Larry Elder in the clip I did some further digging. I found it uploaded on the archived South Park Scriptorium that says the original release date was May 1, 2002 and that it got it from the lost South Park Studios chatroom. I'm still note sure where it was originally meant to be seen. Larry Elder's Website? TV? Or is it actually a chatroom original?

Yoooo good find anon, anyone else know? Your guess is as good as mine

The fact that Larry Elder made this misleading Tweet about something that happened in 2001 (probably trying to retrospectively ruin Matt and Trey’s career) causing a shit storm in the tabloid media and many people to this day think this was a legit, recent announcement.

South Park official Twitter normally never makes statements, but shortly after Elder’s 2nd Tweet (where he was trying to back up and continue this conversation) someone sent him this response:

My theory is that this response was posted by Matt, Trey or Eric Stough. A social media person would have strict guidelines to work with, and they wouldn’t to go out of their way to comment on other people’s Tweets on other people’s Twitter feeds on behalf of Matt and Trey. That’s not their job and they probably wouldn’t have time or interest to do that anyway. The fact that this is a direct response to Elder to me indicates that it was Matt or Trey or someone super close to them (who would also have the Twitter credentials handy) who got infuriated by this but then soon after changed their mind and deleted the Tweet.

Okay, so this is the video that anon was talking about, the clip in question is at about 23:21.

I do believe this is legit!! The video compiler's claim of finding it on the SP website in 2008ish makes sense to me as they did used to host odd clips and flash games among other things that you could not find anywhere else. It doesn't make sense for something like this to be "AI generated" and that is *definitely* Trey's voice acting for the male caller. The quality of the clip also matches that claim for me.

Here's a memory thing for me that may or may not be accurate, but I'm pretty sure that Trey (possibly Matt was also involved?) would do some radio skits that were either south park itself or just along that line of humor, my mom claims to have remembered hearing it on stations before (specifically she recalls the "o holy night" with the cattle prod being something that she also heard on the radio, not just in the episode). I wonder if there was something of that nature done on an actual broadcast as a sort of skit or prank, which the studio then animated and put on their website????? I could be completely wrong but that feels like something that would happen.

Either way, I don't think the clip is faked, just very obscure, and I would love to know the context for it.

I don't know where it originates, but I'm pretty sure it's legit and that it's supposed to be Larry Elder, who they used to work and be friendly with.

Well there we go, wonder if it was ever shown/broadcast somewhere else other than on the website

I genuinely thought I've seen every South Park short ever made until I recently saw a compilation of them that features one I've never heard of before. It didn't feature any of the main or supporting characters but it still had the animation style and Trey did one of the voices (I'm 90% sure it wasn't AI as it had emotion). It featured a radio host, well... "pleasuring himself" to things people say to him and I have no idea why it was made. Ever heard of a short like this?

Anon any way for you to drop the link in my submit box? It's not ringing any bells but I could probably either verify it myself or with the other sphs members if you show it to me. It might be legit and just a lesser known one because there's a lot of stuff that was made for commercials and promo that has gotten lost (my personal most wanted is the awards show bumper where Kenny's middle initial is revealed as "J" but it appears to have become lost media)
