▌█ ∵   ❤️   ∵ █ ▌Head tilted the slightest as the sat in the kitchen of her house. How they managed to find one another still puzzled her but she wasn’t about to question it. Jacket long since had been shrugged off no longer hiding the 002 on her wrist before fingers drummed on the table.  ❝What do you remember? I can’t think about it because then it affects everything and everyone around me. They get angry, violent sometimes.❞   A look to her shoes remembering how she had accidentally caused a fist fight in a store when she was staying in rhode island. She moved that afternoon, a new city, a new look, a new name.   ❝And your sister, what about her?❞

▌█ ∵   ❤️   ∵ █ ▌As door was opened concern did not leave features before carefully raising her hand to the other woman casting the smallest smile. Although it was laced with a slight sadness she pushed onward with the feeling of trying to be confident in why she had taken the time to show up at the Wheelers.  ❝You must be Karen. My name is Lorelei and I am one of the counselors at the middle and high school.❞   A pause small pause before glancing to the side. She always hated this part of the job, confronting families of children who needed help beyond what her and her powers could offer.   ❝I am highly concerned about Mike and I wanted to come and talk to you about it if that was alright. I know this is abnormal but he is one of the few students I have had a really hard time helping.❞

▌█ ∵   ❤️   ∵ █ ▌Bright smile fell to features as her gaze finally set on the girl she had been looking for. So much time before in the shadows working behind the scenes without anyone really knowing, looking out for her. Now finally in a rare moment joy seeped into her body so much so she was close to tears. Seeing her okay and alive meant a lot to her. While she knew that Eleven, or whatever she decided to go by now was alive her being well wasn’t as clearly understood. She could feel so much emotion radiating off of her whenever she checked the void she was never sure. But now, now she was.  ❝I have been waiting a long time to finally meet you.❞   A pause before her sleeve had rolled up holding it out for her to see. In all the time Eleven had been away she had been busy pulling the weight of her friends loss off their shoulders the slightest bit. Helping them all deal with what had happened but now, it seemed like hard work had finally paid off.   ❝You can call me Lorelei, and I am so proud of you for everything you’ve done for your friends. It takes so much courage and bravery to do that.❞

▌█ ∵   ❤️   ∵ █ ▌Laughter as the girl looked at her with confusion before her own head shook. She often forgot what it was like to come from where she had. Blocked out since the long time she had been living in peace.  ❝It’s a pineapple, you can eat them but you have to cut them so the prickles don’t get you.❞   Shopping cart filled already with things for pasta tonight there was a pause before grabbing one.   ❝How about we get one and I make pineapple upside down cake? Mrs. Wheeler, a friend of mine gave me her recipe and I have really wanted to try it.❞

▌█ ∵   ❤️   ∵ █ ▌A pause, coffee cup lifted to lips with warm smile. Pondering question lingering in her mind as she had gotten to know him better before pausing. Moment to contemplate bringing it up before deciding it was a good idea.  ❝If you wanted, you could stay with me from now on. Until you are settled in a bit more then we can get you some place❞

▌█ ∵   ❤️   ∵ █ ▌Smile as she looked to the younger girl, a hand raising to tuck back her own hair before shaking her head.  ❝You don’t have to hide you know. It’s just a camera it takes a picture.❞   Turning it around and flashing a smile a click was heard from the Polaroid before the film was produced. Carefully plucked from camera as she began to shake it. Setting the camera on the nearby table before shaking the image and walking over as it began to appear.   ❝See, then you put it in a scrap book and you can save it to remember what happened.❞

▌█ ∵   ❤️   ∵ █ ▌Careful hand reaching for sleeve of sweater before carefully pulling back the thick fabric. Printed on wist as those before her and those after her was the simple display of numbers. 002.  ❝We’re family. I found you because you feel so much pain.❞   Soft smile curled up on her lips before letting sleeve fall down. No longer did her number define her, she was her own person and whatever was going on with whatever number this was she was going to help. She had to help. Hands now moving to bag before carefully pulling out ziploc of cut coloured peppers.   ❝Are you hungry?❞

▌█ ∵   ❤️   ∵ █ ▌Hands on girls shoulders as sudden feeling of melancholy and grief ran through her body. Moment of deep breath, doing what she had been trained to do bottle up the feelings that weren’t important.  ❝ What happened to Barb was not your fault sweetheart. If anything, I should be the one feeling guilty, I felt something off when I was meditating the night everything happened.❞   Right hand raising and placing it on her cheek with a soft smile. Reassurance, she was much too young to be feeling this way. She deserved to feel bright, upbeat and explore what the world had to offer not trapped in feeling guilt over something no one could have stopped but someone like her   ❝I know it is hard. And if you need any help let me know❞

▌█ ∵   ❤️   ∵ █ ▌Soft smile on lips before hair was pushed back not bothering to sit in the chair presented. It had been some time since she had felt her sister, while not technically meeting she had been watching out for her in the shadows while doing her best to help the Byers. With everything in check and after feeling a presence from the upside down suddenly it was like silence. Admittedly this was a large favour to ask a stranger who she only knew from the distance but she had to try.  ❝ You should give yourself more credit. Dealing with rotting pumpkins and conspiracies seem to hold a large weight on anyone's shoulders.❞   After a moment soft smile fell from her lips fingers brushing back light ginger locks. Too much weight often bared by her trying to fix this town and for once she was bearing her own, but it frankly felt like it was breaking her   ❝ I know this is a lot to ask but I do have a request, at least for help. You are the only other person here I think that can help me. Although, if you do say no I understand you seem busy enough and after last year with Will, I would understand.❞
