Hi, it's been a while (if anyone remembers me at this point.) I am most likely going to archive this blog and revive touya on a new blog (which i have not decided on yet or made) so if anyone feels like following me there when I do make it, i'll post the url here.
It's gotten quite late, hasn't it? The sun had long since fallen, and Touya has not seen a hair of Zekrom since giving him his own gift. That was hours ago though... surely Zekrom had not forgotten? But no sooner would he think this that there is the tremble of ground as something large lands down behind him. Before he can look, the dark black claws close around Touya's midsection, strong enough to have a firm hold, yet careful enough that they do not damage the clothes he wears. [1/3]
Easily, the claws can be recognized from the twice split guards that extend from the top of the hand: it is Zekrom! A beat of its wings brings the two off the ground, and several more take them higher, further away from the bright lights of civilization, where the stars will not be overtaken. Higher still they go, enough to dwarf even the highest building in Unova, and only then does Zekrom stop. The sky is clear tonight– Zekrom has made sure. The days leading up to Christmas have been [2/3]
heavy with rain, spurred on by the lightning and thunder called by Zekrom for this moment. With nary a cloud in sight, so high up in the dark of night, it almost seems as though the two are in space, with the stars and celestial bodies seemingly in reach. But it dares not take them higher, where breathing is difficult. Here is just fine, and Zekrom’s wings slow the ascent into a standstill. It all happened faster than Touya could register it– In one fell swoop he was picked up with utmost care and whisked high into the sky. Clouds dispersed in their wake but Touya felt no fear despite the view of the ground shrinking. Flying with Zekrom had become almost close to second nature to the Champion– as if his wings were somehow Touya’s own too.
His attention quickly shifts to the view after the ascent halts..Seeing the stars so bright and clear sent a feeling straight into his chest, brown eyes seeming to reflect the very far-away lights themselves as they gloss over with yet un-shed tears.
It was almost overwhelming. The sights, the feeling, the realization of just the kind of planning this must have taken his bonded companion… the young Champion finds himself at a loss for words, and even the cold air that ruffles his hair doesn’t bother him– Instead, it invigorates him– a large grin spreading across his face as warm tears finally overflow. He figures this here was the closest he’d ever get to experiencing absolute happiness.
“Ha…Haha, Y’know…I was starting to think you wouldn’t show… You had me worried..” There’s weak, but genuine laughter in his words despite the tears, and the young boy makes an effort with his sleeve to wipe the liquid from his cheeks with a sniffle.
“Zekrom… Thank you. Really.This.. This is the best gift I could’ve gotten.” Eyes slide shut as his smile softens, and he does his best to gently embrace the familiar arm around him.
“…I’m glad I got to see this with you…I wouldn’t have imagined it being with anyone else. Happy Holidays.”
He feels so snug with his galaxy themed gifts and serperior plush. He's going to sleep well tonight!
3 hours into my ultra sun playthrough and my team consists of litten and slowpoke
There is a box left for Touya with a Serperior plush inside and some pokebeans. Its addressed from Elio to Touya.
He only wishes he had the chance to catch up to Elio before he left, so he could properly thank him for the gift and give one of his own. Touya knows the Holiday itself was a sore spot for the boy, so the fact that he went out of his way for this truly meant a lot.
Well, if there was one thing Touya never gave up on, it was hunting people down. He'd make sure the Alolan Champion got his thanks.
"Merry Christmas starbuddy~!" A sing song declaration from Champion as she skips up to him with a medium sized box. Within it, he'd find a pair of galaxy patterned high top sneakers. If it's for her starbuddy, it's nothing but the space-y best! "I thought they'd be perfect for you!"
"These are awesome.. I'm definitely gonna wear them to my next dance practice!" There's a chuckle as he smiles happily. "I'd only expect the best from my starbuddy, haha." And then the box is set down gently, the young Champion leaning forward to press a small kiss to her cheek.
"Really Selene, thanks. And Merry Christmas."
