Recently I’ve been doing a lot of studying. Challenging myself to make pretty (and legible) notes has been surprisingly fun!
It’s nice to have something I can tell I’m slowly getting better at because of my own efforts, and even see my notebooks filling up.

SO SO SO this one, despite the name, is unrelated to Leon Gets Dunked On, the original. HOWEVER. it shares a lot of similarities ie leon gets dunked on by a 17 year old and his god-slaying rodent.
the ‘horrible idea’ is leon being like yeah i’ll battle u :] to ash, as this is set at the point in canon after the World Coronation Series when Ash and Leon have a fight. I was watching that and couldn’t help but think Ash should have if not won, then done better (but this is the beginning of a new series so of course he lost).
My friend @/corvidaearts summed it up pretty well.
(i know, they fight in the stadium, but shh)
I’ve only just started writing it so I don’t have much to show but I’m super excited to finish and post it!

Here it is! The instructions to make a pieced and quilted plague doctor mask!
Just as a heads up, this pattern is not really recommended for beginners. There is not a whole lot of explanation of the basic techniques, and it requires a fair bit of precision, two types of fusible interfacing, and an assumption that you can keep a consistent seam allowance and do some hand sewing and know when to sew things right sides together and such.
I am not promising anything, different methods will yield different results, I have never made a pattern exactly as it was written and neither should you. If you want something the same as the next person, go to the shops.
Actually, nevermind, this is a quarantine craft, stay home.
I have made this pattern! It was my first time quilting, and I think it turned out pretty well for that!
I’m not satisfied with the eyeholes, so I’ll probably redo those (again), but overall I’m very proud! I still need to figure out lenses, but that’s it!

I got some kuretake gansai tambi ‘starry colors’ gold watercolors and wanted to test them, so I drew a quick fancy hornet!
