Because English is a very influential language in today’s society, many languages borrow English words. In French there are a lot of borrowed words but there are some used more informally and those are the ones I chose to display in the post. Notice I said these are informal contexts and should be used that way.
- Cool - C’est très cool, ça. - That’s very cool.
- Fan - Je suis fan. - I’m a fan of that.
- Fun - Bah, écoute, ce serait fun. - Listen, that would be fun.
- Show (m.) - j’ai adoré beaucoup ton show.
- Star (f.) - Si tu faisais ça pour moi, tu serais une star. - If you do that
- Top - Le match de foot était top. - The soccer (American English)/football (UK English) match was cool.
