being a fan of a friend's ocs is actually so humiliating....... like yes my favourite character rn is tragically doomed and a pillar of humanity who i think is relevant to the current world. you can find information about them on discord dot com and sometimes in late-night conversations with this guy i know. what the fuck
this is like my favorite performance of his hands matched his tongue that is also guaranteed to make me cry whenever i listen to it
this post brought to you by the "once again failed to avoid crying during his hands matched his tongue" gang
Episode 48 stressed me out man
What's everyone's favourite flowers that aren't like. The normal ones. Like everyone's a fan of roses and sunflowers what's a more niche one. One you don't get in gift sets. Mine's sweet peas
You know what I freak out over when it comes to motifs in music the most? Like, don't get me wrong, I adore when tiny thing from the beginning or things that have extremely well-defined meanings coming back at the finale, but what I really love is when you get a motif that pops up as foreshadowing. Like, on first listen it's like what the fuck is this outro riff in King of Swords (Reversed) , it's so out of place and the feel is so odd, it's not an ominous feeling but it seems to lead to a direction that the rest of Act 4 doesn't go in, even fading into the background before we're reeled back in with If All Goes Well?
And then Act 5 comes out and you get to The Most Cursed of Hands and it starts with that exact riff and you're hit in the face with a ton of bricks realizing that the weird ending riff from that track on the previous album was actually foreshadowing the story being told during the Priest's sermon in this Act 5 track! The manic energy and thrill of winning his campaign for mayor and explicitly abandoning his old identity and embracing his life pretending to be his dead twin brother (here's those spoils of war that you asked for!) despite his reliance on the P/P, segueing seamlessly into the story that same man is now delivering to Hunter and the congregation, which encapsulates the situation Hunter's now found himself in directly caused by the actions in that previous song and his realization that he has to figure out what he can do about it instead of sitting idly by (it can't remain unknown). Chef's fucking kiss, it gets me every time thank you Casey
Notes on In Stars and Time Japanese Translation, from someone totally unqualified
Hi, I've been learning Japanese for like, 1.5 years and know a little bit but have mostly been muddling through the game with a dictionary to figure stuff out. Here's some fun stuff I've noticed in the dialogue in Dormont and a little of the dialogue in the House. (As you might have guessed, I will probably get some stuff wrong, so full disclaimer here)
