i refuse to let the issue occupy my mind ever since it got posted somewhere, and um we still havent any official update from plds regarding the issue, so i dont really hv a say tbh. but!!! as far as ik mingyu isnt the one in particular who did that but he was there????? he was only mentioned briefly by the victim. i saw someone saying boys around 14-15 yrs old joke things like that a lot so he might have join them. and mingyu too is known as a social butterfly and interact with ppl a lot sooo idk how to conclude. hm bullying is huge issue im pretty sure plds is aware about it now, and i respect the victim who tried to open up about her problem publicly. honestly its a bit messed up, intl carats mostly bcs of the mistranslation ;–: lets just pray for the best

i know what you mean! i went deeper into twt (as much as my heart hurt reading everything) & realised there were a couple of tweets from people fluent in both korean & english that there is a mistranslation (as what you said). i read one that made me question everything & it said sth among the lines of:

when the op said that mingyu was with the bullies, they meant with like physically with. bc mingyu was friends with everybody & he happened to be friends with the people who did horrible things as well, though he did not actually take part in the bullying. they did not mean with as in he joined in on the bullying.

ok but thr’s so many versions of the translations i have no idea whats gg on anymore

(Im the same anon hewo :>) Another thing is, this all happened when he was a minor ? So maybe something as intense as leaving the group is probably out of question here. Really hoping people take time for themselves, feel the sun and touch some grass after this situation. It really wont help anyone to get worked up over this and if the sexual connotations of the situation are triggering to anyone, I sincerely hope they have someone to discuss this with!!!

yes!! omg i was going to speak about this too but it slipped my mind.

it happened when he was a young teen. i will not defend his actions or say things like “he was immature back then” bc regardless of age, these things should never be joked about. along the same lines, as cliché as it may sound, we all make mistakes. AGAIN, i am not saying we should forgive him should the allegations come out to be true. we are not in the place to do so. i believe he should be held accountable if they are true, but i do also believe that people grow and regret their past actions. whoever is reading this i am 100% sure you’ve done something in the past that you regret and have learnt from. bc i know i have, but i’ve lost contact with the person i want to apologise to.

but then again, we don’t know his side yet. we don’t know if the rumours are true. if they are, we don’t know if he knows his wrong (i.e. like what i mentioned: realised the severity of the matter, and knows he should never do that again.)

basically we know nothing about him/his side of the story. everyone’s putting it negatively especially on twitter - as in “we don’t know anything about mingyu so we should assume the worst”. but why so?

i hope no one misunderstands my points. to reiterate, i do not defend mingyu on this matter, nor will i defend the assumed victim.

in addition to the message I sent earlier, about the tweets not getting justice, if this is all true then I hope mingyu (and other kids involved) sincerely apologise to the person who got affected, their mental health should not be swept into the rug because of some kpop boy being famous, but then again, some people are blowing it out of proportion without knowing all facts.

i feel the EXACT same, you put my thoughts into words.

Honestly I've been seeing some really wrong translations going around and it doesnt really affect us ?? We are just fans ? So let's just wait for mingyu to clarify what exactly OP meant by the 'accusations',,,we shouldnt even be taking sides because sending a tweet isnt getting anyone justice, this should be handled in court tbh. I hope you're doing well!!! Please take time off social media if it gets too much for you, watch cats videos, love u !!! 😼💜

exactly! i don’t think anyone should be taking sides at all yet, and i was quite shocked (?) to see some carats say things like “guilty until proven innocent” or telling gyu to leave the group which wld be for the “greater good of the rest of svt”. cuz i rly dont think it wld be any good at all.

however i am not saying to not believe the victim either, because if she really went through that i don’t think she should be invalidated. with that said i strongly feel that we should stay neutral until gyu says something or there is solid proof. it is extremely stupid to force an outcome from gyu (such as leaving the group) when we’re only barely seeing half the picture rn.

Jeonghan went into a daze. He wanted to get the physician, Ivy, to repeat what she had just said, but as much as hoped that he had heard her wrong, he knew well enough that it had really happened.

The King and Queen were confused, and rightfully so. To them, it seemed that Jeonghan had loved you with his whole heart, so that rule wouldn’t have made sense. They would’ve probed further, but the look on their son’s face made them keep it for later.

The King turned back to Ivy, speaking in a firm but not unkind tone. “Prescribe Y/N whatever medicines are necessary. Give her treatment as you would to royalty.”

Ivy had a worrisome frown on her face and seemed like she was going to say something, but the slightest shake of the Queen’s head made her realize their intentions. She simply acknowledges the orders as the Queen thanked her, before bowing and leaving the room.

The Queen then turned to Jeonghan, placing a comforting hand on his forearm. "She’ll be fine, dear.”

Jeonghan felt a rush of irritability but quickly subdued those feelings, knowing his mother was just trying to console him. Shaking his head, he tried to put whatever was left of his rationality into words.
