in saying tho, if an idol does speak up it is NOT an excuse for yall to uphold them and use it as a way to paint them as being woke or good. it is not something you can then use in an argument as to why your idols are the best.

your idol speaking up against the injustice does not make them "woke" or "good" or above the rest of us. it makes them human.

i know there’s a lot going on but ICE are now one step closer to literally creating gas chambers. they are spraying a chemical called HDQ neutral roughly 100 times a day, every 15 minutes at the adelanto detention center (one of the biggest in the country). people are getting rashes, headaches, their insides are bleeding, etc. the guards are wearing gloves and masks but the detainees have NOTHING. and here’s a quick reminder - america inspired the nazis to create gas chambers when they gassed latino people during the 1917 bath riots.

During a popular Australian morning news programme called Sunrise, they were reporting on this protest outside the White House. On live TV Australia watched US police start beating the cameraman while the reporter screamed “We’re media!” 

Linked here is an account of that day from a priest who was supporting BLM medic teams with other members of her clergy at the church until they were teargassed and forced to flee so Trump could have his picture taken. Recommend sending that one to Christians if you know any.

you know what scares me? what will you do once george floyd's name fades out of the news cycle? will you go back to your "normal" life or whatever normalcy you've created during this pandemic and forget? will you stop listening, learning, speaking up? will you forget about this and disappear only to come back again until another black person succumbs to state sponsored violence? you probably will. so please don't stop learning. please don't stop listening to and amplifying the voices of black people. please don't stop speaking up. dig deep and find the courage to keep this up. insist that you and everyone you know fight for a future where black people can live without fearing for their lives. a future where white supremacy is fundamentally annihilated.

If you're black and live in Chicago don't go by Pilsen or Little Village, they're pulling people out of their cars, throwing poles through their windshields and jumping them.

If you need a source, I'll ask my mom to send me the videos she's found of this happening to people and a warning someone from Pilsen posted telling black people they are not wanted there. So far the news has done nothing to report on this, and it's all people sharing their experiences.

This goes for all protestors in any city in any state. if you have to share a picture completely block out the entire person, do not blur the image as there is software that can undo blurring.
