I think simple and plain items complete streetwear fits (sweatshirt, zip-up, pants, hoodies...), and try not to exceed 3 colors in your outfit? If you want to play safe first how about trying out unisex set? See if @aake__ /@blackup_kr /@fashiru.s /@threecut can inspire you!
If you just started to build your wardrobe or still figuring out own styles, maybe target 1-2 shops/brands with your most ideal style and purchase few pcs for mix and match, also deciding the color tone (B&W/earth tone are always safer and applicable for most styles:D). Explore more styles online and im sure you will know what you want most! [I actually do not plan much when i purchase items, basically have items in all colors in my wardrobe so i can mix and match depends on my moood, but Fudge magazine & Clurel are always my 1st inspiration when deciding what should I wear today]
