Ok I have to take a moment to talk about this fic that I stumbled across completely at random it would seem. But this piece? It’s 14k long and I’ve read it 3 times in the last 4 days.
I love this fic. I love the natural flow of the dialogue. I love how, even though the author doesn’t spend a ton of time on backstory to tell us they grew up together and have always been close, it wasn’t necessary to spend a ton of words on that because the dialogue shows it. Their interaction shows it. They are nervous because they are taking a risk, taking a new step, feeling deep emotions, but never because of WHO is involved. Because they have a very obvious connection.
I love the way Cheol is characterized. It seems very true to the real Cheol to me and is very believable and multi dimensional even in a one shot fic. I love LOVE that he sets boundaries for himself. Love that he expresses those boundaries with tenderness but finality.
I love the way they figure out this is real, and are careful with each other physically and emotionally but it’s still hot as hell. There’s no smut for smut sake here. It doesn’t feel out of place that they end up there. It feels like a natural flow of a very long relationship that just entered a new chapter. It’s sexy but it’s loving and it’s just everything I love about a good fic.
