It says smth abt me that my first jdrama was TRICK and the first one I watched when I returned again to jdramas was SPEC 😂 That said, Dir. Tsutsumi has obvious flaws in his directing and writing that I am very aware of, as much as I enjoyed the two series he produced. He tends to be very detailed, but at some point he always surpasses his threshold of control and stuff starts unravelling and he loses rein.

Kamiki Ryunosuke has won the Best Actor Award at the 66th Blue Ribbon Awards for his realistic acting in Godzilla Minus One/Godzilla -1.0 and humorous acting in Daimyo Tousan. He had previously said he lost hope of ever winning an award* and expressed great joy at hearing the news of his win.
*Kamiki has been snubbed endlessly for years by various awards because his agency doesn't promote him that much + his agency doesn't work as hard in fighting for their talents in the realm of awards compared to other agencies. This is despite him consistently ranking high in popularity nationwide, having a wide audience base and being one of the few who have both a large number of solid fanbase and high public favour. Fans have been perplexed by this odd situation for years. He was perplexed himself.
