Posts like this are so pointlessly dismissive. At 13 I was recovering from multiple traumas, had been through rehab, and was finally starting to get over my first love and accept my sexuality.

Kids around age 13 experience emotions more intensely than fully-developed adults as well. When older people condescend to kids about how “teens are just being overdramatic,” they’re failing to recognize that situations geniunely affect a child’s neurochemistry more strongly than it does theirs.
