A FEARLESS LAD WHO'S NOT AFRAID TO FIGHT Nathan Nibs // 22 // A lost boy with no fear // Major in Music
Avatar

Location: Corona Castle Ballroom

Confusion was not part of the musician's primary characteristics, scowling and narrowing his eyes as if that would offer an answer to calm that knot that threatened to crush the lungs. Oh rather, to make the air return to them. "Do I know you? You have a face that certainly doesn't fit with the others." Of course there were better ways to star a conversation, but Nathan been Nathan, that was an option that flew out of the window a s soon he opened the mouth to speak. Kinda weird, but the feeling of having coincided with that man did not stop pestering and creating doubts. What a mess, if he wasn't someone from the present then there was an option that was better to avoid. Past. Those years were like looking at an old scar, a horrible event that you can cover up but not erase. Not having too many good things except one. The hand tightened around the glass, blinking as if a ghost appeared in the room. "Don't tell me ... You're that kid that always come to the orphanage on Christmas with that kind woman?" He probably won't recognize him, several years had passed and Nathan didn't look like that lonely kid he was. "I was one of those boys who used to live there, just wanted to say thank you for that, but never had the chance." @theswordoftruth

Finishing the burning liquid in her glass she sat it down on the counter with a content smile upon her face. Only growing more with the words of encouragement from Nibs himself. “It’s always the quite ones you need to watch out for. I told you not to challenge me, I would hate to go making you look like the loser tonight because I drank you under the table. Scrunching her nose she leaned up and pressed an innocent kiss to his cheek. “I don’t like losing and being around you boys had made me a very competitive person! You should know this by now.” Looking at his face she reached up and squished his cheeks. “Stop, that’s not fair to pull that look on me! I’ll pout back and then you’ll just lose at that too.” Or at least Fawn was putting all her money on that with that little threat of hers. Though when he mentioned his heart broken she felt it as more then just a teasing joke. Fawn never really knew where Nibs stood on his feelings, but she knew what she kept locked deep down for a few years for the boy in front of her. “You know I could never break your heart.” Smiling softly she nodded. “I sure am! Best company around if you ask me. And you? Excited to keep me around too?”
image
Oh now that was becoming a competitive challenge, raising an eyebrown to complain that precisely Fawn could not define himself as a quiet one who could beat Nathan. This game was too familiar, rules and tricks were easy to bend for the Lost Boy, like a dance where it was important went to go forward or turn with a professional smile. "Cute that you think that you could win, the night's still young." Words that were choked in the throat with a simple gesture, that innocent kiss that was like an electric current that shook the entire body of the musician, who put the chuleria aside to look at her with a surprised face while the hand brushed the area where the lips Fawn had been a few moments before. It was official, He won't wash that area anymore. Not wanting to spoil the moment or cause a scene, better keeping that wave emotions under control, the young man put a hand to his heart as his tongue was stuck out in a mocking gesture at what they were making her competitive about. Maybe He and the guys were rubbing off to her. "Awww what a compliment! So beautiful to know that I can impact someone. Quite an improvement, my dear Fawn. I'm impressed but that won't make me go easy on you." Being honest and twisting words at the same time was not an easy skill to acquire, like putting on a poker face and planning how events might unfold. But never, ever, have someone dare to squish the cheeks and live to tell. Kidding, only that woman has that privilege. "Rules are quite ambiguous regarding that, any trick is welcome as long there is not damage or manipulation, I dare you to do it." Winking as provocation, no movement was made to separate that contact that now united both of them. So hard to keep smiling but feeling that this was all, a stupid game to end the year between two friends that probably would end with a hangover. A byword said that it was better to enjoy the little opportunities that drink offered, a wise man no doubt. Ah, funny, probably the heart wasn't broken but it really hurt. "Of course I want to keep my favorite friend around! What would I do without you?" Hypothetically, if the decision were available then everything would be easier and Nibs would not have to settle for staying in the friendzone. Amused smile as his fingers gently patted her cheek, making invisible traces with not really objective while her eyes lit up due to the factor of having drunk alcohol and therefore not possessing so much self-control. "I would be lost without you, also, ready for round who knows which, M'Lady?"

“They really missed out on the opportunity to get a live band,” Roxanne sighs heavily as the dj plays a new song, staring out at the dance floor wistfully. “Or at least Normally she would already be out on the dance floor but she hangs back at a table with Nibs instead, waiting for a song that she actually likes to come on. At this point she’s almost positive she could hook up some of her Spotify playlists and it would come out better than whatever this guy’s playing. “Think we could bribe him into letting us take over for a bit?” she jokes, taking a sip of her drink. While not normally much of a drinker, she’s hoping that the dj’s choices will start sounding a lot better after a few glasses of champagne. // @nathan-nibs

The lost boy just rolled the eyes and raised his hand in an overly comical expression, as if someone finally understood the same as him, basically leaning his body forward as if to share an overly important secret that no one else could hear. "Couldn't agree more! Like, dude, it's a masquerade to say goodbye to this mess of a year, can't you get something better to animate the party? We should just get on the stage and show this people what real entertaiment is! " That would be fun, and a fun anecdote to share with others, although he could not be 100% sure that Roxane would agree to be part of that plan, maybe to dance yes. Hearing the idea about bribing the DJ, Nathan's mental gears began to work on some idea that he could ensure that it could happen. "Mmmm the drinks sound like great motivation but what if we offer money?" And with the 'we' the musician wanted/mean to say 'he'. C'mon, money moves the work and a guy could afford to lose some bills if that guarantees a good party. A friendly smile spread across his face as the hand squeezed Roxanne's shoulder gently, shaking his head as if it were totally normal. "Don't give me that look, it's the quick way to get rid of this sound that this person considers to be music. Kinda insulting to the musical world, but is reality.”

This kind of parties were kind of weird, not in a bad way but rather like an indefinable thing which meaning was complex, not seeing the point of dressing so formal but not caring enough about it. A party is a party, no matter if people want to use a chessy name to define it. Lips curled in a mocking grin, fingers tapping the almost-empty glass whose content was far from being a simple drink, leaving an alcoholic aroma that now burned in the musician's throat. Nathan only released a funny growl, as if the mind had already started that game of the mouse cat where each drink annulled the ability to understand. Better play a game where be afraid seems impossible, so far like a cloud in the sky. Being present but without a way to achieve it. "C'mon Fawn! You keep this rhythm, you're gonna win this self-proclaimed winner of been able to drink this much and stand up." Stupid gambling, bad decisions made, none willing to back down. Vicious circle. The surprise could not be more palpable, the musician arched an eyebrow at the woman's apparent determination and perseverance. Usually, the tables were opposite with her being the one who practically dragged him away from troubles and stick to not make huge mess. Not like it always works, but was weird yet funny be on the same page. An admirable smile, ignoring bland conversations or lights that seemed too bright. Hopefully, that moment wouldn't be forgotten the next day. "Okay okay, pretty lady! You win!" Dropping the full weight of the body against the seat, Nibs just put an expression similar to that one that was labeled as the 'puppy eyes', putting an arm around her shoulders. "Happy of winning this poor guy and breaking his heart? How cruel can you be?" Obviously it was a joke, spoiling the act of being unable to stop laughing. "Kidding, I could never be mad at you. What's the new plan here? Excited to spend another year with your favorite lost boy, miss Goodwinn?" @fawn-goodwinn

Who could guess that Nathan would be ready for this? This Lost boy isn’t exactly the defenition of 'an individual that is capacitated to stay in a formal mode'. But there's always a first chance for everything, kinda. As long as there is a chance to party all the night and have free drinks, everything should be fine even if this is too classical.

𝓒𝓪𝓵𝓮𝓫 rubbed his hands together, every so often bringing them up to his lips to blow a little into them, an attempt to keep himself warm as he walked towards making today a perfect day cafe. he glanced around as he walked, observing the people around him. when suddenly  his brown eyes caught the sight of a little village inside of a shops window, and he was quick to make his way over. for caleb, there weren’t many things that he didn’t find fascinating, he was such an easily intrigued guy when it came to curious things, and the world around him had so many curiosities for him to get lost in. little villages, especially christmas villages, were always a guilty pleasure of his. there was just something so incredibly cool to him to see a miniature village put together, especially if he could peek inside the building’s windows and see miniature furniture or a cute little scene unfolding. he was admiring the little toy shop when he suddenly felt as if someone was standing next to him; though he tensed up a bit, he spoke in a friendly tone, “isn’t this kinda neat? if you could build your own little village, do you have any idea what you’d turn it into? personally, mine would have to contain a lot of nature, but i also love the idea of a halloween type of town.

Taking free time was a treasure that for now was feeling more like a burden than a gift, the monotony of what Nathan's life had become now did not help at all to appease those kinds of thoughts but at least he was decent enough to keep that wrecked train away from the others. After all, It won't be fair to do that now. That animosity was faded of the mind when the eyes recognized that familiar figure standing in front of a window, an amused smile appearing on his lips. Better to put a smile and stick to the carefree role. "Sup Cal! What’s going on?" Fells like a big time since the las time both of them spoke, but that was how the lost boys were, preferring to let fate decide when it was time to meet again. A gentle nudge was given to the other band member's arm, a mocking expression on his face as his eyes dictated the message that the act had been purposeful, putting and arm to around the other’s shoulders to bring Caleb closer. This guy seems to be cold anyways. Perplexity outweighed mischief, blinking slowly as the brain pocessed what kind of response he could give for that ask. Really, this was getting interesting. "Dude, if I have the chance to own a little village, It'll be the best one of all. Probably I would have a bit of everything, as if it were a journey through all corners of the world." The explanation was not very elaborate, but the answer was adequate. The head turned to look at Caleb, with a cute twinkle in his eyes but trying not to be too soft. "Nature and a halloween town? Now that's a new concept, I love it by the way." Maybe both men didn't share the same kind of taste for decoration or hobbies, but being different was better than settling for the common, that was the perfect spark for a friendship. Looking around, the head pointed to a near place where they served Christmas products, especially a cafe of Nathan's favorites that contained all kinds of Christmas sweets. "So, Cubby, wanna go with me and grab something? Cold is comming and I will die for one of those sugar-laden wonders."

At the threats Tink just laughed, not at all buying any of them for a second. It isn’t until the snowball hits her leg and she almost falls out of the tree that she stops to glare down at him. “Hey fucker,” she calls out, wishing she had another snowball to toss his way. But getting one would require coming down from her spot and that wasn’t about to happen any time soon. “I can absolutely outlast you up here - just try me! I’ll sit here all night if I have to.” And she meant it - no way was Tink going to let herself lose or fall victim to any further attacks from Nibs or any of the other lost boys for that matter.
image
So typical to transform a kid's game into some kind of competitive war where any of them refused to give up. Nathan just laugh heartily at Tink's threats, sticking out the tongue in a mocking grin to show that there was no fear but excitement to see how everything will developed from that point. "Ohhh I'm such a bad person! How terrible I am." No remorse in the voice, that would be lying to Tink's face and he didn't feel like doing it. Why? Better to focus in all the fun to get out as the winner from this fight. He felt bad for a short time when he though that his friend would fall of the tree, but that sentiment was gone. His eyes sparkled with excitement, leaving the hiding spot to come closer as if that was all it took to continue that game. “You sure about that? Last time I checked I was the one with enough snow weaponry to beat an army and you.” The fingers pointed at her, in a parody of an official salute. "Are the one who's trapped in a tree like a defesenless kitten. So the luck seems to favor one of us." His eyes rolled at the promise to remain in that place. Gosh Tink could be so stubborn so that it wasn't a bluff, it was a peculiarity that both had in common for better or for worse. OK. A devilish grin appeared on the musician's face. "You know? If you're planning to not get down from there, then you leave me no other choice." Not second thoughts about the matter, arms and legs clung around the trunk of the tree found invisible points to ascend. He has been grateful to have had an adventurous childhood in the outdoors. "I'm gonna get up to you. Don't sue me if we fall down and end in the hospital."

Nathan never had troubles to make a little chit chat or even get himself involved in a conversation with an unknow person, preferring to have the largest possible list of contacts. Who cares if in the end they could be great friends or distrustful foes? At least they're something, someone who plays a little role to make life interesting. There was no apprehension or distrust when that individual decided to stop next to him, another one who did not seem to feel intimidated or carrying an impassive pose that closed the possibility of engaging in conversation. An eyebrow was raised as a symbol of curiosity, putting aside any kind of matter to focus on the topic that this man wanted to share. "Who? You mean Hook or someone else?" Eyes focused on studying any individual in the vicinity, not caring if that makes him look rude. "Dude, give me a hint for this."

Christmas shopping could be stressful but at the same time they had something exciting, that or it was the twisted sense of humor of the musician, who enjoyed seeing how some people made a scene for something as trivial as not finding an item of clothing. Hands already carrying different bags from a large number of stores, meaning that a lot of people were going to have a Christmas present on their side. "Huh?" Returning his attention to his friend, Nathan nudged her gently with a hint of mischief. "Really? Here I was thinking that I was the first one on your list and now is when you tell that you didn't have anything for me? So sad." Cheeky phrase, since it was understandable not to have all the gifts yet but that was an opportunity to joke so as not to be wasted. A wink was all the signal to say that nothing was serious, putting on a friendly smile. "As long as it's not sweet coal or socks, pretty sure that the guys or Tink will give me that, She still mad that I give her white socks as a present." Not regrets for that, her reaction to that was priceless and made the risk worthy. Thinking again about the topic, he realized that he was in the same boat as her. Not present for Roxanne yet, time to fix that. "Seriously, I don't want something too flashy or expensive. A rechargeable laser tag set or even a root beer science kit for beginners would be fine, but not pressure. What about you? I have a few choices in mind for you but I want to hear an oppinions first. " Not to mention that Nathan feels that Rox deserves something cool to end this year, she's been such a good addition for his group of friends and they really get along. "Let’s skip that part when it’s obvious that I’m an hypocrite person. Just ask and your wish will become real, except if you wish to have a crocodile as a pet. Cool animals but not the genuines to keep around." @rcxannemartin

It was well said that the actions of a person could not be judged with the naked eye, in Nathan's case, this was a true fact given the tendency to act without any plan in mind and with only the idea of getting carried away in any situation to have fun. Including an ex even without warning. Confident smile but avoiding gaze for long, hands clenched around the grips of the bag in which all the loot reserved for them jingled slightly. "And a happy new year!" The humming was exaggerated, though the excitement that any previous concerns had not been thrown overboard. A defiant brow rose effortlessly, tongue clicking at such a suggestion about gifts. "Ouch, that hurts Daph! You know that I'm more original than that." Generic gifts wasn't an option, that only shows that a person was too 'lazy' to search for something that a friend might appreciated more than a sweater or a gift card. Nope, not an option. Her eyes widened, for once not knowing what to say as she grabbed his hand to lead him into the townhouse while her body welcomed the arrival of heat. It certainly hadn't been smart to go out alone in a thin jacket and jeans but it's not like Nathan thinks things through before he does. "Woah, you guys really like Christmas. I don't know why but I thought you guys would have little monsters with Christmas outfits hanging from a Christmas tree." Excess decoration almost damaged the view, so many colors and different shapes everywhere. Kinda cute, he and Ty just had a little tree squeezed against a corner of the shared room, although it's not like there was room for much. The bag was carefully placed on the ground, although he took out a bottle from among all those stored and a medium-size package wrapped in crumpled purple paper. "I know that we didn't talk about gifts but I wanted to see a nice fella for once." Not waiting for an awnser, the gift was extended to Daphne with a cheery smile. "Early Christmas gift?" @meddlingdaphne

Smile soon became noticeable on the face of the musician, so common that any of the Lost Boys would knock each other's doors at random times without caring if it was late or not. Childish? Maybe yes or no, but that habit hadn't changed in a long time and Nathan would rather lose a hand than leave that part behind. "Awww, so nice feeling appreciated for once. Is that your christmas present for me?" Joking, an eyebrow rose as the body leaned its full weight against the doorframe, in no particular rush to get back to the bedroom where Tyler had still lain from the night before. The smile disappeared for a moment, replaced by a shrug of the shoulders and a roll of the eyes in a false grimace of feeling hurt. "So rude! What did you expect from me, a phone call? That's so impersonal and vague, my presence is much more pleasant." Of course Sawyer's complaints were justified, but agreeing meant giving in, and Nibs wasn't about to step back even for such a stupid reason. "Now that you're awake, wanna go to grab something for breakfast?" @slightlysawyer

“I tried to tell you,” Wendy said exasperated when Nathan had completely ignored her warnings and went ahead with order the over-the-top Christmas specialty drink. It was always way too big and full of enough sugar to last you a week. Maybe more. She smiled up at the server when he brought them their drinks, content with her own cup of tea with the perfect amount of milk and honey mixed in. Nothing too crazy for her when the main goal was warming up. She knew Nathan had wanted to stay out in the cold but Wendy had started to lose some feeling in her fingertips and she wasn’t about to risk frost bite for some snow-fill fun but she knew he was trying to get back at her for it - making this drink into some kind of challenge. “I have faith in you, I’m sure you can do it but I’m not sure if you should. You might have a heart attack. But if you’re determined to do it, I’ll support you….but I don’t think you should.” Wendy added, she had to add it. // @nathan-nibs

Teaspoon lazily sank into the surface of the cream, taking care that none of the contents fell when it was brought into the musician's mouth, smiling with that familiar expression that indicated that the situation was like a mixture of fun twisted from getting into a stupid challenge that he he had created for himself. Lips adopting a challenging grin, resting her chin on her free hand and raising an eyebrow at Wendy's insistence not to do that. Oh boy, that just added more reasons to do it. "Awww It's really touching to see how much you cared about this reckless dude." Winking as if that were the most normal thing in the world, fingers making the symbol of a kind of X on the chest. "Promise that this thing isn't going to kill me. Cross my heart and hope to die or whatever that is say." It would be absurd that after everything that had happened, a heart attack became the reason for going beyond. Not like there was any worry about that matter, better life like one wants and be a daredevil that being someone who prefers to stay in the sidelines. In a mocking display of toast, Nathan gently tapped his cup against Wendy's, with that tendency to make everything more dramatic given the situation. "For us, Nathan the Lost Boy and Wendy the Lost Girl, Cheers!" Not waiting for any reply, the drink was brought to the lips, almost noticing the hot liquid on them before savoring it completely. The usual mania would have caused him to drink all the contents carelessly, but the mix of flavors varying between different flavors of vanilla and chocolate were reason enough to make an exception. Placing the cup on the table to dedicate a devilish smile to his friend, noticing the foam mustache formed. "Tada, Not death knocking on my door yet. Wanna try this little sin disguised as a sweet wonder, birdie?"

Childish games turning into really competitions and serious battles were a common thing in the Lost Boy's agenda. Always wanting to compete and jump headfirst into any challenge that the day offered, even more so if it involved those closest to him. And this was one of those tempting occasions that Nathan's pride couldn't resist, almost going into 'competitive-yet-easy going' mode just to dive deeper in the experience. Not focusing enough to notice that snowball that it unavoidably slammed into his back, feeling more like an invisible stab because it implied the worst. Tink had the first point. "Hey! You little ...!" Not time to keep talking, a second snowball slammed into the chest as Nibs whirled around, nearly causing the musician to stumble and stumble. Narrowly. Eyes shining with desire to return those two attacks and muscles eager to start moving, a quick glance revealed another more evident factor that had still been unnoticed. The trees. "You sly little woman. This time you have exceeded my expectations of finding a hiding place. I would dare to say that when the boys find out, the concept of refuge and strategy will have to be redefined." Not losing sight of her for a second, the musician grabbed his own weaponry of snowballs, irregular shapes of snow that had not been completely compacted, for the sole purpose of serving as projectiles. Defiant smile and challenging eyes. "You might have the first strike, but this is not over." That tree doesn't look too hard to climb, but that woul forced the man to momentarily drop the defense and give her more opportunities to attack. Not again. "This game isn't over, little lady, the beast is awake and is ready to get revenge." This time was Nathan's turn to attack, providing a clean throw that hit the woman's leg as He practically hides himseld behind a tree to think the next move. "Come out to play Tink! You can't stay up there eternally! Eventually, you'll have to get down and I'll ..." The voice sounded confident, confidence evident. "Be waiting for you." @missbxll

🎥 for our muses to watch a holiday movie together (roxanne)

Feet swaying from side to side as the head seemed to shake gently as if following the rhythm of the little song that sounded in the intro, a chessy one version of a well-known Christmas carol. The smile on his face and the energetic movement of the musician showed that he was really excited to see that movie again. "Awww aren't you glad we're going to see it again?" Movies weren't used to being an event that happened often in Nathan's life, being something of a kind of 'just in case plan' if there was ever time to spare to devote to that. A Santa’s hat was slipping over above his eyes and there were still some snacks and popcorn on the shared armrest that had not yet been eaten. The eyes almost turned pleading toward Roxanne, not caring if that makes him looks childish or immature. "I promise this time I won't sing the choruses or laugh at the most ridiculous scenes. I'll be like a ghost." The motion of zipping over the mouth was exaggerated, but it served to score a point. It had been a great plan to have met with his friend for that plan, her idea, and the truth was that it had been more fun than expected despite the fact that an usher had to have practically dragged them out of the room to start another session. The Lost Boy hadn't been long in running back to the box office to buy more tickets in addition to popcorn and soda, smiling briskly despite not asking if she was okay with seeing her again. "It is okay Rox? I'll practically dragged you here for a second session without asking." The index finger poked her left arm gently, more apologetic than friendly but at least it was sincere. The smile widened when he had a new idea in mind "I can make it up to you in some way! Ask for what you want, Christmas is already around the corner and Santa may bring a gift from me for you." @rcxannemartin

Being calm and polite wasn't Nathan's thing, rather he was completely opposite of being a 'role model' and that was intended to stay that way. The only moment in which the personality seemed to soften a bit was when being in the presence of that woman, mostly due to the guilt of knowing that stupid things had ruined what might have existed between them, the attention focused more on memorizing the different drawings of the woman. cup surface than in inquisitive eyes. So, at least it was a sign that they could at least stay together in the same place? "It's been a long time. Is the Mystery Gang okay?" Nathan questioned, not feeling proud with the small talk but at least that he was to start in at least having cordiality with Daphne. The hair was still damp from the snowflakes, although this in itself was not a problem as long as a cold was preventable even if it was caused by being an asshole. It was stupid to continue feeling regret, when it seemed that apparently both had moved with their affairs and following different paths. "C'mon, surely you all have interesting things but a break won't be bad for you, Daph, relax a bit and come back with the batteries charged. Overall, it's not like the world will end by taking a vacation." Nathan rolled his eyes a bit, ironic and hypocritical because the Lost Boys had been on 'Hiatus' for a long time and it was getting frustrating to pretend everything was okay. With force of will, his eyes focused on the person in front and he winked at her, a friendly gesture to hide unease at the uncertainty of the possibility of not acting again due to the small piece that was missing from the little finger. "Christmas is coming soon. What are you gonna do? Guys and I probably gonna end the year together, having tons of fun and drunk. There's no better plan than something like that." @meddlingdaphne

“Who bought me socks? They’re plain white no-brand socks.” (tink)

Avatar

The Lost Boy lifted a hand to heart in a mocking grimace of feeling hurt, not hiding amusement, or rather a malicious smile at that response. "Oh! How dare you, My dear Tink? A simple 'Thank you Nathan, you're so considerate and thoughtful. I love your gift' would have been enough. You should work harder to be grateful." Being dramatic was fun, although as a precaution a safe distance between the two was ensured, before twisting his head slightly. "Also, you said you wanted a simple gift." That was walking on thin ice while the situation was still going on while allowing himself to giggle at his friend's frustration, as if it were all a joke. It wasn’t the most successful gift but at least they could be practical and that caused a wink in response. "I think that before you try to strangle me with them, you should be warned that we have witnesses in the hall. Fate wants me to stay alive." The thumbs up were undoubtedly a gesture of provocation for that small victory, it had been a good idea to leave the bedroom door open. "Not to get sentimental or anything. But would you be able to hurt you big brother, that person that only wants the best for you?" Ah Playing with the family card (More like a pack card, he didn’t believe in the family concept) was something that often failed since she seemed immunized against those attempts, but hey, it was worth a shot. "Also, you don't have to use them as socks, Grab a sewing kit and with a little skill you will have two puppets." @missbxll

“This holiday sounds like it was made by someone on crack.” - tyler

Avatar

Nathan's eyes widened at those words, almost spitting out the rum-laced coke he was still drinking in an attempt to process the words just said. It was as if Tyler always waited for the randy moments to say things like that, or maybe it was a mania they both shared just to enjoy the different kinds of reactions. Both of them were chilling up in the bedroom, in an attempt to clear their minds and start studying for the endings, when the 'quiet' had been broken. He rolled his eyes playfully. Meaningless debates were good pastimes, shaking his head, putting aside the book with which interest had been lost and began to massage the right side of his temple in a thoughtful gesture. It wasn't like there was anything better to do - the other lost boys were busy and who knows what Tink, Peter or Wendy would be doing right now. Nathan pushed consciousness aside, the little voice that indicated to focus, forgetting about obligations as he watched as Tootles seemed to wait for an answer. Immediately the posture leaned back and his face turned to focus the gaze on him. "Dude, I think that's the most serious I've heard someone say about all this. My opinion is more focused on that this is all a great conspiracy to get the money by playing with people’s delusion." He responded seriously, or at least as serious as someone like Nathan could be. It was rare to be somewhat cynical when he was often more like a daredevil with few neurons, as if the possibilities of unveiling something incomprehensible represented an attractive plan, a feeling of excitement and at the same time terrifying. "It's not like it matters much because all of you already have gifts, they'd better be worth it. So it's not worth giving knowing looks." Maybe mixing some coke with rum for studying hadn't been a brilliant idea. "Shall we try to reveal the truth or feign ignorance?" @tylertootlesanderson
