Sooo remember what I said a bit ago about Ko-Fi? Yeah, nevermind that, I found out that Ko-Fi doesn't allow mature works :/ It was completely my bad, an oversight from me. So I've moved over to Patreon!

The things I said about the Ko-Fi apply here too! The only membership for now is $5 and it grants access to WIPs, behind the scenes, and early access to all the art I'll make from now on! In fact, the next part of the Prison AU is available right now! So if you'd like to see it a week earlier than I'll post it here, go over there!

Ko-Fi Tiers

Someone: And what do you think of Lucifer, Adam?

Eden!Adam: Lucifer is amazing! He’s so beautiful and smart and strong and— (goes on and on about how cool Lucifer is).

this was stuck in my brain:

Lucifer had forgotten how curious and inquisitive a young Adam had been in the Garden. How he’d chase after whatever colorful creature raced by, climb all the trees to the very top to see what winged creatures nested in the branches, and attempt to befriend every creature — even those bigger and more powerful than him in size and strength. Lucifer had forgotten that he’d had his hands full, keeping a young Adam from doing dangerous and honestly stupid antics in the name of Discovering Being Human.

Now, however, as Lucifer drank his fifth cup of coffee, eyes trained on the sleeping form of the First Man in all his youthful glory, Lucifer’s memories were returning.

It had taken both Lucifer and Charlie’s combined power the other day to wrest Adam away from the latest dangerous situation he had gotten into since he had first regressed to his younger form. A human was not meant to be tromping through Hell, treating each sight and sound as if it were a bountiful feast of new experiences to explore and enjoy. Especially not a human like Adam, who, fortunately, seemed to bewilder Hell’s denizens as much as he seemed to tempt them. With his big brown eyes, trusting nature, and eagerness to interact, he was a walking target for the seedier beings.

Lucifer had already had to break over a dozen hands that had dared to touch the First Human. Leaving a trail of broken fingers and broken legs — Lucifer had started to nurse a terrible migraine after he had to spirit Adam away from another possible abduction.

And Adam, who looked at Lucifer with that trusting devotion Lucifer had forgotten he had dearly missed, did not understand Lucifer’s frustration. To Adam, in his untouched innocence and naïveté, Lucifer seemed a mite overprotective, and the young man chafed at being corralled, first into itchy clothes that covered Adam’s body, and second into constant supervision by Lucifer or one of Lucifer’s friends.

Lucifer could still recall the little tantrum Adam had thrown earlier, when Lucifer had forbade him from going with Charlie to the supermarket. How the man hadn’t understood Lucifer’s very real concerns, and even started to tear up when Lucifer had raised his voice.

“I never thought you could be so mean,” Adam had cried. “Why are you so mean!”

Lucifer had tried to soothe the human, but Adam had been stubborn, and locked himself away in the room Charie had designated for Adam’s use during his stay at the hotel. But a locked door was nothing to a magical being like Lucifer, and, two hours later, he’d simply used a portal to bypass the lock.

He’d found Adam curled up beneath the blanket Adam had cheekily stolen from Lucifer’s own room, citing it “smelled safe”, and giving Lucifer that big brown-eyed smile that never failed to grip Lucifer’s heart. There had been dried tears on Adam’s cheeks, and he was holding onto the pillow for comfort, arms wrapped tight around the plush object.

Lucifer had debated leaving Adam be, at least until he woke up, but there was something familiar about standing by the human, like a sentry, like a guardian angel. And Lucifer summoned himself a chair and another cup of coffee to assist in that vigil. He’d let his thoughts wander as he’d waited, occasionally refocusing upon Adam, to be sure he was still asleep, still safe, still alive.

Two hours passed before Adam awoke, lifting his head up from the pillow, blinking the sleep from his eyes. And then he had turned towards Lucifer — and Lucifer had waited, wondering how his presence would be received. But the human just beamed, smile a little watery, but a crinkle at his eyes.

“You stayed,” Adam said, and it broke Lucifer’s heart just a little more.

Never, this is Hell eternal suffering and all that

especially if Lucifer is going from having adventurous, wild sex regularly, to suddenly getting cockblocked at every turn. Doesn’t help that Adam licks those lollipops as if he knows exactly what they’re doing to Lucifer.

I know this strays away from my usual content, but I feel it's important to post about this.

Ehab Rida, founder of the GazaDirectAid account on Twitter, along with his team of volunteers, have put together a toy distribution project for the Gazan children who has been displaced in Rafah.

It goes without saying that play is an extremely important part of healthy development for children, and when Palestinian children are having to live through a genocide that is stripping their childhoods and innocence away from them, it's only become even more important for these kids to not only have methods of distracting themselves from the horrors happening to them, but to also have ways to continue experiencing joy and happiness despite what's happening to them.

I totally agree. But may I also offer the possibility that, while pain/ death didn’t exist in Eden, wounds from stupidity still did, because humans are squishy and easily damaged and the angels were guardians of Eden, not just to watch over it, but to also keep an eye on the humans and make sure they didn’t extinct themselves because Adam wanted to climb the tallest tree again and see if he could jump to the next tree over like those monkeys he just named.

imagine Adam just leaking red and not understanding that it’s BAD, because he can’t feel pain. But Lucifer KNOWS it’s bad, so he’s fretting and repeatedly having to heal Adam.

I love that!

Just Lucifer constantly stressed because "No Adam a bone should not be sticking out of your arm! I promise you it's different from teeth!"

It could also probably be another reason that Lilith grew so weary of Adam. She was expected to look out for him as his wife, and she felt that Adam needed to learn to better look out for himself. She might even have ignored some injuries because she hoped Adam would get a clue to do something about them.

Which would ensconce Lucifer further into Adam and Lilith’s drama.

Oh I can see that!

I also believe that due to this time, Adam is quite sensitive when it comes to people calling him stupid/dumb or a fool. He has probably heard that a lot.

Especially if it’s from Lilith. Because she’s supposed to be his other half —- and he doesn’t understand what he’s doing wrong. The only one who really has patience for him is Lucifer. No wonder Adam just wants to wander off all the time — the animals don’t call him names, and sometimes, when Adam wanders off without telling Lilith first, it means Lucifer eventually comes looking for Adam in Lilith’s stead.
