One of the things that’s really pissing me of about this SARS nonsense is, Nigerians are just asking the government to stop killing us... we haven’t even discussed the fact that in 2020 we still don’t have constant electricity, or that child labour is a huge problem... Nigeria has so many issues that are detrimental to the youths and citizens of our country, issues that politicians continue to allow to line their pockets.

The missing girls, the government was silent.

Boko haram, the government did the bare minimum.

NEPA, the government was silent..

Giving jobs to the Chinese instead of Nigerians and treating us like we’re incompetent, the government was silent..

Nigerians are going hungry, silence.

Useless politicians filling their pockets with money for the people, sending their children abroad to got to school, the president flying to America and the uk for doctor appointments because Nigeria doesn’t have proper facilities... and Nigerians have managed with that for years cause “that’s Naija”... it’s foolishness.

Nigerians are trying to succeed in and be proud of the country they’re from all for their lives to be at risked because they have cell phones, laptops and look like they have money to spend... is that not madness???

Nigerians has so much to fight for and I’m so proud that they’re making they’re voices heard cause... it’s time. We can’t continue to allow people who care more about their pockets than the people run our country.

Regardless of your tribe or religion, the eradication of SARS and the reformation of Nigerian is mandatory and is only the beginning of the fight for a better Nigeria!

We will make a change... by fire by force✊🏾

Yesterday on 14 June 2020, queer Egyptian activist Sara Hegazi committed suicide while exiled in Canada. In 2017, she was arrested after flying a rainbow flag at a Mashrou’ Leila concert in Cairo. Accused of ‘spreading homosexuality’, during her time in prison she was tortured, sexually harassed and spent time in solitary confinement. She later fled to Canada after her release, uprooted from her family, her community and her country that she deeply loved. She continued to struggle with depression, PTSD and the trauma of her experiences. During her exile she still engaged with events in Egypt, wrestling with deep questions about the intersections of class struggle and LGBTQ issues in a country where the military regime, hyper-conservative society and religious authorities are waging a psychological and physical war against queer people. May she rest in freedom and dignity.

Sara’s last letter reads: الى اخوتي حاولت النجاة وفشلت، سامحوني الى اصدقائي التجربة قاسية وانا اضعف من ان اقومها، سامحوني الى العالم لقد كنت قاسيا الجو حد عظيم ولكني اسامح ⠀ To my brothers, I tried to survive but I failed. Forgive me. To my friends, The experience has been harsh and I am too weak to stand against it. Forgive me. To the world, You have been very cruel to me, but I forgive you.

For those who don’t know, Rayshard Brooks, 27 yr old father of, was shot and killed by an Atlanta police officer at a Wendy’s parking lot in Atlanta Friday night.

In the video, Mr. Brooks is seen calmly and politely speaking with Officers after falling asleep at a Wendys parking lot because he said he was “Too intoxicated to drive.” The officers could have done the right thing and stayed with him until someone picked him up, allowed him to walk to his home (which he offered to do) or even offered him a ride home, but instead they decided to escalate the situation and kill him.

“Is This Healthy” is a comic that I made for an independent study in which I looked deeper into the idea of health, mental, physical, and emotional as it relates to myself.

This project was extremely personal and I thank any of you who take the time to read it

It is so hard to unlearn fat-shaming rhetoric, and it takes a lot of strength and vulnerability to even try. <3

This looks like a great Pyrenees, a breed of livestock guardian dog, so he’s literally doing what he was bred for by protecting a baby ruminant.

Finally seeing a dog experience the “I can’t get up because my pet is laying in my lap” problem.
