N’adana Vhet
Hey all! Since I’m participating in the FFXIVWrite challenge and am posting things way out-of-order for my WoL’s timeline, here’s a little rundown of my girl to get a better picture of who she is outside the little snippets I’m writing:
N’adana Vhet is my 16-year-old Warrior of Light that grew up in Limsa Lominsa with her single mother, losing her father at a young age and her older brother during the Calamity. Her mom let her go to Ul’dah to train with the gladiator’s guild, but she joins the adventurer's guild while she’s there and subsequently spirals out of control until she’s a full-blown Primal Slayer.
Most of the Scions treat her like their collective child, understanding that she has all this power and is needed to defeat primals, but they all still want to protect her in any way they can. Alisaie and Alphinaud are her best friends, and they’re pretty much the dynamic trio of the Scions (iconic tank, healer, and dps vibes).
During Heavensward and Stormblood, teenage shenanigans ensue - Alphinaud has a mondo crush on her but unfortunately for our favorite boy N’adana is not interested in boys. Instead, she develops a massive crush on his sister and they mutually pine after each other until Shadowbringers.
I’m really passionate about my girl and I just really love the dynamic of “kid is a hero and has to deal with the weight of that while ALSO dealing with growing up and all that comes with it.” I also really love the idea of an entire Trust of teenagers in ShB with Alphinaud / Alisaie / Ryne / N’adana while the other Scions babysit them and subsequently develop a lot of grey hair because all of them together are like the epitome of the one brain cell meme. (Can you tell Percy Jackson and all those other teen adventure series stunted my literary growth? Ofc you can).
