📍To all the boys who were once in my life :

Your hurried footsteps echoed throughout the hallway of your apartment as your feet led you towards your room. A bunch of papers and envelopes were neatly stacked in your arms as you hugged them closed to your chest. You kept them neatly on your now empty desk fumbling to other side of the desk to take a seat on your chair.

You could hear your heartbeating loudly in your ears, your eyes scanning the now empty room which was once filled with things which made your apartment look more like home. Now it was just like an empty box with just a bed and your desk, your majority of the belongings were neatly packed in cartons, a tear escaped your eyes as you bit your lower lips to suppress another sob.

Today was going to be your last week here before you get shifted to Seoul hospital to carry out your further treatment. Although you had made sure to fulfill as many wishes as possible before it gets too late and spend time with your family and friends, there was still some sort of emptiness that still resided inside you making you anxious since you didn't really had much time for regrets.

A year ago, when you finally decided to have a professional help for your constant chest pains and irregular breaths you got the most shocking news of your life.

You were diagnosed with RCM or Restrictive Cardiomyopathy, a condition where the chambers of heart become stiff over time, making it hard for heart muscles to relax on beat like that of a healthy person. The condition made it hard for your heart to get filled with blood creating irregular behavior in your circulatory system.

At first it was hard for you, too much to handle. Your parents became more worried and extra careful about you, your friends started paying more attention to you. You chuckled at the irony, people indeed treat you the way you should be treated when you are dead or in your case on your way to death. You still felt grateful of them and their concern and tried your best to make the best of the life you had been given.

Whatever the future held for you there was one thing which you wanted to complete desparately and that was not having any regrets before you die. So here you were, exactly one year after being diagnosed with such chronic disease, sitting on your desk as you prayed that you would find what the empty feeling was about.

Your hands brought the papers close to you, you wanted to write some letters to your friends to keep so you took out few of the other essential things required for it along with your dairy which you failed to write regularly as planned. You did write many important events of your life in it especially when you had no one by your side or you simply wanted to keep things to yourself, your dairy was your one big secret.

You opened the dairy, flipping pages as your lip curved upward feeling nostalgic while reading about all of your 'big problems'. You flipped the dairy to its last page, a page full of quotes, stickers, doodles and names., names of many people who helped you to be the person you are today.

Your gazed stopped at one name in particular, Yoon Jeonghan, making your heart skip a bit since it had been a while. You grazed your fingers at the two words, gulping at your sudden dry throat, your mind going on roller coaster of emotions as you abruptly closed the diary, closing your eyes due to feeling overwhelmed.

You took few deep breaths to calm yourself before once again opening the diary's last page, the sudden rush of emotions had caught you off guard startling you. You blinked repeatedly as your eyes once again landed on the name. It's been a while since you last heard about him and you wondered what he was upto now that you finally allowed yourself to think about it.

One after the other memories, which you had successfully hide in the deepest corner of yourself, started flooding across your mind taking you back towards the time of your life when you were more reckless and careless.

You concentrated on finding another name admist the ocean of words written, Chwe Hansol, Jeon Wonwoo, Xu Minghao, and then it did, the name you wanted to find the most, Lee Seokmin. You smiled at the name as your mind wondered again wondering how he was but then your eyes once again landed on the other three name you spotted prior and as you concentrated more on the words written on the page you spotted eight more names.

You closed the diary, eyebrows furrowed in concentration and you thought about the moments associated with each of the names written on the page, your heart tugged as you felt an indifferent emotion which you weren't sure about and then an idea click you.

There were lots of things said, unsaid, felt, unfelt, done, undone in between the time you shared with each of them and it would be a shame if you just go without saying anything to them as they were a big part of you.

You took out your writing material and a paper deciding to write a letter or two and sending it to them to tell them about the things which you wanted to. You wanted to apologise or thank some of them and you also wanted to cry out to others too, without any regrets of keeping things just to yourself without any explanation. You wanted yourself to be crystal clear in front of them as your last memory for them.

You rubbed your hands together, huffing deeply as you looked at the papers and envelopes and diary with determination filled in your eyes.

"Come on baby girl, you have exactly one week and you have loads to writing to do before you have to go." you encouraged yourself as you took out your mobile and dialed your best friend's number.

"Jieun, I need you to use your socialising skills and help me find the current locations of the names I'm going to text you within 2 days okay? And you can't ask me why after looking at the names." you said in one breath and hung up even before she could utter another word.

You quickly send her the names of the people you wanted to send the letters to and cracked your knuckles, taking the pen in your hand as you wondered where to start from.
