Sam and Bucky sat comfortably on the large couches in the living room while some reality TV show was used as background noise. Their stomachs were already full from the delicious dinner you had made for yourself and the boys. It was just you, Sam and Bucky this Christmas.ย
The plate of homemade mince pies that Vision brought by with Wanda were sitting neatly on the wooden table ready for Christmas Eve and your Christmas movies.
"Soooo..." Sam cleared his throat, his feet swaying back and forth from where they were draped over the arm of the chair. "What are you looking forward to the most, Barnes?" Sam asked, picking crumbs off his ugly Christmas sweater.
Bucky sighed deeply, his big arms folded over his chiseled chest, raising and falling with each breath he takes. His eyes roam over to your busy figure in the kitchen briefly, his girl, his wife. He reflects momentarily on the past two years of his marriage with you, his line of work interrupting your time in starting a family, for now, Sam was your family.
"I'm looking forward to fucking my wife on Christmas Eve and feeling her pulsate around me like a heartbeat, you?"
Sam's face was priceless and if Bucky had a camera, he would have snapped a picture to print out.
Sam stuttered before he could shake his head and gather his thoughts, stunned by Bucky's forwardness.
"... I'm looking forward to those mince pies." Sam pointed his chin to the plate on the table and Bucky chuckled.
"Oh you meant now." Bucky laughed, which caught your attention from the kitchen. A grin on your face from hearing such a beautiful noise.
You walked in, wiping your floury hands on your Christmas apron.
"What are you boys laughing and giggling about in here?"
Both men looked like deers caught in headlights.
"Nothing." They said at the same time and knowing those two men, it was always something.
