mycology, man...
Very excited that I get to teach two back-to-back workshops at the Center for Cartoon Studies once again this June! If you want to spend a week with me in scenic Vermont doing a deep-dive into horror comics or graphic memoir (or, hell, both?? if that's the kinda life you've lived??), class registration is now open!
It's goblin week!! I had to draw my Girl
THE GOBLIN THRONE PT. II, PAGES 1-18. The first half of a new short horror comic, and a continuation of Part One.
Reblogging because world hard and cold…goblin tiddy also hard and cold
Over on my patreon, I just posted a li'l process post about my coloring work for a horror pin-up illustration gig I turned in recently. Here, as an aperitif, are two of the tiniest previews I could get away with.
My annual "director's commentary" post for the new Goblin Throne chapter just went up on my patreon! Featuring lots of crunchy writing on plot structure, theme, and characterization, as well as: many dumb shitposts. Available to everyone at the $2 behind-the-scenes tier!
THE GOBLIN THRONE PT. II, PAGES 19-36. The second half of a new horror comic, and a continuation of Part One.
THE GOBLIN THRONE PT. II, PAGES 1-18. The first half of a new short horror comic, and a continuation of Part One.
Announcement time: I'm finally ready to share Part II of The Goblin Throne! It's a 36 page comic, full of even more pipin' hot gay goblin divorce drama, and I'll be posting it in a thread over on bluesky December 30-31. Follow along there if you'd like to watch it unfold in real time!
Need a refresher on Part I first? You can read the whole thing here!
Get your pencils sharpened: I'm teaching my online Winter Graphic Memoir workshop this January through the Center for Cartoon Studies! This'll be a 5 day intensive, and it's always an utter delight -- full of lots of drawing, lots of practical lessons, and lots of personalized feedback and support from your instructors and classmates. All experience levels welcome! Check out CCS's Workshop page if you'd like to spend a cold January week warmed by the light of comics~*~
Next Tuesday 11/26 at Silver Sprocket, I'm going to be teaching a workshop on Fairy Tale and Fable Comics! Come join us to learn about fable and fairy tale comics, and draw an original one of your own! The class has a $0-50 sliding scale fee (with no one turned away for lack of funds), and there's still time to sign up on Silver Sprocket's website. Hope to see you there, Bay Area folks!
