Ah it's nice to finally draw this. Took me forever to decide when Lotus would first appear in the story of Yu-Gi-Oh! but after reviewing the manga and anime I decided she appeared during the incident with Inogashira Goro in Duel 6: Into the Fire. As much as a punk as Goro was I don't think blowing him up was... exactly fair. Look, I get it, Yami is relentless with his punishments. (There's a reason Storm and I both jokingly call him Murder Ghost during the initial chapters and Season 0) Especially since Goro really did do some damage. But killing him was... a bit much. So, decided to go the anime route where it's softened a bit. With Lotus being the one to prevent the death. Up until this point she has been a silent observer, letting Yami do his thing. Plus she was still getting herself put together and trying to figure out how to introduce herself. When she saw this... she had to step in. Finding he was going too far and well... not being better than what they would eventually face.

XD So... Yeah. Their first meeting as they are in the modern day wasn't a happy one but it was a needed one. Lotus is basically telling Yami to calm the heck down. And then... things will develop from there.

Very happy with this first entry and I can't wait to reveal more lore. I'm actually currently typing up a whole character summary for Lotus on my ToyHouse. It won't have everything but it will have the basic summary. I'll do scenes like this one to help fill in the blanks and give more detail but it will have the basic information. If you wanna read what I have so far, follow the link below.

Wanted to expand on the human designs I did of the boys. XD I couldn't resist. So, starting with my favorite of the boys, Leo! Or as I've named him here, Takahiro!

The Sons of Hamato Yoshi.

During the Doma Arc, Lotus was mad at Yami for a bit for losing Yugi the way he did. Upset that he dared to use the power they were fighting against... and losing Yugi broke her heart since at this point she had become an older sister/motherly figure to him. So losing him... hit hard. She refused to come out of the puzzle for awhile and Yami couldn't follow her in due Yugi being absent. So... it was a rocky moment in their relationship. The others were very concerned and were wondering if they would ever make up.

Then the duel in the Valley of Souls happened. Lotus was silently observing from the puzzle. Then near the end, appeared to watch in person. Upon seeing Yami cradling Yugi in his arms... and after seeing how the duel played out... it brought back some horrible memories for her... and seeing Yami like how she was back then... snapped her out of her feud with him. Because she saw that in truth... he really did feel horrible for what he had done and was truly sorry. She apologizes to him shortly after. I'll be drawing that later. For now, wanted the focus to be on this key moment. Cause while I enjoy my cute... not everything is easy for these guys. And I want that to be seen too.

Oh man I had SO much fun with this one. I always enjoy commissions that give me different character body types I don't draw that often. Serah is definitely one of those, which just made it all the more fun for me.

Also, Ryan is adorbs. I'm a sucker for characters like him. Curious to learn more about these two.
