The year is 1895 in the township of Bell’s Hill, Kentucky. Bell’s Hill is a mining township run by the Pinkertons and associates, as well as various members of different religious factions, including worshipers of the old gods. These worshippers at war with other religions in town run the revival tent, where miracles are somehow common occurance.
Elsewhere in the town, various unions are attempting to rise up against the upper class, demanding for safer and more equitable conditions.
The Pinkertons and associates want to squash both these budding nuissances from ruining the town they’ve created.

“Dandruff–?” He blinked at Bahorel and then let out a little laugh, “Maybe I’ll run you a bath later, mm?” He suggested with a fond smile, stepping into his room and looking through his clothes.
“You came all the way here to ask me to go to a supermarket with you?” He asked after a pause, shaking his head absently at the other. “Help me find something the same colour, we have to almost match. Is it yellow?”
“I wanted to see you, and wanted to take you out.” He smiled at the other, nodding. “It’s yellow. Yellow with chickens. I thought you might like it.” He looked around and saw a peak of yellow in a drawer. “Here’s something!”
Bahorel reached in and pulled out the sweater, handing it over. “Do you like this one?”

There was a beat before one of his upstairs windows opened and he poked his head out, shoulders bare, “Bahorel you knock like a man who is coming to cause harm.” He laughed, shaking his head fondly, “I will be right there.”
He appeared at the door a minute later, a robe wrapped around him and a bright smile on his face, “I wasnt expecting anyone, I’ve been in the bath– are those chickens? It’s absolutely ghastly and I adore it.” He added after a moment, beckoning him inside and going straight up to his bedroom.
“Oh no, you’ve figured out my evil plan all along.” He grinned, teeth on full display up at Jehan. “Did I startle you? I’m sorry.” He called up, waiting for Jehan to come to the front door.
“Oh a bath? My that sounds like a treat! I need one - got dandruff all over my jeans.” He shrugged, grinning as Jehan noticed his shirt. He followed Jehan in. “I’m hungry, want to see you and want to be seen. Figured we could get all that taken care of at the supermarket or something.”
Bahorel sat at the foot of the bed, waiting with a piece of pie. “Come on, it’s the end of the world for tonight, we might as well celebrate that.” He knew he wasn’t the best at comfort, but he was going to try. He had two arms that were the perfect size for hugging whatever had gotten Jehan down and out.
“If it makes you feel better, it’s strawberry pie. Strawberries and Cream, to be exact. It looked tasty, but I can’t eat the whole thing alone.”

Bahorel finds fashion to be a must; he knows he’s good looking, knows what kind of clothes accentuate his physique. He also knows that Jehan will say he looks good in anything, and that’s okay, because he does care what he thinks, almost more than what the fashion industry says.
Which is to say, he showed up at Jehan’s door in his new sweater almost as soon as he bought it. “Prouvaire!” He knocked on the door loudly, yelling. “Come out, I want to get some fries and shakes.” The sweater in question was bright yellow and had chickens on it.
