Leo/Ray was the first time in all of comic book live action history that two out actors have played two gay male superheroes and kissed on camera. 

At a con last month during his panel, Wentworth Miller cited it as his top moment in his entire time spent in the Arrowverse. Prior to this, he had really, really wanted to play a queer-presenting character on the shows for years. ColdRay is the only romantic Arrowverse ship for any of his characters that Wentworth has ever explicitly mentioned as liking and being proud of. Note that he had already filmed the upcoming LOT episode when he said all this.

Leo/Ray are the only m/m committed couple comprised of main characters in the entire Arrowverse. They’re mutually supportive and openly loving and fiercely ride-or-die in love. Russell Tovey and Greg Berlanti have both repeatedly said Leo/Ray is endgame and THE major romance storyline of Freedom Fighters: The Ray.

They’re everything anyone could hope for in a m/m ship, and it is critically important that Arrowverse fans show support for the ship to the network and production team, so we can see more of them and others like them.

So can we, as a fandom, collectively dial down the relentless fetishizing of one half of them to death every time he smiles at, looks in the direction of or speaks to another character, and just celebrate two queer men being happy together on camera for 5 minutes?

When did they confirm that coldray would be the relationship they were exploring in the ray show?

They have both said that’s what they would like, but it would obviously be contingent on Wentworth’s willingness to return and availability. Greg Berlanti said that stuff about ColdRay being the main ship/major storyline at the Diversity in DCTV panel (that wasn’t its exact title, sorry!) at the TCAs a few weeks ago. Russell said in quite a few interviews for the debut of the animated series last month that he and Wentworth are good friends now and that he (Russell) wants them explored in both live action and animated format, but that he thought animated might be easier for Wentworth to work with. Wentworth said in the same panel I mentioned above that he would be open to returning to the shows for the right stories. 

So, nothing has been set in stone given that the animated series hasn’t even been renewed for a second season (though it will be, given that the CW said it was their most popular CW Seed show ever). But I think the odds are good we will see more of Leo Snart, if not necessarily Earth 1 Leonard.

As far as i’m aware, it terms of Leo being on The Ray, Marc said he’s open to introducing him but only if they can secure Wentworth to voice him, otherwise it’s a “non-starter” to him Which to me is some low level homopohobic bullshit seeing as they have Barry and Oliver running around on the show with different voice actors but I digress.

anyway, a concept: after barry comes back from flashpoint things aren’t the same. But, instead of EVERYTHING being bad and horrible eddie thawne is alive and well , and . living with barry and iris ?? (And They Were Roomates /// Oh My God They Were Roommates). && the 3 of them have been edging into a poly relationship lately but things are still kinda fragile so they both think barry is pulling away bc of henry’s death But really barry’s just really confused like @ eddie are you dating iris or am i???????????????????? why do we all live together this is so weird???? and he tries to be subtle until he gets some concrete evidence but then eddie mentions something abt ‘their room’ to iris so barry just :,( but then like an hour later iris starts brushing his hair back and kisses him really gently and????? and barry’s like um ok eddie’s right there. but eddies suddenly rubbing his back and pressing kisses into his neck and spine and Suddenly barry is so achingly bisexual and this is not what he expected but like,, he’ll take it
