The Pulse: Social change powered by a dynamic, data-responsive entity that tracks over 10,000 real-time conversations on Twitter.

Case, video and link to the live-system: https://www.patrik-huebner.com/portfolio-item/the-pulse-a-real-time-living-brand/

Introducing: The Pulse. Developed for Women Political Leaders (WPL), a premier political women’s network with influential members from around the world. The Pulse is a dynamic, data-responsive graphic that tracks and reacts to WPL's six key topics: Power, Success, Community, Diversity, Change and Leadership – all representing WPL’s key values.

The Pulse assigns a unique form to each topic. As topics trend, those forms draw the user’s attention towards specific issues by growing in size. The positive or negative sentiment that drive the ongoing discussions are reflected by a change of color and allow for a quick interpretation of current attitudes.

This approach of applied Generative Design shows how humans and computers co-create new, more democratic stories in radically different ways. As algorithms carry out the duplication of creative models, new forms of communication emerge that are at eye-level with the audience and allow people to shape and influence future narratives.

A quick demo of how you interact with this 3D-system in real-time - use the mouse to zoom, drag, pan, etc.

This could easily be connected to other forms of interaction like Kinect or LeapMotion.

Researching two-dimensional shape-configurations that, once in motion, form three-dimensional structures in space. These ever-evolving structures are formed out of of thousands of ellipses that generate infinite variations over time.

Runs in real-time - programmed with JAVA, built with Processing.

I know it got quite silent on this channel. The past few months have sent me on an incredible journey to some of Europe's finest capitals as I got to collaborate with some of the most influential design agencies on new and exciting generative projects.

Case videos are currently being prepared, texts written and interviews edited - so expect some exciting stuff in the next few months once I can say more.

Until then, I finally found the time to finish this series of interactive, data-driven explorations of accelerated elements in space. 3/3. Real-time 3D-simulation recorded directly within the browser.

Kinetic motion-study for an interactive, data-driven dynamic identity. 3/3

Modern tools allow us to create dynamic identities that reach beyond traditional mediums and make the recipient an active part of the conversation.

This will serve as a basis to develop projection-mapped, interactive tapeart installations, interactive motion-walls and dynamic key-visuals for posters, videos and GIFs.
