I’m so happy to hear the Spanish dub was better. And that’s soooo cute to know that their Goku VA likes Gochi. I’m honestly disappointed that Sean did this scene with such conviction. Like the end part with the “woaah, is that what people do?!?” C’mon now. I thought those guys had some creative liberties sometimes. What they did was even WORSE than the manga and Japanese sub. At least those made it look like a miscommunication and misunderstanding between Goku and Vegeta. I guess the English VA’s decided to dig in their heels and disrespect the characters in the name of “comedy”

I’d like to think he likes playing up the goody-two-shoes naivety in public, but has some darker more feral and wild Saiyan impulses that only ChiChi is privy too.

They fucked it up lol. Funi dropped the ball on this episode... They really, REALLY made it sound like Goku has no clue what kissing is. At least with the Japanese version it seemed like a funny misunderstanding between Goku and Vegeta. But nope. They really bombed it.

I canNOT stop staring at Goku’s flip and skid ! That animations sequence makes me cry tears of joy, look at the way he’s drawn, how the camera pans out n shakes, how the background speeds past him, n the choreography!
It’s things like this that make me wish they could go back and do the other arcs like this.

Ok, people, I have something to say and I don’t care if somebody takes it the wrong way. I have been a fan of dragon ball for the longest time, way back when the first dragon ball was airing, as a fan I have seen the whole shipping go from a civil talk to a damn war, the classic canon vs headcanon dilemma, hell I was there when vegebul became canon and all the yamcha fans got their hearts. And like then, we got people fighting about headcanon ships and the canon material the anime showcased about said ships. I mean, even to this day there are people that bealive that Goku was tricked into marriage, that Vegeta fell in love with Bulma completely during timeskip or that 18 married Krillin because he was a good boy and she wanted a normal life. The thing is people, we don’t know the finer details of the ships, we don’t know if Goku married Chi-chi anyways because he really loved her or not, we don’t know why Vegeta choose Bulma when he cosidered humans inferior and we don’t know why 18 married good’ol Krillin. And we don’t know because Dragon ball was never focused on romance, don’t get me wrong I am aware there was some of it in the background but was never the main focus, that’s why Toriyama was so quick to use the old “maker of parings formula” drop some hints+timeskip = marriage and children It’s a win-win for him you see, that way he gets a pairing he needs (vegebul, gochi) or wants (K18) and does not need to explain how it began or develop it. So yes, feel free to continue fighting about canon vs non-canon ships, feel free to bealive what ever you want, that Goku is a bad father, that Vegeta was better father than Goku from the very beginning or that Krillin is a cuck or whatever floats your boat. But please, do not use your headcanons to fill the holes left in the canon relationships and then try to pass them as facts to win arguments againts the non-canon shippers. God knows we don’t need more damn lies in this fandom, just look at the mess that the whole “Goku is a bad dad” joke from DB abridged did.
