Wanted to post a HB critique 2 years ago, shortly after Ozzie’s came out. Wanted to wait for S2 instead and see if my critiques are still valid.

S1 is over, and S2 is halfway done…it’s time.

I wanted to show some videos and gifs but tumblr wouldn’t let me post it so fuck that.

I’m gonna explain it through text instead XD.

Basically Brandon Rogers posted a video in May 2018 about him reaching 4 million subscribers.

In that video, he was having an argument/fight with Lucas Cruikshank (Fred).

And Lucas said these lines when it came to Brandon’s content.

“I predict you lean on the same crutch you always do. Like having a new character come out and take the stage.”

Then he also mentions that Brandon also relies on “no-talent actor friends” for his videos. And finally, how Brandon also resorts to always shoot people in the head in his videos…besides 💩 jokes.

…sound familiar?

HB…a show with too many storylines that were set up and then not even resolved.

Remove the “no talent” part, and you have an overabundance of celebrity guest stars that drain the shows budget.

Violent fight scenes that happen so quick that you can’t tell what’s happening.

And of course…a show with no plan or any sense of a direction.

Whew. If you agree, cool. Disagree, cool. Like or love the show, cool.

Hey, just a quick idea I had.

Since HH/HB imo is on a downward spiral, imagine if someone went to A24 and essentially made their own versions of those shows.

Think of this as a Jeremy Zag type scenario. He from miraculous ladybug decided to direct a movie where it was his own version of the show. That’s way different than said show and fans LOVED IT.

I just want someone to essentially do all of Viv‘s projects, but make it their own version.

I think that will be very cool, but I doubt it to see that happen anytime soon.

What do you guys think?

Edit: imagine a HH prequel movie by A24, a HH/HB series that’s PLANNED, hell create a connected universe and bring zoophobia. Being fucking everyone!

Helluva Boss S1E8 was…eh. Pretty bad tbh.

I was happy to see Kesha in this episode. I love the song tbh, the sequence is definitely eye candy. And the callbacks to the Die Young video are top notch. The design alone is really cool (But since she’s supposed to be Beelzebub…then the design should’ve been a bee and not a hellhound.)

I do love tho that Queen Bee wasn’t a stereotypical bitch in this episode and has a healthy relationship with Tex. That was awesome.

Other than that…the episode was eh.

Loona calling Blitz her dad would’ve been so heartwarming if not for the fact that she abuses him in S2E2.

I honestly have given this show the benefit of the doubt so many times and it hasn’t been working for me lol.

Especially after reading Viv‘s thread about her not taking criticism… I just gave up after that XD.

I honestly wish someone would just take all of Viv‘s projects (HH, HB, Zoophobia, etc.) and makes movies and shows based on them. Either stand-alone or part of a shared universe. Basically one big rewrite.

But yeah, that’s pretty much it. If you guys like or love you the episode then I’m happy for you! If you didn’t like it, then you came to the right place!

With my recent posts being critical of Helluva Boss, I wanted to make a review (albeit short) of a piece of media I like. Hell, something I love.

And that is HBO’s The Last of Us.

Imma say this and be done…Jesus it’s such a good show. The changes are actually good and the show also has scenes/dialogue exactly like the game.

Pls watch it, IT’S THAT GOOOOOOD

So…

The newest episode is fucking terrible.

All of the predictions, that myself and other people in the critical tag have made…turned out to be true and the episode was still somehow worse.

Octavia and Loona are literally in the thumbnail and they have BARELY anything to do.

It once again focuses on Stolitz, the show doubles down on Stella being a one dimensional character, even going as far as Stolas telling his daughter that Stella is a bitch. That’s a real fucking line.

And the show goes out of its way TO DEFEND STOLAS…for him cheating on Stella and not caring about Octavia.

(This isn’t an attack on those who like or love these shows, I’m so happy you love them. This is just my pov on the HQ show and HB, feel free to agree or disagree.)

It’s actually weird to me how the Harley Quinn show (a show Vivziepop praises by the way), has a character (IVY) cheat on Kite-Man BEFORE THEIR WEDDING, then the show goes out of its way to justify cheating just for the sake of their ship (Quinn and Ivy). Then Kite-Man all the sudden FORGIVES the two for having an affair instead of the two women being held accountable.

So basically this show focuses its whole time on the ship, at the cost of the show’s writing and character development.

Sounds familiar…(*cough* SVTFOE, *cough* HB)

Hearing about Zootopia+

MOTHERFUCKER YES OH BABY THE KING HAS RETURNED!!!!!

It’s really a spin-off, not the second movie. BUT DUDE!!!! They know!!!

I’m going to get lynched for this.

So I saw the first official episode of helluva boss.

Again, we’ve been blessed with all of this content from Vivienne Medrano and I can’t thank her and her team enough.

But to be quite honest, just like the zoophobia short, I didn’t like this episode. At all.

The animation definitely got better, however there were moments where I couldn’t tell what was happening. Specifically a part where Millie is fighting off with one of the family members. The clothing on the family member was so similar in color to the color of the sky in that moment, where I couldn’t tell what was going on.

And I didn’t like the fact that they decided to rip off the Texas chainsaw massacre for the family. Why?

Also, she literally changed the voice actors for Stolas and Millie. The voices were so good in the pilot but she changed them in this episode...why?

And the characters felt off to me personality wise.

I’m so sorry I’m gonna get so much hate. 🙈

I’m going to get hate for this.

First, happy birthday to Vivienne Medrano. And happy one year anniversary to Hazbin Hotel.

Here’s the thing:

We’ve been blessed with the many things given to us by Vivienne.

The countless Instagram posts by both the Hazbin hotel and helluva boss characters. The addict music video. The Alastor comic. The zoophobia short. We’ve been blessed and I thank her and her talented team behind everything.

However, I have some gripes.

Vivienne needs to focus on her health, along with her team. She’s been doing way too many things at once and I hope she gets the sleep she needs. So I thank her a lot for the work she’s done.

And I am really excited and nervous for helluva boss this Halloween.

Excited to see these characters return and seeing new characters appear. But I’ve heard theories that the promotional piece for episode 1 looks like Alastor. I highly doubt that’s the case, but if it is...then I’ll not be happy about that.

Because one of my criticisms is that if it actually is Alastor, then she’ll be immediately rushing something that doesn’t need to be rushed.

And I wish in the first episode, we get to know how hell works. Because we just get introduced to the characters which is huge. And the goal of the whole show. But with the world, I wish there was more to it.

That’s my take

Nifty.

My somewhat of a fanfic on her origin is this:

- She’s a character that’s always excited and optimistic. Her parents were always supportive of her. And she has OCD which is why she cleans constantly.

- she wants to be a maid because she likes it when things are clean and she is a social butterfly.

- because of that, she was taken advantage of. She had a crush on a boy in 1959. Where he took her out to the local carnival while the song Put your head on my shoulder was playing.

-the boy was a trouble maker. Something that Nifty never knew of. He kissed her and she loved it. He kissed her some more but she wanted him to stop. he kept going. She was unfortunately raped and murdered.

-she goes to heaven and Alastor with his magic, summons her from heaven. But she doesn’t realize it.

That’s my take.

I really liked the Alastor comic. I love the fact that he saves a woman’s life at the end. It shows that maybe he does want to get redeemed and actually wants to help out with the hotel.

I just like how visually amazing this comic is. So it’s beautiful.

I have a little pitch for an Alastor animated origin story film. It chronicles him from a kid to a young adult. Where he becomes a radio talk show host. Life is great. Then the stock market crash happened and his life is shit. 

And all this happens in New York City.

He then moves to New Orleans where he meets a beautiful woman. He gets a local job at a radio station. 

Through a series of events of him being stressed and bored with his life, he all the sudden kills his wife. When he’s done with his anger he realizes what he’s done and he cries so much holding his wife.

So he basically becomes a killer because he killed his wife without realizing it. His anger got to the better of him. He saves women because he sees his wife in them. He doesn’t want the same thing to happen to them. And he forces his smile because he knows deep down he can’t be redeemed. So he kills out of boredom. It’s a sad life.
