I’m running an Introductory Animation Workshop with creative arts students this Saturday (August 20, 2016) for The School of Creative Arts Open Day at Melbourne Polytechnic’s Prahran Campus. I’ve rotoscoped and broken down some of the greatest dance gifs to their basic poses and we’re going to collaboratively design characters then MAKE THEM DANCE!!

hi i havent posted in a while. in my absence i have become utterly engrossed in pmd rescue team. gardevoir is something called an agent of spirits (which is mentioned only twice) so of course i had to latch on to that and create an oc based on it and an 8 page google doc exploring whatever the hell an agent is. this is sebastian stride hes my favorite frog

The struggle of finding a suitable voice claim for Hydreigon is real. since I deduced that he must have a female voice I've been on the prowl for something fitting but he's like totally impossible. ARGH!!!!

Made a pmdsona thing because I want to draw myself with hydreigon and also pay people to do the same thing but that remains to be seen (this is stupid because I already have an oc who is romantically revolving around hydreigon so I literally created my own rival with my hands? I guess)

A long time ago, since the rivers were young and the lands unnamed, when the races were still few and the world untouched by evil, the race of the Lati carried song and message between the great god's temples and their servants. For many ages, their deeds were worthy of many tellings and songs, for their minds were sharp, and their wings were swift. In the air, no being could outpace them. And wherever they flew, they wore armour made in the forges of Heatran, and soaring over the clouds of the heavens, they shone in the light of the sun like a star in the day.
But like most things from the time of old, they have now mostly passed into legend. Their ruin was one of the first tragedies of the Oath Breaking, and few remain after the world was cast into ruin and remade. No longer do the Lati travel the skies and bring tidings from the far corners of the world, and only once in many years are mortals of great fate blessed with their presence, and their songs only bring grief and the sense of memories lost.
Grim seems the fate of the Lati. Yet it was said in the last revelation of the Xatu Seers, which was told before the arrival of the Exiles of Man, that the race of the sky has been healing and waiting for the turning of the world, and that a day will come when the Great Sages return and call upon them, and the holy messengers will once more decent to the Earth, and with their aid the great pillars of evil shall be broken, and the race of Man will renew their oaths, and the world will be mended.
I like to paint sometimes, too, but just for original works..

Gurdurr from gates to infinity being the only PMD character to be blessed with a visible cosmetic change to his model/sprite aside from hero/partner is very funny to me. he's the only guy with oc aesthetic privileges. Like, at first I thought hey maybe this is something vanilla Gurdurr just has on its design NO HES JUST SPECIAL
Hello, may we get more Oc Lore on Frazier (I hope I spelled that right) if you’re willing?
I've been keeping it a little bit under wraps just because I don't have absolutely everything tied up in a neat little bow YET but I can tell you a little bit about Frasi and his 'friends' at least!!
Frasier (Nuzleaf) is a good-natured and easygoing thief who aspires to be a famous explorer one day. He always seems to get caught in some kind of trouble, and he's incredibly unlucky. As such, he hasn't been dealt the easiest cards to play in the world, but he's a happy camper anyway! He's on a search for his best friend who vanished with the aid of a helpful Dragalge! (The entire reason I made him is because I wanted to explore the reason why the Nuzleaf of PSMD was such an easy target for what happened to him in that game, but it happened to domino into becoming its own little oc story... oops)
Ryoma (Lucario) is Frasier's eccentric best friend. Due to a birth defect, Ryoma's aura sensory skills are way more sensitive than those of a regular Lucario and they can't quite.. turn them off. Because of this Ryoma perceives the world differently than others might. Ryoma is also the founder of a group called the Aether Branch Investigation Squad, and they make the bold claim that they will be responsible for finding the warp that this universe has left agape. Ryoma was officially filed as missing in the Water Continent a couple years before the story takes place.
The Planetary Navigator (Dragalge) claims to be a reverend spirit guide that exists to lead wayward souls to enlightenment. In reality, Navigator isn't a Pokemon at all, and is instead the Voice of the Abyss (this makes more sense if you're familiar with the plot of PMD: Gates to Infinity but just roll with it if you aren't LOL) given physical form. In other words, Navigator is a personification of all the negative and wicked feelings and auras of the living creature in the world. Navigator is a miserable creature because it's made of miserable feelings, so it wants to destroy all negativity so it can disappear forever. Unfortunately for it, the route to destroy the source of negativity (all of what lives) might be more difficult than anticipated without a pair of perfect scapegoats to get away with it. wink wink nudge nudge
