15 Day Challenge; Day 14: Candy/Candy Corn

A/n: SO this one is much shorter mainly because I didn’t have much time to write today. I had a bit more fun with this piece, and it’s based off an argument between my friend and I. Just to be clear I fucking hate candy corn, it is horrible, and if you like it, you can fight me. -G

Warnings: Swearing, fighting

Pairing: Loki x Reader

———————————————————————————————————–

“I cannot fucking believe you,” her voice rang through the room “How could you betray me like this?”

“I don’t understand how liking candy corn is betrayal,” Loki replied

“You were supposed to hate it,” she told him “I guess you really are a villain after all. Next thing you know you’ll be saying you like licorice,”

“I do like licorice,” the god smiled as she gasped

“That’s it,” she paused “I know it’s only been a few days, but we have to break up. I cannot associate or spend my life with someone who likes candy corn and licorice,”

“You’re already breaking up with him huh,” Tony said as he walked into the living room with Bruce “that didn’t take long.”

“He liked candy corn,” Y/n exclaimed “And licorice,”

“Ooooh,” he grimaced “That’s a rule breaker,”

“I don’t think licorice is that bad,” Bruce chimed in

“Not you too,” She cried

“At least I’m not the only one with good taste,” Loki said

“You’re all heathens,” the girl screamed

“except me right,” Tony asked

“Except Tony,” she smiled “I just might have to date him instead.”

“Oh please you wouldn’t last a day with Tony,” Loki huffed

“At least he doesn’t like candy corn and licorice,” she remarked

“You couldn’t handle his snark,” Bruce interjected

“I handle Loki pretty damn well,” she mocked offense

“Yeah but he likes you,” Tony reminded her

“Do you not like her?” Loki asked

“What he said” she crossed her arms

Tony’s eyes grew wide as Bruce chuckled “No,” he started “I like you. Everyone likes you, you’re a very likable person.”

“That’s what I thought,” she replied, “I’m great, unlike candy corn.”

“I will say I do like you more than candy corn,” Loki admitted

“You better,” she turned to him “if you didn’t you’d have serious problems,”

“You say that like he doesn’t have serious problems already,” Tony added

Loki was about to say something before Y/n interrupted him “Don’t think I won’t slap you just ‘cause you share my hatred for licorice,”

Tony raised his brow “I thought you didn’t like him anymore,”

“Well maybe I don’t like you anymore,” she replied turning away from him

“Rude,” Tony muttered

“I can forgive you for your horrible taste so long as you never make me eat licorice or candy corn,” she said to Loki

“I would never dream of it,” the god smiled

15 Day Challenge; Day 13: Bonfire

A/n: I hope you guys like this part I have been waiting to get here for ages! Only 2 more days left! I will be working on requests asap and feel free to send them in. I hope you like this part I had planned for it to focus on the bonfire just a bit more but it didn’t end up working so I cut that piece. Without further ado… day 13

Pairing: Loki x reader

Warnings: none

———————————————————————————————————–

It was a few hours before the party, Y/n was rushing around making sure everything would be perfect. The large fire pit was set up on the roof with plenty of wood to last the night a few decorations were scattered about the lights from her and Loki’s movie night still up. Food tables were full, and there was plenty of music. It had taken her and the Avengers most of the day to set up mainly because she was so worried Loki wouldn’t like it. Thor kept assuring her he would, and soon she was left with nothing to do but get ready. She had told the god they were going to a Halloween party her friend was throwing and much to his dismay he had to get a costume. It took her hours to find him one he would wear, but after lots of convincing, she convinced him to go as Tulio from The Road to Eldorado. She was going to go as Chel, and for the added effect she easily convinced Thor to dress as Miguel.

She quickly got ready and made her way to the roof. It was getting dark, and even though she felt horrible, she ignored all of Loki’s texts. It was all part of her plan to get him to the roof without hesitation. Once everything was set up, and the rest of the team was present she put her plan into action. Tony had JARVIS inform Loki that she was on the roof and to hurry to get there.

Something wasn’t sitting well with the god, why would she be on the roof and why would he have to hurry. Why wasn’t she answering his texts and where the hell was everyone else? Had she hurt herself again and if so why didn’t anyone stop her? It was unlikely that she’d be alone if he couldn’t find anyone else. As he going open the door, he was met with the answers to his questions.

“Glad you could join us,” Tony smiled

“What is all this?” the god asked him

“Your girlfriend thought it would be nice to throw you a surprise party for your Halloween,” the man informed him

“She’s not my girlfriend,” Loki muttered

“She’s dressed for the part,” the god looked at him confused “Chel is the love interest, did you not watch the movie?”

Loki looked down at himself in realization “I was busy doing other things,” he said

“So she picked the costume then?” Tony smirked, “I think that’s proof she likes you.”

Loki shook his head and walked over Y/n. Why did everyone think they would be good together, why couldn’t they just let him be?

“So?” she asked a smile spread on her face

“You didn’t have to do this,” he told her

“It was either this or let Tony plan a Halloween party and drag you to it. I figured you’d like this better,” she explained

“I do,” he replied

“And,” she lead him to the food tables “I made soul cakes and asked Thor what you liked and tried my best to replicate it,” she trailed off continuing to tell him all the things she had done, but he soon found himself lost in thought. She had done all this for him and never had he returned the favor.

“Brother,” Thor exclaimed cheerfully as he clapped Loki on the back “excuse us Lady Y/n,”

She looked slightly disappointed but smiled as Loki was lead away.

“What are you doing?” Loki hissed

“Helping you,” Thor smiled

“How do you intend to do that?” the younger raised a brow

“You like Lady Y/n do you not?” Thor responded Loki rolled his eyes “Tell her, soon brother,”

“And how do you propose I do that?”

“Just tell her,” Thor replied

“Tell her what that whenever I’m I

Without her, she’s the only one on my mind? That she doesn’t deserve someone like me because she’s done all this and I haven’t done a single thing for her? Or maybe I should explain to her that I do love her, but I can never get close to her because she could be gone before I know it, no matter how much I’d love to grow old with her I’ll never get to,” the god had forgotten where he was and with each word his voice grew louder

“You do realize if you take forever to figure your shit out I’ll be dead right? Because out of everything you said you are right about one thing, I’m not going to live forever so you better hurry the hell up,” a voice sounded from behind him, the god froze as the other Avengers chuckled

“I-“ he stuttered, speechless

“Do you love Me? Or at least think you do?” she asked

“Yes,” he swallowed the lump in his throat

“Do you want to act on it or just sit in silence pretend there’s nothing between us?” she asked

“I planned on the latter,” he smirked as she rolled her eyes

“You’re inconceivable,” she muttered

“Large words for a simple Midgardian such as yourself,” he chuckled

“Just shut up and kiss me you idiot,” she smiled and stood up on her tiptoes to reach him better. He wrapped his arms around her waist and couldn’t help but smile when their lips met. She did the same, and the rest of the Avengers cheered. When they broke apart, she was a giddy mess.

“You have no idea what you just got yourself into,” Tony chuckled

15 Day Challenge; Day 12: Harvest Moon

A/n: Idk how I feel about this one but in my defense, I was distracted by Game of Thrones. I tried to involve a bit of the Heathen tradition in this part, and more will be in the second. If I misrepresent anything, I’m sorry I’m new to Heathenry, but I’m slowly getting into it. -G

Pairing: Loki x Reader (SO CLOSE)

Warnings: none

———————————————————————————————————–

Loki walked into the kitchen and was greeted with a beautiful smell. His eyes landed on a dancing figure, he didn’t dare speak. He almost swore he could hear her singing. Sure he had heard her sing before but never like this. Usually, she would scream along to the lyrics, but this time her voice was sweet. She turned to face him and the instant she saw him she froze.

“How-how long?” she stuttered

“Long enough,” he smirked, “I see you’re feeling better.”

All she could do was nod.

“What are you doing?” the god replied trying to get her to talk

“Baking,” she replied simply

“Baking what?” he asked

She set the bowl on her hip “You sure are asking a lot of questions,” “I’m a curious god,” he smirked

“Cakes,” she said “I read online you’re supposed to serve them on a harvest moon. I also read it’s supposed to be a good time for spell work,”

“And?” he raised his brow

“You’ve never really shown me what you could do,” she smiled “magic wise.”

“I don’t think your little website meant literal spells,” he told her

“So,” she trailed off

The god sighed and flicked his wrist producing a single yellow tulip and giving it to her.

She smiled and placed the tulip in a vase as she continued to bake. Soon the god was helping her or at least she thought it was him. She turned around to find another Loki sitting at the table and another doing the dishes.

“All of you need to get up to the roof,” Y/n replied looking around the room. The illusions vanished, and soon she was walking to the roof with the real Loki trailing behind her.

“What is all this?” he asked as he saw the roof strewn with fairy lights. A large canvas screen was set up with a projector the menu for some movie pulled up.

“You like it?” she asked “I figured we could cross of scary movies while embarrassing the harvest moon. I-I tried to find other things to do that were more Norse but-” “It’s wonderful,” the god cut her off “we never did much for the harvest moon anyways, this is better than how I would’ve spent it on Asgard,”

“With Thor?” she asked

“In a cell,” he replied grimly “but I have good company and good entertainment,”

“I wouldn’t say Crimson Peak is good,” she chuckled

“Well I have good company,” he smiled as he sat next to her in one of the chairs that was set up in the building “and that’s all I could ask for,”

15 Day Challenge; Day 11: Fireplace

A/n: Short and sweet just like the others! I think this is my favorite part as of rn I hope you like it as much as I do! There is quite a lot of fluff for you all. -G

Pairing: Loki x reader (getting closer!!!)

Warnings: mentions of anxiety and stress

———————————————————————————————————–

She didn’t know why she was freaking out more than usual, she attributed it to her plans with Loki and the lack of days to finish his list. Not to mention the lack of sun lately. She didn’t want to think about the fact that she was beginning to love him and that he seemed to be feeling the same. She might act like a child at times but she wasn’t stupid and she could read people, and apparently gods, pretty well. She doubted her thoughts up until Thor had told her of his brother’s feelings. She wasn’t going to say anything if he wasn’t though and she figured that he wouldn’t say anything, ever. He had plenty of reason not to, she doubted he’d want to get close to someone so easy to lose. And so she was sat to mope in her room and try her best not to snap at anyone.

That was easier said than done as soon she was pulled from her safe space and forced to talk to people at the tower. Usually, she loved the weekend dinners, but this weekend it was too much. It didn’t take her long to lose her patience with practically everyone. She apologized and excused herself, taking her meal to her room.

“Is she alright?” Loki was the first to speak up

Tony smirked “and you say you don’t like her,”

“Am I not allowed to be worried about my friends?” the god retorted

Tony was about to say something but received a glare from Bruce “she’s probably just stressed and low on Vitamin D, it happens,” the doctor shrugged

“Is there anything I can do to help,” the god asked “Leave her alone?” Tony chuckled “You really have no idea how women function do you?”

“Or perhaps Midgardian women are different than the ones on Asgard.” Loki huffed

“Well if you walk in on her and she seems to be having trouble breathing or is crying stay for awhile unless she says otherwise. Try to wrap her in a blanket and keep her warm it should help,” Bruce informed him

“Why wouldn’t she be able to breathe?” Loki asked trying, and failing, to hide his worry

“Panic attacks mess you up man,” Tony sighed

As soon as the meal was over Loki excused himself to check up on Y/n, he was hoping she’d just be upset, but instead, she was shaking and curled in a ball on her bed.

“Y/n,” he called softly

She didn’t say anything or move, he walked closer to her bed and sat on the floor beside it.

“Do you want me to leave?” he asked after a long pause

Tension hung in the air until he heard a whimper

“No,” she rolled over to face him, her eyes red and puffy.

“Are you alright?’ he asked mentally cursing himself for asking a stupid question

“I’m trying to be,” she replied slipping from her bed to sit next to him, she was already wrapped in a blanket so Loki did the only thing he could think of to help her be warmer. Within seconds a small fire was in the fireplace across the room, he hoped the heat would reach her. She looked up at him, and he smiled. To his surprise, she moved closer to him and put her head on his shoulder.

“Thank you,” she muttered after a while “I’m probably the most annoying person on the planet to you right now. Dragging you around to do things you don’t even want to do.”

“I might not want to do them at first, but somehow you always change my mind,”  the god replied, “besides if I found you annoying, I wouldn’t even let you take me places.”

She sighed “Still, I’m sure you have your own traditions, and I didn’t even think about that,”

“I can always share them with you another time,” he shrugged “perhaps next year you’ll have a list of your own.”

“Maybe I will,” she smiled

“That’s better,” he said

She huffed and shook her head somehow getting even closer to the god. He wrapped an arm around her and held her till she fell asleep. Not knowing what to do he sat there and watched the fire doing his best to keep her comfortable.

15 Day Challenge; Day 10; Hoodie

A/n: First things first, everyone happy dance real quick cause I got a job! Second, that does mean I might be a little slower in responses.Third, requests are open, and I do write for people other than Loki so send those in cause I’m low key (HA) getting tired of writing for him and I need a lil break. Fourth, enjoy this part only 5 left!

Pairing: Loki x Reader (eventually)

Warnings: none

———————————————————————————————————–

She was scrambling around her room, throwing things left and right. She had told Loki to meet her in a few minutes, and she couldn’t find her hoodie. Yeah, she had others, but this one was her favorite. It was soft and managed to keep her warm no matter how cold it was, and something about it just made it amazing. It was something that had always been there when she needed it, and now it was gone. Plus it had all of her pins

“I thought you wanted to go out,” Loki appeared in her doorway

“I can’t find my hoodie,” she told him

“Can’t you wear your usual one,” he asked

“I can’t find my usual one,” she replied

He sensed the worry in her eyes “I’m sure you just left it somewhere,” he replied “We can go out and then look for it when we get back,”

She nodded, and with that, they left.

She had thought they could go around town and stop at a few stores. She needed a few things, and she didn’t want to go alone. She hadn’t bothered to grab another hoodie, something about the ordeal made her forget. She did her best to keep warm, but she was a shivering mess.

“Are you alright?” Loki asked

“I’m fine,” she smiled

“Here,” he replied taking his blazer and wrapping it around her

“You don’t have to,” she replied

“I’m a frost giant, I don’t really need it,” he shrugged

She slipped on the jacket “Thank you,”

“Of course,”

It wasn’t long before they had finished shopping and were back at the tower. He hadn’t forgotten about his promise to help her find her jacket, and neither had she.

“You check around here I’ll go to the pumpkin patch and look around, deal?”

“Deal” she nodded

She made her way to her room and continued to throw anything and everything that wasn’t her hoodie around her room. When she was done there, she examined every room in the tower beside the bedrooms and did her best to interrogate the Avengers. It didn’t take her long to give up.

Loki was already on the other side of town. He had made his way to the pumpkin patch they were at last night and asked if they had it. The man at the desk said that he didn’t know and soon the god was examining every inch of the place. It took him the rest of the day before he had made his way back into town. He checked the park she had taken him to awhile back and the stores that they had visited a few days before. It was well into the night when his phone started to buzz.

“Where are you?” her voice sounded through the phone

“I’m still looking,” he replied, “did you find it?”

“No,: he thought he heard someone else on the line “THor wants to know when you’ll be back,”

“When I find your jacket,” he told her

“I told you he liked her,” he heard Thor yell as the others laughed

“Thor,” your voice was laced with venom which killed his laughter “Sorry about them. Don’t worry about the jacket I’ll get a new one and buy some of the pins.”

“But,” Loki started

“It’s fine,” she cut him off “just come back please,” she said quieter

“I’m on my way,” the god said as she hung up.

“He likes you,” Thor told Y/n

“I heard you the first ten times,” she rolled her eyes

“You like him,” Tony replied

“I do not,” she gasped

“Love is not a weakness Lady Y/n,” Thor told her

“I know,” she muttered “I just don’t like him like that,”

‘Do to,” Tony whispered as he walked by.

The elevator door opened and Loki walked out only to be pushed back in by Y/n.

“We’re going to your room,” she said, “I am so done with them.”

“Alright,” he chuckled

“Your brother wants us to date,” she informed him

“Does he now?” he asked as she nodded

“And then he convinced Tony, who convinced Steve which convinced Nat who easily convinced Clint and honestly the only people who don’t want us to date are you, me, and Bruce,” she explained as they walked to his room

He hummed in response and nodded “I’m glad I missed it,”

“I’m not,” she frowned “Hey,” she smiled and walked over to a chair in his room and picked up a jacket “found it!”

“I thought I told you to check the tower?” he smiled

“I didn’t want to go into your room without permission,” she smiled

“That’s never stopped you before,” he shook his head

“Honestly, I gave up after I went through my room,”

“I knew I shouldn’t have left you alone,”

15 Day Challenge; Day 9: Corn Field

A/n: Almost t get this up, but I managed to type something up in school. I meant to continue it, but I just got home (it’s like 10, and I still need to do a bit of homework), so I tied it up a bit and figured it was better than skipping a day. Besides, I like how it is, and I don’t want to get too far behind.Sorry for the length -G

Pairing: Loki x reader (eventually)

Warnings: none

———————————————————————————————————–

“You’re sure we can’t just wait,” she had asked for the millionth time. The poor woman was already pale, and her eyes grew wider with every scream they heard.

“I promise nothing will happen to you,” Loki said taking her hand, only then realizing how much she was shaking “You’ll be ok,”

She nodded and soon it was their turn to enter the maze. She clutched to the god as they walked, he was surprised he had any circulation in his hand after the first few minutes. The maze was longer than he had anticipated but as they went through it, Y/n started calling down. Soon she had even let go of his hand not feeling the need for it anymore. Loki hadn’t really registered her absence until it was too late. He had been focused on getting out but he hadn’t heard from her in awhile, and when he looked behind him she wasn’t there.

He backtracked, but after realizing he wouldn’t be able to keep track of the turns, he turned around. She’d get out on her own, hopefully. He kept his eyes out for her as he went through the maze for the first time that night he was actually scared. Scared he wouldn’t find her, scared she’d hurt herself again, scared she’d never make it out.

Y/n, on the other hand, was petrified the second after she realized she took the wrong turn and wasn’t behind the god anymore. She had waited for a few minutes until she decided he wasn’t coming back for her. She didn’t blame him, it was dark, and it was a maze after all. She prepared for the worse and worked her way through the maze. She tried her best not to scream, after all, she was a shield agent, and these were just children in costumes. She failed on that part but found her way to the end of the maze and spotted Loki.

“I did it!” she shouted a giant smile on her face

“Are you ok?”He asked at the same time

“I’m great, no amazing,” she laughed “I made it through most of that on my own.”

“I know,” he replied “I’m so sorry Y/n I didn’t mean to lose you,”

“It’s ok,” she smiled “turns out I didn’t even need you,”

He knew she hadn’t meant for it to be rude but the comment hurt. She was proud, and he was proud of her, but the god had grown to realize that even if she didn’t need him, he needed her.

“No you didn’t,” he replied softly

“I’m proud,” she chirped “Are you proud? I’m fucking amazing,”

“You’re letting the adrenaline get to you,” Loki chuckled

“I don’t care,” she replied, “I just survived a haunted corn maze all by myself.”

15 Day Challenge; Day 8: Hayride

A/n: Sorry I’m a day late again, but I got busy last night. It’s a bit short like the others, but I didn’t know exactly what to do for this part. -G

Pairing: Loki x Reader (eventually)

Warnings: none

———————————————————————————————————–

What had began as a team gathering soon became just the two of them. Y/n was still in her boot and couldn’t go on missions, and Loki was still tasked with making sure she didn’t hurt herself again. She had planned for them to go to a small pumpkin patch, the other Avengers still needed pumpkins, and she figured while they were there she could introduce Loki to all of the things she had done as a child. The corn maze, hay rides, pumpkin chucking, and of course caramel apples and cider. Unfortunately for her most of the team was called out on a mission leaving her and the god behind.

“We can still go if you want,” he said as he sat beside the pouting girl

“Yeah but it won’t be as fun,” she moped “I was going to get Thor to carry me around, and convince Steve to get a crummy airbrush tattoo which would lead to everyone getting one. And we were going to do zombie paintball, and Tony was going to pay for it.”

“We can still do all of that,” Loki reminded her

“But I’m actually going to have to walk,” she whined making the god laugh

“If it’s really that big of a deal we can go some other time,” he told her

“But I’m bored now!” she cried

“Then let’s go,” he threw a jacket at her

She slid her jacket on “I’m not taking those,” she motioned to her crutches

“If you don’t tell I won’t tell,” Loki smirked

They arrived at the pumpkin patch, and already the god could tell how upset Y/n was that the others weren’t there to see it. It may have been a childish thing to do but as far as Loki could tell the Avengers were children.

She lead Loki around the area not stopping once to try anything out. She made her way to the table with cider only to find they were out and most of the places were closed or closing. Neither of them had realized how late it was.

“I’m sorry I dragged you here,” she sighed “usually it’d be more interesting.”

“It’s alright,” he said “the hayride seems to be going we could do that,”

“If you want,” she tried to smile as he took her to the line

“It could be worse,” he reminded her

“Don’t say that or it’ll get worse she mumbled

The line was pretty short considering, and soon they were on the cart. Hay was scattered everywhere and as much as he hated how messy it got the god tried to look like he was enjoying himself.

“I saw a sign for a corn maze the was still open,” he mentioned

“It’s probably a haunted one,” she sighed

“Then I’ll get to cross off two in one,” he smirked

She shook her head “I dunno, I was hoping we’d have a larger group,”

“Are you scared?” he asked. She hesitated but nodded “I’ll be there the whole time. I promise nothing can or will happen to you.”

She looked up at him “You promise for real?”

“I’ll protect you,” he paused “You have my word.”
