Kermit: Oh, oh, uh... well, fine. Listen, after these messages we’ll be back with a lot of great funny sketches and, and some neat songs... hm, and, and maybe some sex-
Yellow Muppet: What?
Kermit, reassuringly: Hm? Well, just a little sex-

This post is nearing 50,000 notes! I think that’s really cool, despite the occasional VERY judgmental notes about how I should respect my paperbacks. The ‘after’ picture is based on how my copy of Mort looked after I took it on holiday camping as a child and read it 4 times then let it get mouldy from dew by leaving it in the grass. Still readable though.
(For those interested, 50,000 notes translates to around £260 in bookmark and print sales of this design so far)
sometimes a book in that condition shows that it was loved and read many times
Sometimes readers will come to signings and sheepishly apologize for handing me a copy of one of my books that looks like this. I always tell them not to apologize--for an author, that's literally the most beautiful sight in the world.
Six of crows lmao

lovely story from a friend today.
Look, this post has been wildly more popular than I thought it deserved, apparently at least in part because "don't burden others; be independent" is far more ingrained in people than I realized. So here's the thing: society works when people help each other. Helping others gives people a chance to know each other, and gives them an investment in the people they help. Helping creates bonds. People enjoy helping, and you are doing a good by letting them help you if they so wish.
Offer help; accept help. You will be a part of creating a helping culture. Which, incidentally, weakens capitalism and the fractionation between people that benefits those who would use us.
you’re just like the rest of them

Gordon is portrayed as a man wearing blue attire that is smeared up with various colored paint-like spots and his face appears somewhat scratched. Gordon is lamenting as he leans down face-to-face towards the skeleton of Henry. the background of the picture above is black and the one at the bottom's is red.
