After Shocks // Jeremiel & Cassie

There wasn’t much movement from Cassie when she heard the door open, just a small groan at his greeting, “I wanna sleep but I don’t want to,” she pushed the sheet just enough past her face that he could only see her and nose, “Does that make sense?” a small giggle came from her lips but it cause an ache in her back that made her cringe, “And that needs to stop,” she sighed before she finally sat up.
Running a hand through her hair, she kicked her legs over the edge of the bed before slipping off the mattress. Slowly she made her way towards him, “Have you been up all day,” she asked before slipping her arms around his waist, “I prefer when you are laying next to me.”
Jeremiel remained in his spot. Warm blue eyes watched every move the blonde made. He could understand where she was coming from, but it was a feeling he long forgot considering how long he had been around. “If you want to lay in bed, so be it.” He wasn’t going to force her to leave. Cassandra should rest and learn to adjust to her new lifestyle. He raised a brow when she giggled. She still had that side in her. “It will stop over time. It will be something you will get used to.”

He licked his lips when she slowly made her way towards him. “Did you expect me to lay in bed with you all day?” He took the opportunity to do some paperwork he had to do. He still had a business to maintain. “We can lay in bed later. Are you hungry?” An arm wrapped around her and he kissed her temple. “I can make us some food.”

After Shocks // Jeremiel & Cassie

The day after her first full moon was spent in bed for Cassie. Sleep was the only thing that seemed to be all she could manage, despite her desire to chase away the visions that met her when she closed her eyes. Unsure of the time, the blonde sat up in bed, her body aching more than it ever had before, even as a human. This was expected but that didn’t make the soreness from reaching every inch of her body.
Reaching for the glass of water by the side of the bed, she drink was remained but it didn’t cure the dryness in her throat. Her eyes scanned the room, her ears trying to detect any noise in the house. When she heard the faucet in the kitchen, she let out a short breath of relief that Jeremiel was still there. Rubbing her neck, she toyed with the idea of just crawling back under the covers.

Jeremiel remembered the night vividly. He saw his wolf lose control. It was expected for her first full moon. If she could only remember all the killing she did. He was not surprised to see her wolf white as snow. It contradicted his onyx wolf. Cassandra slept late into the afternoon. He spent the day doing some work and tidying up around the house. His head turned into the direction of the stairs. He would hear her stirring.

He turned off the water, drying his hands with the tea towel beside him. Silently he crept up the stairs, hand gliding along the railing. The blonde wolf pushed open the bedroom door watching her hide under the sheets. “Afternoon.” He smirked leaning against the door frame, looking over at her. “How are you feeling?”

First Christmas

It had been a few weeks of adjusting, but what had been done was done and the only thing left to do was to wait until the next full moon for it to be official. He was sure Cassandra was prepared for it all, he warned her the first one was going to leave her in a lot of pain. For now they were going to celebrate their first Christmas together. They had gone all out with a tree, decorations and even presents. He couldn’t remember the last time he had done something like this. He was in the kitchen making them some hot chocolate with baileys, bringing the tray into the living room where she sat by an open fire. “How are you feeling?” He went to sit down beside her. There were going to be some effects on her. Skin crawling, burning up, the need for blood. Jeremiel wasn’t sure if this was a good idea. They should have waited a little longer.

The gift

The distance between where they were and the bedroom seemed like miles. If only she had just told him to take her right then and there. The thought soon faded as she was laid down on their bed, the human lifting herself up on her elbows as she watched his shirt come off his torso. He was all hers, Cassie thankful she no longer had to  share.
Her eyes quickly shot up to his at the mention of being marked. Cassie was sure her eyes became wider, her pupils larger at the thought. She bit her lip, fully aware of what this meant. Sitting up enough to pull her shirt off, she threw it on to the floor before moving to her knees at the end of the bed. Her hands moved to Jeremiel’s shoulders as she leaned in, her lips grazing along his jaw and to his ear, “I’ve been waiting a long time for you to say that to me,” she pulled back and smirk formed on her face before she pressed a kiss to his lips.
Jeremiel watched Cassandra carefully. He watched her take off her shirt and cast it aside. The way she came to him only had his wolf prowling on the surface and ready to pounce at any time. The blonde wolf was more worried on whether he could keep control the whole time. After tonight she would have to say indoors until the bruises disappeared. He knew there would be a lot of bruises and a mark somewhere on her body. This would be his wolf marking her as his, and his alone. Not that he was worried that she would fall prey to someone else. His eyes never did turn back their cobalt blue; they would stay golden. He growled against her mouth before he lowered her back against the bed. His hand trailed down her side, down further against her leg, hooking under her knee and pulling it up against his waist. His teeth nipped at her bottom lip, hard enough to draw blood. He hoped she wouldn’t mind about the fact she would be covered in blood. His hips rolled down against hers, the erection in his jeans growing taut.

The gift

As the ring slipped onto her finger, reality truly set in. This was what her life would be from now on. Her and Jeremiel was all that mattered anymore. She eagerly accepted his kiss as he pulled her against his large frame. Her wolf and protector. Her one and only from now and for eternity, “I love you…so much,” she whispered before deepening the kiss. Cassie wasn’t able to resist jumping easily into his arms, her legs wrapping around his waist. ?Take me to bed, fiance,” she said with a short giggle before kissing him again.
ImageImage
Jeremiel slipped the ring on Cassandra’s finger. This was really happening. He was engaged to Cassandra Blake. Jere thought he would ever be in the position of being happy again. To think that there was ever a future for him. He smiled against her lips. “I love you too.” Strong hands grasped her ass, feeling her legs wrap around his waist. “Your wish is my command.” He growled against her mouth, leading her upstairs to their room.

He laid her down in the middle of the bed, pulling away from her. Golden hues fixated on the human. His human. He could feel the wolf scratch at the surface. He wanted to take what was his too. His fingers curled around the hem of his shirt, lifting it up over his head, kicking his shoes off under the bed. “I will mark you.” He warned Cassandra.

The gift

His question made her eyes knit together and look up at him. She wasn’t used to that, the doubt that she would be the one to leave. But she left Alex, so maybe the human did hold some form of power, “I could never do that,” she finally answered. A smile tug at the corner of her lips, “You saved me. You truly took me away from despair and gave me life. Something to live for that wasn’t being the perfect slave,” there was no longer a need for him to wait for her answer anymore, “I’ll marry you a thousand times if it means spending forever with you, Jeremiel.”
He waited patiently for Cassandra to debate inside her head on what her decision would be. He smiled at her comment. “You know I could never leave you either.” His other had caressed her cheek. She would never know what she had done for him. Even though they were kept apart to other circumstances, they didn’t have to worry about that now. “You don’t need to be perfect.” He leaned down to brush his lips against hers. He slipped on the ring on her finger, an arm wrapping around her waist and pulled her body flesh to his, kissing her deeply where he murmured. “I love you.”

The gift

There was still little puffs of air coming from Cassie’s mouth but no words. Surely he enjoyed making her speechless but that usually only occurred while they were both naked, “Jere….” finally, something came from her lips. His question was something she never thought would happen for her with her life in Covaire. Destined to die a lonely, old human in a city of supernaturals, “I never thought…this wasn’t something I ever thought I could have,” she said softly, watching him barely put the finger on her, “How can you be sure you won’t get tired of me,” her fears that had been nearly washed away since he came back were creeping on the surface, “What if you want to go back?”
Jeremiel could stand there and watch the way she crumbled in front of him. He would get similar reenactments like this after they had sex. He could feel her feelings shift in another direction. There was doubt swirling in her. He was sure Cassandra had accepted Covaire to be the place she would die. He would have kept her there with him, but they were in a different situation now. “Do you want this?” His eyes flickered from hers down to the ring. “How am I sure you won’t get tired of me?” She was able to leave on her own, he would let her go if that is what she wanted. “I have no reason to go back.”

The gift

Cassie felt bad for bringing Mika up, but there was little to ease her about Jere wanting a fellow killer alongside him. Maybe with time, it would be easy for her but Cassie killed before it was never a feeling she wanted to have again. She shook from her thoughts to see her wolf going upstairs. Slightly concerned for what he was up to, something picked at her mind but surely it wasn’t what was about to happen.
She bit her lip as he appeared again, her blue eyes didn’t leave his face  as he spoke. There was no doubt she was shaking but with what emotion it was hard to decide. The word came from him lips with such ease and her eyes fell to the ring in his hand. Her mouth dropped open slightly and she could feel her heart slam against her chest, “Oh my God….” she whispered. It was a rarity for her to be speechless but she couldn’t see to form any other words in that moment.
ImageImage
It was a rarity to see Cassandra speechless. A kodak moment at its finest. He could hear the rapid beating of her heart beat drumming against his ears. He couldn’t deny the connection he felt for her the first day he ran into her at the park. “If you want me to turn you Cassandra, this will be the only condition I will do it.” He took her left hand, the ring resting on the first knuckle of her ring finger. He wouldn’t slide in on her until she gave him her answer. “Will you marry me?”

The gift

Cassie had thought up several ways this would go. Anger was at the top of her list, but apparently she was wrong, “I’m afraid to ask what that is,” she said cautiously, her eyes going from his eyes down to the watch in his hand, “I’m no killer. I’m not Mika so you will have to settle for whatever I can offer,” though she hid it will, just saying her best friends name caused the human’s heart to ache.
Letting out a slow breath, Cassie placed her hand over his that held the gift. She had the chance to spend centuries with him. To become one of the creatures she once feared, “What do I need to do?” she finally spoke again, her eyes locked with his.
ImageImage
He wasn’t sure how Cassandra would take to what he would say. His fingers clasped around the watch and ran the pad of this thumb across it. “I know you are no killer. I am would never compare you to Mika.” Though there was a deep part of him that missed the his huntress. He only hoped she was safe, where ever she was.

He took a look at Cassandra, before he pulled away and headed upstairs. There was only one way to find out what she would say, or do. He would be able to feel her reaction no matter how she tried to hide it. He returned a couple minutes later with someone else in his hand. Jeremiel stood in front of the blonde. “Cassandra Blake, if you wish to become a wolf and spend centuries with me, you will have to marry me.” He opened his hand revealing a ring.

The gift

She sighed and rolled her eyes, “But I wanted to and I did so,” Cassie bit her lip, “There is more to this than just buying you something. I wanted to wait for Christmas but I just….” another sigh slipped from her lips and she could feel the emotions begin to take over. Clearing her throat she smiled, looking at him though glassy eyes, “There is only so much I could think of to express my gratitude. And to apologize for not appreciating you granting me freedom at the beginning of all this.”
Cassie took it upon herself to pull off the ribbon and open the box. Lifting the object out, she held it out for him to see (x). “Time is our only enemy now. I’m mortal and you will have to watch me grow older and eventually die but….” her voice shook, “If I give you all of me. Ask you to change me, we…we won’t have to worry about that anymore.”
ImageImage
Jeremiel knew better than to argue with Cassandra. She was strong willed and would defy anything and everything he asked her. “Christmas is only a coupe weeks away. You can still wait.” By the way she was acting, he could tell this was something important. A brow raised when she started to speak, touched by her words, he was wondering where exactly this was going. “I finally get a thank you. I was wondering if I would ever get that one day.” He teased.

The blonde wolf watched the human opened the box. With his eyes gazing down at the watch, he knew what she was going to say next. There were two wolves, and there was only one of them in the house that was. Azure hues flickered from her to the watch and back. Strong fingers closed around the object. He had thought many times to change her. He couldn’t in Covaire. He could now. “There is only one way I will change you Cassandra.”

The gift

Cassie had bought the gift planning to give it to Jeremiel for Christmas. But that was still several weeks away and she simply couldn’t handle having the thing hidden away another day. The question that went along with it was what made her the most antsy. Cassie had finally worked up the courage to take care of it once and for all.
Once he got home later that day, the sun was close to setting. She sat at the kitchen table, the small box in front of her with a green ribbon wrapped around it. Her fingers tapped against the large wood surface and she smiled up at him when he entered the kitchen, “Hello handsome,” she stood and snatched the box, making her way over, “I missed you,” she leaned up and pressed a kiss to his lips. Pulling back, she held out the gift, “This, my good sir, is for you.”
@jeremiel-boese

Jeremiel had to switch a lot of business around since moving back to Germany. He tried to keep people away from this location, it was private for him. However, things change. The one thing he had done is found a building where his business could work. The wolf had spent many hours. Not that he was avoiding Cassandra, he wanted to make sure everything was taken care of before he could relax a little more.

He came through the house later than he expected. He wanted to keep a routine with her that would be constant. Jere walked into the kitchen and found her sitting at the table. “Hello beautiful.” He commented back, watching her stand up. There was something in her hand that intrigued him. “I missed you too.” He returned the kiss, letting his eyes fall on the box. “What did you get me? He took it from her. “You didn’t have to get my anything.”

“No, not that unpacking,” she let out a soft laugh and led him toward the bedroom, her hand still in his, “You saw my text,” she said quietly as they reached the door frame, “I….was upset and thought if I up and left,” she sighed and turned to him, “Being here just….it’s weird, it’s like not having you here messes up God’s plan or fate,” she shrugged a shoulder, “maybe a mixture of both,” Cassie grew up with a faith in God but it was damaged quite  bit over her time in Covaire.
“I’ll get all of this cleaned up and put away. You can get some lunch made,” she wrapped her arms around his neck, unable to resist the urge to kiss him. The blonde was half tempted to strip down, knowing the wolf would be hard pressed to resist a true welcome home greeting, but that could wait. Cassie pulled away from the kiss, biting on her bottom lip just slightly before turning to the bed to unpack the few things that had made it into the suitcase. She glanced over her shoulder at him, still having a hard time believing he was here.
It took him a second to remember what she was doing earlier. “You really did have things packed to come back to Covaire?” Jere should have known how stubborn Cassandra was. “You thought if you came back to Covaire things would have been different? What if they would have put you back in the Chateau Cassandra?” His fingers combed through blonde locks. She hadn’t come back to the city. There were both in Germany and he wouldn’t have to worry about that kind of fate. “God’s plan or fate?” He quipped a brow at her. “Well I am here now. There is nothing to worry about.”

He nodded his head at her. “Well then, you can go upstairs and I will make us a small lunch. See what you have in the fridge. You have been making sure you ate properly?” He narrowed his eyes at her. He watched her disappear upstairs, giving her a soft smile when she looked back at him. He moved his cases at the bottom of the stairs, where he would deal with them later. Instead, he sauntered into the kitchen to make them both something to eat.

It was something to pass the time and Cassie had waited a long time to be able to learn something new. Besides, it made shopping much easier, “I figured it best I learn after a mix up at the market resulting in me coming home with ten bags of potatoes,” she said with a smile, a blush of red spreading across her cheeks. Cassie sighed and closed her eyes, enjoying the heat that radiated from him, “I’ve only learned a little, though. Now you can help,” she pressed a kiss to the corner of his mouth.
The blonde finally realized they were still standing by the door. A hand ran through her blonde curls as she stepped back, “I suppose I should unpack that suitcase I have sitting on the bed,” her hand slipped through his, “And help you unpack as well.”
He laughed and found himself leaving his arms wrapped around the blonde. He wanted to keep her close. Have her scent over him, and him over hers. Not that she would be able to smell how good they were mixed together. “Well you will have me now to help with the translation. I could even give you the lessons now instead of the person I hired.” He turned his lips to catch her lips against his.

Jeremiel let her step back and look at his luggage. “You haven’t unpacked yet? Where have you been sleeping.” He had expected her to be sleeping in his bed. “The unpacking can wait until later. Why don’t I make us something to eat for lunch. We can go for a walk after.”

A soft moan sounded in her throat as he pulled her against him. She knew that she had missed him but to actually feel him again was nearly indescribable. For Cassie to be speechless….well it was rare. Everything he said was true. It was what she wanted, especially after he showed back up when she never expected him to leave the place she had spent the last four years of her life.
Cassie pressed her forehead to his chest and all of it finally hit her, “ Ich vermisse dich so sehr,” she whispered before looking up at the wolf. Her blue eyes were still wet but she finally smiled at him, “Ich liebe dich auch,” her hands found themselves on his neck, her lips finding his for a more passionate kiss this time. She had learned those words not knowing or believe she would be able to say them to him.
There was an odd silence in the air and Jeremiel couldn’t help but smirk. He had finally shut the blonde up. That was a rare occasion and he would have to remember this for future use. With the silence that lingered between them, it allowed him to take in her beauty. This was what he wanted. It wasn’t something he expected to find ever again. Once he left his wife and son, happiness and a sense of home was something long forgotten.

He was shocked to learn she was actually going through with the German classes. He figured she would drop them in a short period of time. The words she uttered shocked him. He had waited a long time to hear her say them. The tension that would always engulf them back in Covaire and when he finally had his collar around her was a different feeling than this very moment. Nothing would ever top it. He smiled against her mouth. “Dann bin ich zu Hause willkommen.” It felt nice talking his mother tongue.

It was difficult for Cassie not to look at him. This was what she wanted. Him to come back, but it didn’t help the self doubt. She had left Covaire with a master before, only to be shipped back and thrown into a cell a few months later. But this was different. Cassie was no longer a slave. As she watched the driver bring in the bags, the human counted them. Only five.
Her eyes were finally lifted up enough to see thee door shut. She sighed and ran a hand through her blonde curls. A knot formed in her throat and she tried like hell to keep her emotions at bay. This was what she had hoped for but didn’t think would ever come. He wanted her. Only her. Jeremiel had left Covaire behind. Every thing and everyone behind to be with her. She stepped up to him, her eyes still cast down at his final question. Placing her hands on his chest, she finally looked up to lock her eyes with his, though tears pooled in hers, “Hello,” she whispered, moving up to her tip toes to press a soft kiss to his lips before pulling back, her heels touching the cold floor again.
ImageImage
Jeremiel could feel the self doubt that surged off Cassandra. He could tell she was struggling with her new freedom. That there was this small part of her that missed being a slave. He also knew, that in time, this feeling would fade away and she would want to explore the world around her.

He wasn’t sure if she was putting it together, that he had no intention of leaving. He had left the city for good and would now be here with her. Jere still wondered if she would say those three words back to him, since she so kindly threw it in his face. He didn’t move when she touched him. He did however, return the chaste kiss and smiled when she greeted him properly. “There is no need to cry.” His thumb brushed underneath one eye to wipe away the tear. “This is what you wanted right? Me back here.” His arm coiled around her waist and pulled her body flush against his. “You wanted us? No collar or bracelet. This is of your free choice Cassandra. Do you want to spend however long we have together?”
