lgbttlc week: platonic ships/solidarity 

Kai frowned at her. “Who are you?” She brightened. “Oh, I’m Iko! You may not remember me, but we met at the market that day you brought in the android, only I was about this tall”–she held her hand at hip height–“and shaped kind of like an enormous pear, and significantly more pale.”

Day 6 for @lgbttlcweek Solidarity/platonic relationships.

If Cress was a lesbian, I like to think that her and gay Kai are best friends. And bi Thorne would also become friends with Cress(only because Kai is his partner)

Cress and Peony au

Day 5 for @lgbttlcweek Your lgbt ship in an alternate universe. OooooOoo.

Cress and Peony meet online. They were both playing Attack of the Stars(an online role play game) and they both noticed each other’s character. They started talking through the game. That didn’t work out very well so they exchanged numbers. Both Cress and Peony knew that whoever they were talking to could be a 50 year old man. But Cress thought that Peony was interesting. Little did she know it went both ways. They start texting. At first, mainly Attack of the Stars about once a week. Then it turns into every couple days. Before they know it, they are texting every day! And of course they find out that the opposite person is not a man. Peony send pictures first. Cress doesn’t know what to do. She just stares at the cute Asian girl while Peony waits for her response. Cress eventually snaps out of it and sends her own face. Now there are two gawking girls. Peony wants to meet Cress. Cress doesn’t know what to do. Of course she wants to meet Peony but given her circumstances, she can’t. She’s locked away in her bedroom by her mom. There is a convention and Attack of the Stars has a panel there. Peony and Cress are both going but neither of them mention it in case the other has financial problems that they are embarrassed about. Cress sneaks out with her saved up money to go to New Beijing. Peony just walks down the street. Then, they see each other and time stops. Cress is shy torwards Peony now, she’s even more beautiful in person. Peony runs up to Cress and hugs her tightly. They separate a minute later. “Peony, I think I’m in love with you” Cress murmurs. An eyebrow shot up. She counts six beats of her crushes heart before, suddenly, Peony laughs. “Don’t tell me it took you two whole months to realize that. I must be losing my touch.”

Then they make out for a while in the convention before security kicks them out.

au where Cress hosts a late night radio show and Cinder, often awake at strange hours because of her job, makes it a habit to listen

Cress, a mermaid bored with her life in the undersea kingdom of Luna, yearns for adventure. Curious about the human world, she collects artifacts she finds from sunken ships. 

One night, on the ocean surface, Cress spots a woman on an anchored ship and is immediately drawn to her. The woman happens to be Lihn Cinder, empress of the coastal kingdom of New Beijing, and the kingdom’s mechanic.

Then, a storm causes Cinder to be thrown overboard. Cress swims quickly to save her and drags her back to shore, distractedly singing Cinder a lullaby but leaves when she starts to regain consciousness, and the empress is fascinated by the memory of her rescuer’s voice. 

Cress, determined to see Cinder again, makes a deal with the sea witch, Sybil Mira. In exchange for being turned into a human, Cress gives up her voice, with the caveat of obtaining ‘true love’s kiss’ in three days. 

Cinder finds Cress on the beach, unaware of who she really is. They spend the next few days together, bonding and slowly falling in love, until Sybil intervenes with plans of her own…
