my hand slipped
This was recorded by the Portsmouth Sinfonia in an experiment where all the members of the orchestra would swap instruments with each other and attempt to play them to the best of their ability.
favorite things about this
- literally all the brass starts to get the hang of it and then the crescendos happen and everyone is like FUCK FUCK FUCK??? FUCK. JUST. BLOW RLY HARD.
- the strings are lazy but also the same. like u can tell a lot of the ppl w/ the stringed instruments may already basically know how to play stringed instruments. like there’s definitely a section at the beginning where you hear a good portion going “oh yeah this is like. a smaller/bigger version of what i do.”
- all you hear of any woodwinds is just “pffffttt??? pFFFTTTT???? PFFFFFTTTT I SAID PFFFFTTTT!!!!!” bc woodwinds are fucking HARD and you hear after like the first crescendo half of them just give up. they give up. they’re done. fuck this it tastes weird and my lips hurt.
- that trumpet. that person is fucking TRYING man they fucking GOT this. they may not have figured out notes but they figured out LOUD and they GOT this.
The Ultimate Battle Begins
Verdi is armed and dangerous
Verdi is scaring me

of course he would
Gershwin please there’s a battle going on
THERE’S A BATTLE GOING ON GUYS

BACH’S OKAY NOW
Verdi is Love and Hate
Bach continues his descent into violence. Verdi proves himself a cunning and dangerous foe
A Titan Falls
From the darkness appears a victor at last

Tfw you get your schedule for next year and orchestra isn't listed at ALL and the stupid thing taking up its place in the fifth period spot is a class you never signed up for anyway (jc I don't need to take forensics if I don't plan on making that my career) but your mom thinks it's going to be all low key law and order and refuses to let you drop it without a fight.

team instinct= violas
be careful of team instinct, though. most of the time they’re just out catching weedles and pidgeys, but every now and then, one of them with a cp 2500 dragonite decides to take over a gym all by themselves
watch out for the violas
leave the name of your instrument in the tags!
okay tumblr I need you to help me with an experiment
my hypothesis is that musicians give their instruments really terrible names and I need to know how accurate this is
please help me
for science

I love how every musician knows exactly what this is and what it means
I hate this
I haven’t properly played my flute in two years and I still understand this
I love how this is still circulating, and that it’s not just musicians that reblog this. 90% of children had to endure this torture
I just sung it in my head and now I’m consumed with rage
it’s the musical notes for the song “hot cross buns” which is a very easy song for beginner musicians.
We had to play this on the recorder in Year 2. As a class. In canon :(
@tacobell-pachelbel-official How to piss off everyone at once. ^^
