Underswap - an water themed underground with compassion being the theme of it

Underfell - a more rocky themed underground with trust being the theme of it

Swapfell - also water themed but more treacherous with reliance being the theme of it

Fellswap - rocky and ice themed underground with kindness and secrets being the theme of it

Horrortale - same setting as undertale but more nature overgrowth. set in a pacifist ending timeline but frisk and flowey couldn't break the barrier. healing is the theme of it

Silly goofy AUs involving all skelebros (and sonas of course I can't forget)

Mermaid Pirate AU - this is like a two-three year old AU but it holds a special place in my heart because of the friends and memories i made from it. but it's full of political intrigue, pirate shenanigans, powerful, ancient magic all around a world where the world is transitioning into something of an industrialized world

Island AU - deeply inspired by Coral Island (that one farming sim where you do farming on an island), monsters and humans live on an island and begin to make efforts to clean up and save their home from, you guessed it, capitalism. but also there's some secrets about the place

Westward AU - a fusion AU of pirates, samurai, cowboy, some mafia, and farmtale all in a modern setting because fusion AUs now have me in a chokehold for some reason. but anyways, the story is that a lot of interested parties have a peculiar intrigue towards a small, sleepy town that holds a secret. and you (or my sona) are just a farmer who is about to get sucked into it

Spider-Man AU - i mean. this is straightforward. but imagine my sona/Papyrus/Sans as spider-man. despite the simplicity, it still plagues me because i love spider-man

Mafia AU - also straightforward but with a twist where not all characters are in a mafia and it's also set in a modern setting

Band AU - let me just have a rockstar papyrus please do not perceive me—

Dancetale - also pretty straightforward. might need to think a little more deeply on it

Outertale - you ever think they are living on a planet or a space station, and do you ever think of different plant life and creatures and how monsters might develop different things and—

Dragon AU - ............................... they are dragons and no i totally didn't make this au because i really like dragons—

Avatar AU - also straightforward. have yet to decide whether it loosely follows last airbender or korra or just make my own plot. have you noticed this trend where i just combine a lot of my favorite things?

Ghost Hunters AU - listen i hate ghosts and horror and thrillers and suspense but i also love the hijinks of scooby doo and really like mystery skulls animated so imagine this just being scooby doo themed

Cyber/Neontale - yes................ the pretty vibrant colors got to me but also i just really like the theme of fighting against the man. also papyrus (pyrus) in this is a gamer/hacker and sans (lux) is a leader of a resistance group and he has the doc ock arms

Papyrus is/was Gaster AU - straightforward and based on a theory. have yet to develop the ideas and story but i had designs

Outcodes - some are canon adjacent but also i have made variations to them and also made other characters as outcodes because i just want to flavor up the multiverse

Okay, so underswap is based on those caves with water in them but your questions about like shallows and deep ocean is making me think more for both that AU and swapfell

But basically in underswap, a lot of the places are either surrounded by water, above it or in it! The New Home equivalent has this large waterfall that just continues to fall down to the underground. There's a flood season though there's sometimes flood warnings throughout the year. There's higher places monsters have built to protect themselves from the floods which then turned into towns! Some have made towns in the water especially if they can live in it easily. There's also a dome down there so monsters above the water can venture down and talk and hang out with underwater dwellers.

Swapfell might need some tinkering still but I imagine there could be some intense weather/environment conditions in different parts of the underground. Like maybe there's one part where there's no water, another's flooded or the water level is rising, and another where it's either super snowy/rainy or it feels like a sauna. But the deep ocean part is getting me thinking... I'll get back to you on it

okay you know what i was gonna develop more on the aus but i must explain my loosey goosey outcodes because just saying outcodes isn't enough

Ink Sans, Papyrus, Undyne - yes i love this trio they're my fav (to me you don't know them more yet). you have "gotta stick to the script!" ink, heroic "whoopsie daisy! actually let me modify the canon because this doesn't bode well!" coal (ink papyrus) and "please i just want to figure out whats wrong with me and why my magics funky" sumi (inktale undyne)

Error Sans, Papyrus, Alphys - actually chaotic trio. they are literally "what if we try this?" science/coding trio but at a scale where it impacts others. error is just trying to enjoy his telenovela and "borrowed" food but ends up having to babysit "can we keep them?" pascal (error papyrus) and "i will set the multiverse ablaze if i dont find my home universe" pixel (error alphys)

Nightmare and Dream - oh yeah they're still fighting each other. they're kind of gods. close to divinity yet not. will think more on how i'm changing their story but will be tasty

Phantom and Muse (nightmare and dream but make them papyri) - kind of gods? maybe gods? they take care of your dreams and nightmares. could they also possibly grant you wishes based on your desires? maybe at a cost.

Hook (killer sans) - loose cannon, why is he a detective? why is he a bounty hunter too??? who left him in charge??? princess is his impulse control (his cat). also flirty with his negative rizz as my friend said once about him

Smoke (dust sans) - he is quiet, aloof and a jerk. still works for sable (nightmare sans). seen talking to himself. likes playing tricks and also criticizes on how sloppy other merciless, relentless killers are.

Xtale skelebros - they just locked up their dad in their home universe and is trying to figure out how to deal with him and also trying to make sure whatever their dad did doesn't happen in other universes. they are also trying to get along again

okay i forgot there's like info i had on them i posted maybe a month or two ago? lololol anyways here's some small info on them and others but there's also some other characters in there i didn't talk about like

Mercenary skelebros - multiverse bounty hunting skelebros out to steal your heart... but also you if you got up into some multiverse shenanigans

Slash - OH MY GOD WHY DID I MAKE HIM he's just a trickster deity papyrus who also has his own au too but he loves dimension hopping to either enable someone's chaos or start up some chaos

The Wandering Void - i'll have more info on it but like this is supposed to be an oc based on nightmare sans but then i was like "what if............ make it an oc and have it just go around to eat aus that got abandoned" and honestly so juicy of me to think of that

Also obsessed with this tag. I didn't consider the different soul traits for the other undergrounds until I was looking into canon underfell and ts!underswap's route names! Like ooooooggggghhhhhh it makes me obsessed how they keep the feel of undertale but decide to tackle different themes based on the changes of the world. I mean, I am going to attempt to explore those themes through my own storytelling but I hope it's something that feels like undertale with my own twist while also having fun with it! Planning to workshop it more but:

undertale - determination/control (the latter's based on a theory floating around that the red soul may mean control rather than determination since everyone's got determination. but thought i would put in there because it does have a theme about control!)

underswap - compassion (like a mix of determination and patience)

underfell - trust (wrow integrity)

swapfell - reliance (persevering despite the obstacles but sometimes you need people to help)

fellswap - kindness/secrets (listen i may or may not have slipped in my love for mysterious secrets buried by a person or group of people i eat that shut upppppppppp also there's no yellow so imagine secrets in yellow)

horrortale - healing/bravery
