I am not great at finishing multi-chapter fics, which is what I want to recommend here. A couple are done, so I’ll mark those clearly. And many of my others aren’t “done” but they’re not hanging on cliffhangers, if that makes sense. But I also have a lot of one-off fics, if you’d rather read something to the point and complete. Anywho, here are my favorites.
One of my oldest fics that went from a lame snippet to a fully fleshed-out idea and got more serious as I wrote it. I probably need to go back and rewrite the first couple chapters. Take the show Suits, make it harringrove. That’s the idea here; Billy and Steve but make them powerful, rich and always in sexy, expensive clothes. In this fic, Billy is out and takes shit from no one, which I enjoy. Billy is often the more complicated part of this pair and he’s so confident in this, it’s a blast to write.
This is my favorite story to write and reread I won’t lie because it’s demented au fun. Billy as a gym teacher is hilariously on point. Very Mr. Woodcock to start. Steve is a doormat art teacher, also funny as hell to me. The two of them collide and the sexual tension is delicious. Dustin is insane, Max knows everything. It just works for their characters so much.
This is the first thing I ever wrote for the fandom so it’s got a special place in my heart. This fic picks up right after ST2 and I finished it before ST3 so there’s no mall or monsters, just two boys confronting chemistry they can’t ignore. It’s angsty and somehow sweet too.
I love a good monster, and this is my finished monster au. I love this one and sometimes I write sequel parts but they never see the light of day. Steve is a fledgling vampire and Billy is his first victim. He’s also thankfully a werewolf so he doesn’t die when Steve takes far too much that first time. It only gets better from there.
This one is a series; I don’t know why I wrote it that way. Billy and Steve are motogp riders, competitive as fuck and also the only Americans so there’s a lot of pressure between them to be the best. In the midst of that they’re finally confronting the chemistry that makes them butt heads on the track.
