For this @elriel-month prompt, I wanted to combine two of my favorite fictional worlds by having Azriel and Elain as Hogwarts students stealing away together for a private moment in between classes.
After finding out that Sarah herself said Azriel would be a Ravenclaw and Elain would be a Hufflepuff if they were sorted into Hogwarts houses, I knew that this was a childhood/adult mashup opportunity I just couldn’t pass up!

We know Azriel is still searching for where he truly belongs, and we believe he will find his ‘home’ with Elain—within her soft touch and warmth. For today’s prompt, Steph and I thought it would be wonderful to showcase the trope ‘home is where the heart is’ and this piece by Olivia perfectly captures that feeling. Thank you, Olivia, for bringing this vision to life, it is everything we could’ve dreamed of and more!

Contained only by the patches of power he'd slapped on it. Help-he needed a healer immediately. .. Nesta let out a sob at the sight of Elain, still in Ariel's arms. ..Rhys lunged for Azriel, taking Elain from him and gently setting my sister down. Azriel rasped, swaying on his feet, "We need Helion to get these chains off her." Yet Elain didn't seem to notice them as she rose up on her toes and kissed the shadowsinger's cheek."

There is so much to love about this scene: Azriel cradling Elain to himself, Elain making no move to leave his arms, Ariel's only concern being Elain despite his own wounds, the two of them having to be physically separated by Rhys, and then Elain giving Azriel the one and only kiss he has received in the series. This whole scene had such romantic undertones and further cemented the relationship that has been developing between Elain and Azriel.

Team boys for the CC beach ball match.
Dropping my latest Sketch-a-Wish voted on by my lovely patreon members for May! Featuring Lowe and Misery from BRIDE by @alihazelwood! I remember way too late into this that werewolves have green blood, so it was a bit disconcerting for me to make Lowe's subsurface scattering green hued. I swathed the entire image in a pink filter to make me feel better about it. Also, realizing illustrating bathtub scenes are great when you don't have to go deep diving for clothing descriptions!
Had so much fun making this quick study of Madame X by John Singer Sargen. I've honestly been a little art blocked lately. I'll be at Dokomi at the end of June and I don't think I've ever spent this much time not drawing for myself. Making this study and not worrying about the outcome was a joy! I hope you like it ^^
