Pairing: Sakaeguchi Yuuto & Suyama Shouji

Summary:  verb. Successfully overcome (a problem or weakness); overcome and take control of (a place or people)

The village is everything Suyama has ever known. In his eyes, it’s beautiful and perfect. He loves everything about it, but maybe that’s because he doesn’t remember much from his life before here. His parents barely talk about it - their focus on the here and now.

What Suyama does remember is his father being away for weeks and weeks when he was younger. He remembers missing him everyday and promising every time he left that he would protect his mom while his dad was away. He remembers waiting and watching out the window for the telltale lantern in the distance signaling his father’s return.

But that’s about it.

So as he sits atop the grassy hill on the outskirts of the village, he smiles. This is what he knows. He knows the fertile crops where his mother and father often help in the fields. He knows the dense forests where the wild animals live and hunters roam to bring the village meat and pelts. He knows the white caps of the mountains in the distance melting into rivers that feed the earth around him.

Hey @oofurishipweeks is it too late to submit this? I tried to finish by the end of August but it’s Harry Potter weekend and I got distracted… :)

from that one post from years ago and ABSOLUTELY a line mizutani would use on haruna.  why does he still pull out these lines even tho theyve been dating for years? pizzazz. absolutely the highlights of harunas weeks

this is re that old hanakanou mermaid au i did 2 years ago but!! first meeting. hanai definitely did not sign up for fish at the docks to find mermaids but yknow life throws curveballs

Day 6 Prompt: Forgiveness - noun. the action or process of forgiving or being forgiven.

Summary: Sometimes help takes form in the most unlikely places and people.

“You should go talk to someone.”

That’s what one of his sisters had said when Hanai spoke with her about his worries, doubts, and fears. “It’s not healthy and it’s not fair to either of you.” He had agreed with her and she told him she’d help him find someone, but no matter the person, he had found an excuse as to why they weren’t right. “I can’t help you if you’re not willing to try.”

I’m determined to finish these prompts even if they’re late. I love these ship weeks and I wanna contribute :) (also another loose interpretation LOL)

Tap! Tap! Tap!

His eyes roam over the page of notes. Words and sentences of various subjects dot the page, beginning as neat and tidy characters and slowly declining into messy and unfinished lines. He can’t even read half of it as the words go on. He’s also 100% sure that the lines that drag down the page are from him falling asleep in the middle of class.

Take the Risk

For Day 4 of tajihana ship week held for @oofurishipweeks using the prompt Risk - noun/verb. a situation involving exposure to danger; expose (someone or something valued) to danger, harm, or loss.

TW: slight internalized homophobia (he’s working through it)

Hanai takes risks. He takes risks during each game he plays. Every at bat he has to take a chance on the pitches thrown his way. It’s why he’s keenly aware that if he never takes the risk, he might never succeed or get the outcome he wants.

He knows this. He knows this to his very core. It’s probably written straight into his DNA at this point. Yet sometimes the fear sinks its claws so deep that taking the first step toward that chance becomes so difficult you can hardly breathe. It’s debilitating as your body freezes and you know what you should be doing but just can’t.
