My favourite bonfire in Dark Souls 1 is the one in the Anor Londo cathedral where you find Solaire. There was something real nice about seeing him there after dying or just running back to safety from the Silver Knights. Kinda gave me a homely feeling in a way.

When I went back to Firelink Shrine and then came back to Anor Londo, when I went to that bonfire and didn’t see Solaire there anymore I felt proper sad as well as a strange kind of loneliness.

Anyway, I really felt like doing a lil bonfire animation so here it is 🔥

Heavily considering doing an animated gif of Solaire

Been feeling like animating my favourite album of the year, lately. Mirage by Gaerea is such a solid album from the first to the very last track, and it has been blasting my ears on my way to work (and while I work) for months now from my little mp3 player (that’s more than 10 years old and still well alive and kicking).

They were also my favourite act at Bloodstock this year, and I’m glad to see they are getting the attention and success they deserve.

Ruben did see that arrow coming. He only did not expect it to come from the love of his life.

Andrea’s body was locked in a cell at the bottom of the highest tower of the kingdom, and is now condemned to roam around as a floating head. Although Andrea had the head cut off, the vampire will only truly die once the heart is stabbed with a sacred stake. Andrea has no idea who did this; the only goal now is to find the perpetrator, the key to the cell and be reunited with the vampiric body.

Bone Head #6 and the last one!

The Undead Butcher was once a proud knight who went on a mission to kill a ferocious monster that terrorised countless villages in the kingdom. One day, the knight disappeared and so did the monster. 20 years later, the knight was seen, riddled with madness, carrying on with the exact same deeds as the monster. His skin had turned grey, his wounds wouldn’t heal, but he was still, somehow, well alive and strong. One day a brave soldier came forth and cut the Undead Butcher’s head off. Problem is, by touching the Undead Butcher’s blood, the brave soldier became Undead himself, and by doing so the curse was perpetuated. Will this new Undead meet the same fate?

This is Oscar the Goblin. He’s a lone traveler, and feels lonely very often. Whenever that happens and gets the chance, he summons his Gibson guitar with his amp and shreds his loneliness away in the forest. (He mostly plays speed metal, and his favourite band is Hellripper)

Leonor was one of the nursing nuns who tended to the wounds of knights and soldiers. She fell in love with one particular knight, and after his departure from the convent, she decided to run away, give up her faith and join him. Someone at the convent was not happy though, and months later Leonor was murdered, her body gone. Now, some say she has been roaming around the woods, terrifying the villagers and looking for revenge.

Baltazar wrote a song about Satan. More specifically a sacrificial ritual. He thought it was good fun, didn't take it seriously. It's only a myth, right? On the night his band delivered the song on stage, Baltazar realised singing about Satan was no joke - a portal opened, bringing Satan himself on stage. Everyone cheered, bringing their horns up 🤘 Satan had brought a badass sword from his satanic dimension and upon laying his eyes on the whole situation, Baltazar couldn't handle it - he had an anxiety attack so intense that it ultimately led to his demise, right before the sword made his head fly. I think the crowd also freaked out a little bit after that.

Bone Head #7 (Was missing doing these, had to go back to it)

Heya, I won Northern Monk’s Homebrew Heroes Art competition, and the can with my knight artwork is finally out on sale. So good to see it printed on a can with such good quality and finish - and also really happy to see it represent such an excellent beer.

Northern Monk were kind enough to let me use their promo pictures for me to post. Check out their website if you’r into great tasting beers! https://www.northernmonk.com/

If you feel like looking at my sketches and inspirations for this, you can check my website here https://www.marta-dias.art/drawing/squeeze-the-day

Cheers! 🍻

Hello, I made this short animation for @rumpuslr’s Ident series. It took me about 2 years, on and off, sometimes off work and sometimes during work hours. Clean up is what took the longest - it very nearly broke my back. Think it was worth it though because I’m pretty proud of this (still got to look after ourselves and not sit down for too many hours straight, though)

There are some bits in it I am quite not happy yet, but they are mostly some clean up mistakes. Better to have something finished than perfect though; While being a student it’s easy to claim to be a perfectionist because by then we don’t have much experience yet and are not aware of how long/how much work the things we want to do actually take.

If you’d like to check out some pre-production work either from Rumpus’s website or mine, here are the links:
