okay but imagine the mortal parents of the seasonal campers that sent their children to camp that summer knowing their child would be safe there only to find out they were killed in the battle of manhattan. imagine being a mother or father of that child, finding out that your child was supposed to return home at the end of the summer but that they would never because they died in a war the parents didn’t know they were going to be a part of.
