PSA: Tumblr/Wordpress is preparing to start selling our user data to Midjourney and OpenAI.

you have to MANUALLY opt out of it as well.

to opt out on desktop, click your blog ➡️ blog settings ➡️ scroll til you see visibility options and it’ll be the last option to toggle.

to opt out on mobile, click your blog ➡️ scroll then click visibility ➡️ toggle opt out option.

if you’ve already opted out of showing up in google searches, it’s preselected for you. but you also have to opt out for each blog you own separately, so if you’d like to prevent AI scraping your blog i’d really recommend taking the time to opt out. (source)

More of the fish 'rents since everyone seems to enjoy them

I wanted to try drawing my take on Dorephan, but keep a lot of his canon shapes because I find them so unique and interesting! Being originally from an oceanic Zora clan far from shore, he isn't super equipped to live on the land 100% of the time. His fins and head-tail are much larger than the Zora in the Hyrule Domain, and his feet are more flipper like. He is FAR more equipped for swimming but he manages a life primarily on land, for love.

I'm still messing around with Solaile's design and I'm not sure if this will be it's final rendition. I like the idea of her having fins that resemble a big, regal cape, but will flare out almost like wings for extra expression (taking inspiration from the way Lulu's fins move in Majora's Mask). I also like the idea that royal Zora will just naturally grow bigger than their common counterparts, so even though she's short in comparison to Dorephan, she's still BIG.

I'm kinda curious, in your BaliGHTS AU what is the relationship between Wonderworld and the Night Dimension?

That's a great question, and one I have yet to fully settle on!

How I see it; the Night Dimension and Wonderworld are aware of each other, but don't necessarily know what goes on in either space. Wizeman knows of Maestros (and sees them as a powerful threat), and Balan knows enough about Nightmaren to be wary of them -or at least, the tales of them essentially being a kind of sleep paralysis demon. Their respective dimensions don't intersect however, so theres less likely a chance that individuals will accidentally find their way into the opposing universe. It can happen, but it takes powerful magic to do so.

Both dimensions share a connective universe however, which is where humans exist!

In the end, both the Night Dimension and Wonderworld become far more open to each other, and actively work together to break down those boundaries between their dimensions -especially after the fall of Wizeman. Balan begins to offer a lot of therapy avenues to Nightmaren who need it. And boy howdy, do some need it.

It's been over a year since my DnD group started our Zelda campaign, and I wanted to celebrate by updating all the art for the player characters (and one NPC who we dragged along for the ride). Our DM has created an entire universe worth of unique lore that draws on so many of the Zelda titles, It's been so much fun and I can't wait to see where the story goes next!

A lot of people seemed to like the design I did for Sidon and Mipha's buff mama, so I thought I'd add some things about her, and her relationship with Dorephan!

🌊 Her name was Solaile, which both follows the musical naming schemes of the Zora royal family (Do re, Mi fa, So la, Si do) and also is similar to the name Soleil in French, meaning the sun.

🌊 Dorephan married into her family and originally came from an oceanic Zora clan. You cannot look at that man's shapes and tell me he was originally built for land, he looks like he'd take one step and fall over. The name Dorephan is also one he adopted upon marrying into the family.

🌊 Queen Solaile was fearless and had a spitfire attitude, facing issues head on and even throwing herself into danger if it meant protecting her people. Where Dorephan is careful and calculated, she was proactive (and maybe a bit reckless). They balanced each other out extremely well. Dorephan misses that sense of balance she brought, and became even more cautious after she passed - esp over Mipha and Sidon.

🌊 She could 100% throw Dorephan around if she felt like it

I've always thought of Mipha and Sidon's mother being a whale shark who happened to be built like a brick shithouse. Sidon takes after her so much despite hardly remembering her - though he feels like he knows her a lot more through the stories Dorephan, Mipha and the rest of the Domain often told him about her.

I pray that Nintendo makes your Zoras a reality one day, they are beautiful and have a great origin story, it deserves to be made reality one day. It's just too perfect to waste. Maybe let you voice an important one if it did happen because that would be a great way to give you credit for such a fantastic idea.

Nintendo unveils a new Zora visiting the Domain and they have the most ungodly Australian accent ever

Considering that the Arctic Zora can wind their tails together with other Zora, how much “control” do they have over them? In game we really just see the head tails of Zora flop around, but can Arctic Zora move them like any other appendage?

Avatar

Not to the level of being as prehensile as another limb or something like an elephant's trunk - which was the main inspiration for the action, but they are certainly more flexible with their head tails than the ones of Zora's Domain. I see it as basically the difference between a shark's movement and a dolphin's movement. I like to think all Zora have involuntary motions with their head tails though (like happy wiggles or threat displays).

An Arctic Zora's lower tail however has significantly more control, with a lot more functionality to it. It's not just able to power them through the water; it's also used for things like balance when walking upright or sprinting on all fours, or for simple communication.

I wrestled with these for a week BUT, a bunch of lore for Arctic Zora. Can you tell I've been super into speculative biology lately

Arctic Zora (or 'Titans' as they're more commonly known) are a clan of Zora which separated from their mainland ancestors a very long time ago, heading north towards the polar caps. They exist beyond the Hyrule continent and are divided from their inland cousins via a huge sea, but you can find them on travels around the region. They earned the term 'Titan' due to their much larger and far more robust size in comparison to the Zora of Hyrule, and often stick to the colder climates where they are more comfortable and less likely to suffer heatstroke.

These are just a small portion of notes I have on them, and I'd like to do more lore pages in this style!
