In a lot of tribes (including mine, but I’m not sure about the Quileute) we have a ceremony and cut our hair when someone important to the community dies

And I think it would have been incredibly powerful if in New Moon, the whole pack had kept their hair long and normal up until Harry Clearwater died, and then the next time Bella saw them all their hair was short and Jacob briefly explained that they cut it to respect Harry.

Idk I just feel like that would’ve been a lot better than them just cutting their hair once they shift.
