Yes, there is good news for us conservatives out there. Here it is:
1. We lost the House to the Democrats and none of us are out in the streets burning cars, breaking windows, falling on our knees and yelling at the sky, crying like little babies who just had their milk bottle taken away, beating on doors, scratching like maniacs against the psyche ward doors, throwing rocks at cops buying their donuts, or basically acting like a bunch of morons. As usual, conservatives cut their losses and move on…like ADULTS.
2. There wasn’t a BLUE WAVE. With 41 Republican incumbents ‘retiring’, one would think the Democrats had a wide open avenue to go wild with wins. Didn’t happen. Here in Texas, Beto O’Rourke, which isn’t even his real name, couldn’t beat Ted Cruz, even though he had a seventy million dollar war chest! History repeated itself, as usual, where the power in the White House loses power in the House of Reps. So, what does that mean for the Dems? Not much. Here’s why.
3. Republicans gained seats in the Senate, firmly retaining power there. With Republicans holding the Senate, the House Dems can pass whatever they want, but it still has to be approved by the Senate. Fat Chance if it’s any tax increases or liberty stealing bills. If they impeach Trump, an impeachment trial is carried on in the Senate with Mike Pence as the president of that chamber. The Dems can impeach Trump all they want. Fat chance of success. Even if a House Dem bill passes the House and the Senate, Trump can veto it and send it back. It takes a super majority to override a presidential veto, so the Dems’ hands are cuffed behind their back. Let Pelosi have her gavel. She can use it to try and beat some common sense into her head.
4. Republicans still have the White House with Trump for two more years, at least, and now he can really drive the Dems crazy when he and his Senate won’t let them get anything done. This is how our government was set up by the founders. They didn’t want a government that was efficient. An efficient government is efficient at taking our rights, freedoms and liberties away, while taxing us to death at the same time.
5. The House has nothing to do with Judicial appointments. The conservative judicial Trump train will move along quite nicely now. With the additional seats gained in the Senate, the Dem Senators are toothless bulldogs. All bark and no bite. All we have to do now is wait for age to take its toll on Ginsberg and we will have a super majority of conservatives on the Supreme Court. As for federal and appeals court judges, let the confirmations of constitutionally minded appointments go full speed ahead.
Conclusion: Republicans control the Senate, the White House and the Supreme Court, along with many federal and appeals judges. The Dems control the least powerful branch of government, and that by a slim margin. There will now be ‘gridlock’, and I like it. The Dems will continue to foam at the mouth, bloviate, have spasmatic fits, and try to spin yesterday as great news for them. What happened was both bases were energized, and both bases won in their own way. But, no matter how you slice it, Republicans still have the scepter of power. As for the Dems, let them have their cake. But they will be kept from eating it.
Most of the people I’m seeing insist that we “GO VOTE” might as well finish the sentence with “…for the candidate I want to win who is a Democrat.”
I really don’t see what’s wrong with that? I mean yesterday I made a point of reblogging only the “go vote” posts that didn’t mention a party, but if you think it’s important that the Democrats win.. then I see nothing wrong with saying that people should vote for them.
You COMPLETELY missed my point. It’s about transparancy. If you want people to vote democrat, then just say so. Don’t be fake and passive aggressive about it.
You’re 100% right. It is just a passive aggressive way of saying go blue. Hence the follow up posts I’ve seen of people saying they literally hate anyone who didn’t vote. I think voting is important but im not going to manipulate anyone to do it. I’ll either stay quiet or try to earn their agreement with my opinion. Im not passively going to sly my desires into their thoughts so that they can assist in my hidden motives.

I was on my morning run and I saw a donald trump sign and it honestly felt like the equivalent of “you aren’t welcome here” like I ran faster to get off that block bc I felt like people would come out of their homes..

1) Anyone who openly advocates freedom of speech 2) Anyone who openly expresses concern about the unprecedented levels of immigration in modern Europe and elsewhere 3) Anyone who openly expresses concern about Islamic terrorism 4) Any of the 60,000,000 people who voted for Trump 5) Anyone who looks at you funny.
Punching any of the above obviously Hitlerian thugs is now to be considered a justified and moral act, and lynchings will be scheduled first monday of every month from whatever tree is nearest to your local university Starbucks.
We pledge this shall continue until we have purged these subhuman vermin from the face of the earth once and for all, and we can at last begin to build our thousand year reich safe space.

I don’t know whose house it happened at or even what year it happened. I don’t know if I got there before everyone else or after. I don’t know how I got there or how I got home over 8 miles away (at the age of 15).
My life time friend doesn’t remember any of this ( and the other 3 people I said were there testified under oath they don’t know anything about this).
I have a fear of flying , but have no problem jet-setting all over the world while on vacation. I’ve been on airplanes more in the past two months than most people in a year, but my fear is completely legit.
I don’t know who paid for my hotel and polygraph test( the afternoon of my grandmothers funeral, or maybe it was the next day, who knows). And guess what? I flew there. Oh and that polygraph, it was only two questions, neither of which were about Kavanaugh. But hey, I passed so that’s all that matters. And my PhD in psychology definitely, in no way, helped me with it or my testimony today.
My friends on the beach encouraged me to continue contacting the media with my story (because we were running out of time). I can’t name them, so we’ll just call them beach friends. Yet while giving such great advice, none were willing to be character witnesses. Meanwhile, Judge Kavanaugh had hundreds of character witnesses step up in a matter of days.
My lawyers, out of the kindness of their hearts, are helping me for FREE yet I have a “needed” gofundme page that currently is sitting at $473,622. Brett Kavanaugh is being smeared as a rapist with absolutely no evidence to support that claim. Serena Williams was losing a tennis match and got caught cheating. I don’t think you can compare the two situations and even then Brett didn’t start smashing stuff.
