I am happy about gif-requests 🌼

Here you can find all of my gifs.

At the end you can have a look at what we can expect in April with a MDL link and a link for a trailer (if avaible).

This is guaranteed to contain spoilers!

1. 25 Ju, Akasaka de 🇯🇵 (4/10)

Finally Shirasaki admits he likes Hayama, at least to himself and now he is in another life-crisis, because he doesn't know how to react in front of his crush. This episode was quite cute and sad and brought in a banger in the end: Yamase, who is going to have a steamy kiss with Shirasaki... Okay... Can I say I am looking forward to it? I mean... look at him?

2. Cityboy_Log 🇰🇷 (14/?)

A missunderstanding? Really? That is what you're going with? You let him kiss you and yes, you should have known better. I might not like Jihan's jealousy, but why tease him? Even if it shows one day you Jaejun didn't kiss the FD, why let it come this far? I would have just left. And yes, this might be Jihan in the last scene, because he loves Jeajun, but I am angry with this whole plot. And I like it! Good drama, but stupid boy!

3. Kare no Iru Seikatsu 🇯🇵 (5/8)

Kazuhito has no girlfriend and the ones he had, broke up with him, because they felt he likes someone else... Who might that be?... Childhood friends are forced to move in together after spending time apart. One is a little bit naive and is trying to find out why girls breaking up with the most charming and handsome guy he knows and the latter is in love with the naive one and in the end they have their happy ending. Episode five and I guess Ryota is finally getting the idea of liking Kazuhito in a romantic way. Something we could see for like at least four episodes...

4. My Stand-In 🇹🇭 (3/12)

Okay, hear me out. I watch this for Poom and for Poom only. But the story lookes interesting, it was quite intriguing. I don't know why, but I cringed a bit too much at some scenes. But Poom is beautiful and that is all I care about. Yes, I can be this shallow! Like I predicted, this series hurts! In every aspect! I don't like Ming and yet I felt bad for him... But Joe... my poor Poom! He plays so good. And Joe deserves so much better! And Tong can just fuck off. I don't like him. At all. And the fact that Ming fell in love with Joe and not Tong, but projected the feelings onto him, because he didn't know better is the worst. And now he is in this state where he glorifies Tong and can't see anything else...

5. Only Boo 🇹🇭 (6/12)

I love these two. They are adorable and a blessing on my sundays! What I don't like? Moo's cousin hitting on Kang. Leave Bambi alone! His beautiful brwon eyes should only see Moo. But he already said, he likes Moo soooo much. Gosh, that made me so happy! Those two make me happy!

6. Wandee Goodday 🇹🇭 (2/12)

Friends with benefits and secretly catching feelings for each other? Please, count me in! I enjoy them so much already. And Dee is a fascinating figure for me. He starts to be cringe and in the middle of the scene he gets badass! The writing for him is really good! And I can't wait for the no-kiss-rule to be broken!

7. Word of Honor 🇨🇳 (20/36)

Those two flirt a lot and are a married couple. Everyone knows that. And I love and enjoy that! Overall this is such a fun watch and the different sects and intrigues are sometimes a little bit confusing, but interesting. I love this world of martial arts and I love how protective Wen Kexing is over Zhou Zishu.

Series

The story about found family, childhood trauma and struggling topped with a lovestory between "brothers". They aren't brothers by blood so I really didn't care and just enjoyed this forbidden and hurtful lovestory to the fullest. This was exactly what I hoped for! The longing, tension and hurting is so good! The love between them is real and strong, but Qian is afraid and can't just let his heart decide over the head, yet. He loves Yuan, but is afraid what that means for them and especially for Yuan's future. I love this series so much! I didn't expect too much when I started it and got hooked really fast and in the end my entire week pointed to the saturdays and te new episode and the interaction here with the fandom. The last two epsiodes lost a little bit track and were to cramped with things that didn't need to be there, but I still loved this whole experience! So fucking beautiful! One of my all time favorites. A clear and big 10 out of 10!
  • Love Is Like A Cat 🇰🇷
The last two epsiodes were so bad I didn't want to gif any scene for this post... I cringed through this whole series... well at least through those parts I didn't skip. I mean, I could not even watch the kiss-scene, because all I could see were the few beard stubbles around Mew's mouth like he didn't get all of them while shaving. And they were so visible against the lightning. And all of their relationship felt so rushed and don't get me started with the thai/korean translator thingy. The concept of this was interesting, but bad executed. It really hurt my feelings to rate a korean bl this low, but everything, the plot, the acting, the dialogue, the script... everything was bad. When I close one eye really tight and think about this cutie Dae Byeol I can give it a 3 out of 10, but really not more.
  • You Are Mine Special 🇹🇼
This was not on my list this month, but here we are. And what can I say? They kissed a lot! So many kisses! If someone likes kiss, here ya go! It was sweet and a good ending to their story, but a little bit to sugary for me. But that is a personal preference. Those two get engaged and Shun Yu's mother approves of their relationship. It was kinda sweet seeing our CEO as "just" the boyfriend. I guess it is what you wish for as a special episode. I am not mad about it. I give it a solid 7 out of 10.
What was this ending? I am speechless and so damn angry! They overcame every misscommunication trope and ended like this? The bad-bitch-wanna-be-girlfriend? The If-I-can't-have-him-no-one-can-bitch? Really? It was a solid web series with great acting and incredible chemistry and they ended up breaking up, because a jealous bitch would destroy Jaemin's life if he continued dating Namyi? And Namyi is now thinking it is his own fault, because his family is rich and because he fell in love? I don't like it here. That ending was stupid. Sorry. Overall a 7 out of 10.
  • Memory in the letter 🇹🇭
I enjoyed this cute series so much, until the final episode... What was that? It was sweet and kinda wholesome, a little bit tacky, but that was alright and I really liked how they fell in love over the mirror. But that ending? The dad's best friend is now your boyfriend? And he looks so fucking different! Like a total different person. I know, love should be blindm but lets me real, if that was me, I would be: Stop. Who the fuck are you? Why is a 40 year old man hitting on me 20 year old? This felt so bad... I have no problem with the whole time travel, but 20 years is too much! And he is his father's best friend. He delivered his future boyfriend. That felt so wrong! I was a fan until ep 5 and with 6 everything went down... I still give it a 7 out of 10.
Okay, it ended.... like that... where is the special epsiode? I want to know how the last date goes between Balgeum and Inho. I am happy for our main couple and they are cute as fuck, but what is with our unlucky side couple? Balgeum wants to become a better person for Inho and that is quite cute, unnecessary, but still kind of understandable. He needs to feel like he can offer Inho something more, while Inho is happy what he already has to offer. But with social backgrounds, I kind of understand him. But where is this special epsiode or spin-off?! I need it! Now! But I am really happy with the ending for our main couple. They are adorable! But the time skips with the hair-extansions confused me a little bit. But for me a strong 8 out of 10.

I love Gi Seop so much, this boy is my hero and my most beloved and then Jin Woo defends him to his father, takes the blame for ripping the paper, because he's always wants to do that. He's always wanted to destroy the research that kept his father from him.

This beloved boy. Jin Woo just out here breaking hearts left and right and deserving to be as cruel as he wants

It's so painful to believe that his idea of a perfect father means never giving any attention to his son or looking at him or knowing him at all but to try and provide this ideal idea for him rather. And to understand that he turned his son into himself, that Jin Woo stopped seeking human contact because of how withdrawn he was, that it took Gi Seop to break down those walls and that his father would have never even realized it without that push.

hey! Sorry for the incoherent thoughts here but I finally watched the your dear daddy trailers and the way u keep talking about the colors and likening sila to being the Angel that lifts tharn up makes me think about how at some parts of the pilot it shows like, a huge difference in platform between them? Like the part where Sila and Tharn first meet in the club, Tharn is waaaay at the bottom of the floor looking up at Sila and Sila is looking down at him…I’ll need to rewatch the pilot to see how much they kinda emulate that

(the other one I can think of rn is near the end where sila is kneeling 🧎‍♀️ by tharn’s feet)

Idk I just wouldn’t have noticed these at all if u didn’t point out the symbolism haha

THIS!

This is the energy I love to see, Anon!

Because there is clearly a height difference between the two leads.

But the way the trailer escalates that difference is brilliant.

I'm trying not to analyze the pilot too much, but as you so beautifully mentioned, it's very interesting that Saitharn, a man who doesn't believe in a higher power, immediately gravitates to Sila who 1) is initially shown to be physically higher than him and 2) has power.

I already stated that I liked that even though Sila enters the club in the red and off-centered,

He instantly walks into Saitharn's blue and centers himself.

But the blue also envelopes him as a he looks down on Saitharn.

And we get that visual again - Sila in the center, higher, and looking down at his farm. His home. His tiny universe where he is the master.

However, Sila doesn't mingle with his people.

He watches them from a distance.

He doesn't even speak directly to them. His right-hand man gives Siatharn his gear while Sila just observes the exchange.

He is an omnipresent god.

And I'm going to go out on a limb and state he probably didn't want that responsibility.

However, Saitharn seems to have changed this.

Sila saves Saitharn.

Sila helps Saitharn.

Sila protects Saitharn.

And even though Sila is still a god and higher than Siatharn, each time he interacts with Siatharn, the space between them shortens.

Until Sila is on his knees, worshiping his god.

So I think we are getting a story about two men who lost their way and gave each other something to believe in. I think Sila saves Siatharn from himself physically and emotionally, while Saitharn will give Sila a reason to care and embrace humanity.

And even though I doubt Your Dear Daddy will give me this level of happiness, I do love when a god (who is white-color coded because he is heavenly yet actually devoid of color and love) wants to be seen as a man.

And the way that god's love helps a blue boy rise.

But, yeah, I'm not thinking that deeply about the pilot trailer.

*I have not been normal about this since it dropped and I will NEVER be normal about it*

As if My Stand-In wasn't rude enough, remember that poster of Ming new Joe first saw when he was leaving the hospital?

It's the same shirt Ming was wearing when he broke Joe's heart.

And remember when I wrote Joe had core strength because he was lifting Ming's shirt up with his mouth since his hands were tied behind his back?

He is wearing the same hoodie in episode four's preview, which means Ming is probably going to do some real stupid shit for Tong.

Remember those ridiculous pillowcases Joe bought?

How could we ever forget them?!

They are laying on each other's in this scene. Ming is on Joe's and Joe is on Ming's.

But Ming takes his when Wut shows up.

Oh, and in the trailer, Joe is laying on his.

And Ming is leaning on his.

And they are clearly in Joe's house because the picture on the nightstand is the same as the first time they had sex.

But . . .

On the very first night they tried to have sex, Ming was wearing white pants and Joe had on these yellow-ish boxers.

And in the trailer they are wearing the same outfits, YET we didn't get THIS scene in the first episode.

BUT . . . those damn matching pillows are on the couch.

They normally are on the couch AFTER JOE BOUGHT THEM!

So that scene from the trailer isn't their first night together. It's later! But how much later? Because these bowls show up in odd places too.

You know, the green and gold bowls Joe bought before Ming broke his heart?

The ones they ate off of like a cute couple when Wut brought them food?

Yeah, the bowl is behind Joe in this scene from the trailer.

And that shirt is the same shirt under this jacket from this scene in the trailer.

Ming is also wearing the blue watch in this scene.

And we know Ming had that suit in the past because it was hanging in his closet.

And we know the fight continues to the house because of this promo picture.

Which would make sense why Ming is sitting there all sad with the green and gold bowls waiting for Joe to return.

BUT . . . why would they be kissing by the gold and green bowls if they are breaking up in episode four and Joe is about to die?

So either Ming wakes up, Joe says nothing, Ming puts in a great effort to cook and sex up his man, only to fuck him over for Tong which leads to them fighting in the street and death.

Or Ming is still living in Joe's house in the future with their green and gold bowls and king of heart pillowcases and we will see those two scenes later.

Or Ming could eff over Joe and still be living in his house two years later since this is the same guy who broke a man's heart in a blue and red striped shirt and wore that same exact shirt a year and a half later when he started working for the same company his ex worked for.

Which is something he never had an interest in.

So to recap, Ming is possibly a sentimental asshole who has been holding onto meaningful items and conversations from his relationship for the past two years and he is acting because he no longer wants to be himself since he doesn't have Joe.

Cool beans!

The eyes tell a story

And in Zhiyuan's case they never lied. Kurt did an excellent job at conveying the difficult task of falling in love in plain sight.

Zhiyuan as a character always stayed true to his feelings. He never expresses his desires but his eyes can't follow logic. He always seems to gravitate towards Qian at all times. It seems automatic like he can't help himself but be pulled to attention by his presence. Like a sunflower to the Sun. Like the Moon to the Earth.

And even though he doesn't express (outside of his inner monologue) the struggle of "falling in love with the wrong person" we can see it clearly. His inner thoughts are summed up on furtive glances and pained looks.

We can feel all the emotions and anguish his character has had to overcome until they bloom into acceptance.

His eyes stay glued to its target no matter the outcome or consequence or who might be watching. Because in the end only one pair of eyes does he care to look into.

Memory in the Letter Ep 6 (Finale) Stray Thoughts

Last time, this show took a weird turn. I suspected that Songjam’s world was behind ours, and when he jumped through the mirror he ended up 25 years in the past. Songjam ended up befriending Aksorn’s future parents, and was able to survive because he was carrying a bunch of gold from his world with him. He shared his story with Aksorn’s mom, and became an ER doctor using the name Likhit gave him. He eventually saved baby Aksorn’s life but was unable to save Likhit. He then waited 20 years before reappearing in from of Aksorn and waiting for the timeline of events to play out. I was curious about Kyo helping out this whole time, but I guess we’re now in an age-gap romance where Kyo bonded with a baby.

  • Aksorn is taking this all fairly well. I am glad he called the stalking what it was.
  • This is probably one of the strangest kisses we’ve had in BL. Both of these guys have been yearning to touch, but the time they’ve held on that has been for so long. Not sure how I feel about swapping the actors for it. I get that it’s muddled between how both perceive themselves in that moment, but it also kinda feels like cheating for shipping.
  • Why are we leaving the shattered mirror here? This feels like an intentional choice for the narrative.
  • “Little Latin boy in drag, why are you crying?”
  • All that batter and they only made two pancakes? What the hell.
  • Are we talking about Songjam’s world again? I have questions about the rise and fall of civilizations in their world and the major types of governing systems used over the last 10,000 years.
  • Is Kyo really gonna spring meeting the dad on Aksorn with no real warning?
  • Pallop had a reasonable reaction and then they resolved it entirely offscreen. Lame.
  • We also finished a whole book between scenes??
  • So the stalker was a child who assumed he was her blorbo? Insane behavior.
  • Oh, that’s it.

Final Verdict: 4.5, Not Recommended. What a weird turn for this story to take. I don’t see the point in spending an entire episode on Songjam jumping into our world in the past only for him to be completely unchanged by it, and then reveal himself to Aksorn and there be so little to unpack there in the fallout of this sudden shift. I do not get why this show wanted to reach for age-gap only to be so surface about it. Is it about how their love transcends space, time, and even age? I don’t know, but these last two episodes were deeply unsatisfying. What a waste.
