Was just thinking about how I've been posting less of my art to tumblr than in the past and maybe I should make an effort to be more present aND THEN THIS HELLSITE DOES THAT WHOLE AI MESS

Thing is, if I stop using this blog I don't know if I'll go somewhere else. I do want people to be able to see my work but I don't have a lot of social energy and the idea of starting somewhere else from scratch doesn't appeal to me, frankly.

But! I've been here for years! Got an almost decade-long friendship and people who don't know me but who I've seen post for years and there's an artist I followed who just nuked their blog and I'm sad about it, you know??

The first time I ever drew this character was exactly ten years ago today :'>

This is such a quick doodle, sorry Sylvestre, maybe I ought to muster up something better for your anniversary– but at the same time, it's kinda fitting? I made him up one day where I was very frustrated with my art, because I couldn't get anything to look how I wanted, and I just… decided to draw something for me. And then I wanted to draw him again, and, eh, it's ten years later and I'm still doodling this guy, apparently!

And heeeere are this year's traditional art summaries! :D

That was a good art year for Bisig!! I feel like I've finally developped an art style for her after all. Back in February I wrote that I "wasn't always 100% consistent with Bisig’s art style" but look where we are now! I'm sure it'll keep on evolving over time but I think the semi-lineless flat colours look finally settled and I'm really happy.

AND I MADE SOME COMIC PAGES AND THEY LOOK VERY NICE. MY PROUDEST DRAWING ACHIEVEMENT THIS YEAR. HURRAY. The mini-comic has 1822 notes as of writing and it's still absolutely wild to me. I've never had so many notes on original art before ;v;
