maroon is literally an evolution of french marron, meaning chestnut. its a brownish red. like a chestnut.

This is like hilarious but also stop being pretentious, it’s a perfectly fair comparison to make. Navy blue = a darker and more desaturated blue and maroon = a darker and more desaturated red. The modifier “navy” is so disconnected enough from its roots that it makes sense for it to assume a new contextual meaning. Sure, the name comes from the British navy using it, but what we’re talking about is how it modifies a color.

I'm gonna do the opposite of those shitty tiny fish bowl aquariums with one fish that's obviously too large to fit there. Getting a big-ass aquarium tank and fill it with pretty aesthetic plants, decorations and maybe a cool funky light source, and not a single fish in there. Every time someone visits and sees my cool tank and asks where the fishies are, I'll just say "they're around there somewhere, they probably heard you coming in so they're hiding. Maybe they'll come back out eventually."

But there never was a fish. The fish were never there.

I just first need to make sure it's not a social one. And also every time when someone asks me why there aren't any more fish than just the one, I'll just say that I tried adding some, but that absolute monster keeps eating all of them.

The chemiluminescence reaction between luminol and sodium hypochlorite is catalyzed by the presence of a metal ion, such as iron or copper. The metal ion helps to stabilize the excited state of the luminol molecule, which makes it more likely to release the extra energy as light.

The chemiluminescence reaction is very sensitive to impurities, so it is important to use pure chemicals. The reaction can also be affected by the pH of the solution. The optimal pH for the reaction is around 9.

The chemiluminescence reaction between luminol and sodium hypochlorite can be used to detect blood, as the iron in hemoglobin can catalyze the reaction. The reaction is also used in some commercial products, such as glow sticks and emergency lights.
