Gonna be up all night playing Dauntless

I got really intrigued by this game that got talked about at last night's game awards called Dauntless. I played the intro this morning and I swear it is the game to answer my MMO RPG prayers! I'll be up all night playing it so if anyone wants to play with me, DM me and let me know. I'm gonna start in two hours. (It's almost 8:00 where I am right now.) Just so you know, I have standards. No squeakers. Imma need ages before I decide whether I wanna play with you or not. Sorry I just don't want to go deaf before the ripe age of 25.

I'm a little pissed

So a little bit ago I found out that one of my favorite tumblrs@shadowthekitsunereturns , an absolutely CLEAN furry blog is shutting down and moving to twitter same as all the NSFW users that seem to be migrating there. I was a bit confused. I don't use twitter that much and as such, am a little afraid to make the leap between platforms. (I remember it confusing the shit out of me the first few times I used it.) But I didn't understand why they were making the change seeing as their clean. It turns out that I guess tumblr is also taking steps against the furry community and the LGBT community. I realize that by making this post, I'm effectively shouting into the void of nothingness that is @staff , but I digress. What the fuck is wrong with furries and the LGBT community? As a bisexual furry myself, I find myself caught off guard, and a little offended by all this. I'm supposed to just uproot and move to a different platform because of some shitty notions tumblr has about furries??? And what the fuck is up with the LGBT thing?! Tumblr used to be a gay guy's best friend! There's absolutely NO call whatsoever for this decision, and if anything, I think this is the play that will finally kill tumblr. Not because there won't be anymore furries and gay people (or otherwise inclined) but because they're enforcing all these new and realistically unreasonable rules that constrict the user's freedom on they're website. People talked about it a lot when youtube thought they were experiencing doomsday events; this is basically what happened to MySpace. (Sorry if I wrote that incorrectly. I made a guess as I've never used the platform personally. That being said, what I have to say next is admittedly a little trivial.) People apparently got sick of MySpace because they were enforcing all sorts of new rules that basically pissed off a lot of people. As a result facebook was born and quickly gained popularity among basically the entire world. A happy little accident that started between a few college kids. I guess I'm rambling now, but basically that's I see happening here. Regrettably, this means I'll be making the switch too. I'm gonna have to take time to figure it out, and I'll of coarse provide a link for whoever wants to stay connected to follow me. (Not that I get much activity on here anyway lol) I'm gonna miss this blog though truthfully... @staff Stick it up your ass. 🌵🌵🌵😬😈

I guess I'll address the elephant in the room

So I keep seeing people talking about this NSFW ban tumblr will be enforcing on December 17th of this year. While my blog and the blogs that I follow are strictly safe for work, it still seems to be a huge topic of discussion regardless and I thought I'd through my thoughts in. Let's be real. We ALL watch porn. Some of us for pleasure, others for observational reasons, and even some still as an escape method from the rest of this punishing world we call earth. I don't know if this change is inherently bad, but what do I know? If I need to get my rocks off, it's a quick trip to PornHub or some other website such as that and I'm golden! After I wipe myself off that is. (Oh come on, I gotta make this post funny somehow.) I truthfully don't see why this change needed to happen however as that little lock button under the search bar seemed to do it all for the most part from the get go. (FOR THE MOST PART but I'll get to that in a second.) Furthermore, I feel like the community on tumblr that WAS watching said explicit content made up a good chunk of tumblr's demographic, so it doesn't seem like such a smart business move to me either. (I didn't want to throw out a percentage because I thought someone would get butt-hurt, but if I had to guess, I'd bet my money on the porno community that tumblr is shutting out to be around a third to possibly even half they're general audience.) On the OTHER half of the coin, (this is where that for the most part comes into play) there are some tumblrs that I follow simply because I like their art, who post MOSTLY safe for work content, but then I get those unwanted sprinkles of yiff and such in my dashboard that freak me out and make me worried that someone in my family will walk over at the wrong moment, see my screen, and automatically assume that that's the sort of thing that I'm into. But even with that point made the aforementioned coin analogy seems a bit weighted on the other side seeing as this could have been simply remedied by giving the user the ability to block certain tags from appearing on their dashboard or even simplifying that approach by enabling some sort of safe mode that did all that for you. An extra step aside from the little lock icon if you will. I'm not saying I support one side or the other (though it kinda sounds that way I guess huh?) I'm just saying that a lot of people sound pretty upset about this change and I think that @staff could have handled this a multitude of different ways that would have kept both the SFW and the NSFW sides of tumblr happy. Of coarse, they've already made thier decision and it sounds like their minds are made up regarding the matter. Either way, I just thought that I'd say something because I was seeing so much about it from everyone else and I guess I wanted to put my two cents in you guys can decide whether you care or not, I'm not really affected one way or the other in terms of all this stuff.
